I ordered the audrey dress from boden in a bluey green. it is lovely.

also ordeted a blue lacey dress from betty jackson, I need it for a wedding if I don't wear first dress. was in debenhams offer. not sure if it is strictly spring colour but most of thr dresses are the wrong colours and expensive.

Is this a Spring option?

oh how exciting Joycey, just sit back and enjoy (and if you can do that then unlikely you're an ing as we tend to ask lots of questions!)

I hope things are more positive for you at the moment so you can really enjoy it

Hi everyone. I had my style done a few months ago and I'm classic dramatic. I'm really struggling, feel like I'm questioning everything! It's a wonder I manage to get dressed!! Any inspiration?

Hello April, welcome to the Spring threadSmile
I'm not sure what classic dramatic involves as I'm only going for my style day next week. It sounds very glam.
What sort of things did they say would suit that style combination?

Hi Aqueleven, thank you for replying. I feel as far from glam as can be today! But at least my colours are ok!

Classic seems to be things like clean lines, simple shapes. Classy looking/expensive looking is what she said. I think my dramatic is that I like leopard print, red lipstick, interesting bags. I think it is this that stops my 'classic' being frumpy or too traditional. Sounds a bit of a mess when I put it like that though!

So..…
I m a classic ingenue ! Did not see that coming!!!Shock

What?!? No natural!?!? Wink Lovely! Was it fun and are you happy with that?

Side swiped - can't really equate any of it

What does it mean Joycey? Is it the classy, clean lines expensive look( that April explained) but with more girly touches?
I'm getting even more confused as to what I might turn out to be now. Some sort of natural with touches of dog hair I'd have thought.

April, that sounds a really swish mix, very upmarket looking. What sort of Spring did they say you were?

Was it a good experience, Joycey? How did it feel being there on your own, as I will be too.

I bought another jumper today. But! I've fallen into the blues again.....another navy Blush I definitely need help with this, roll on next week!

I need to explore my feminine side, girly skirts, small but glitzy accessories, no stripes, floaty materials -no boots think ballet shoes!
I m a rugby coach and I live in skinny jeans, stripy tops and my boots.ShockShockShockShock

Oh heck!
Can't see me being ing at all. I'm so not girly skirts or floaty fabrics. I'm more skinny jeans & warm, snugly sweaters, though I do like a bit of bling & am very partial to a gorgeous bag & colourful scarf.
But would have thought you were similar, Joycey, & look what's happened!
Confused

Did any of you look at my dress link at Debenhams. i think it worked 3rd time. I like it but would love your inputSmile

Love the colour & the plain style but lace material. Think it works best with the plain cut. I, just personally, wouldn't suit sleeveless but it's a lovely dress. Hasn't Debs got a special event on too at the moment?

thanks, I wouldn't have chosen sleeveless but everything is so dreary. i liked the fact I wouldn't have to worry about gaping neck line. will probably buy silver shrug to wear over it.

have other dress to fall back on.

I'm a blue spring Aqueleven. Your new lipstick sounds lovely. Coral is a good one for me but I usually use MAC.

Any inspiration for any classic looks Joycey? I love the ingénue look - just can't pull it off apparently!

What did everyone wear today?

Yay Joycey another classic Inguene like me Grin . For what it's worth I never wear ballet flats - you can get feminine boots so don't see an issue there. I'm still getting my head round it. I was told to always wear a necklace - I rarely do (big boobs). Just didn't get some of it at all.
Welcome to the thread April. Hope you pick up lots of good advice here everyone is really friendly.
I failed in my shopping task today Sad .4 hours at least 50 dresses tried on - nothing. Couldn't find any of the ones Aque or I linked to either! Might give up on the dress idea and get seperates.
I tried on that Debenhams Blue lace dress - felt it was a little small for size and possibly more of a winter Blue. Very nice though.
