Ooh-marking my place on the new thread. I am waiting for the delivery of my boden coat. Will report back tomorrow as I have had an email to say it is on its way.....

Aquavelen - I used to be guilty for buying stuff that worked for my former life/work. Just getting in to this stay at home thing and seem to have a job offer so will have to make sure I don't have a time lag re smartening up for the office Wink. It's weird how long it takes to adjust, isn't it?

And yes, cardie was an excellent price. It's actually not remotely tight on me - might be worth trying the age 15-16 if you do like it as it is a spot on (non-blue) spring colour Wink. You can always send it back (for free) if it doesn't work.

If you want to mix up the blues, I really like blues with taupes. Looks a bit more expensive than with cream. And a little bit of yellow with blue can look really good. (I think? Confused). I think a bright blue/turquoise and coral might look a bit like you've 'just had your colours done' Wink. Love navy with a bright Kelly green as well.

Right - off for an early night! Sleep well Springs. Especially Joycey - hope you have some good support with you. Like others have said, this thread is probably far too frivolous for you at the moment but sounds like we are all thinking of you xx

p.s. Fooogle - maybe call the HoC consultant and see what she thinks? She might be able to combine a rerate and a mini style slot (3.5 hours as opposed to a whole day Shock) for a better price, especially if you are confident you are a spring and are just interested in subtypes. The starring process was remarkably quick in my case (which is what you'd need).

I was wondering if someone could post the list of names of colours on the Spring HoC swatch. I probably did have them at some point but can't find it in any of the HoC materials I still have. It will help me describing on this thread rather than 'the middle turquoise colour' etc Smile Thanks.

Today I am trying a new combination of 2 items I've had for ages - a yellow short-sleeved blouse under a fitted apple green scoop neck jumper - and loving it! Not sure why I haven't tried it before and am now thinking I can use a couple of other summer short sleeved work blouses (which tend to lurk in my wardrobe all winter) under other scoop/round necked jumpers or dresses. A whole new look without any shopping required!

Birdy I love it when I find things I can wear out of season, love getting that value Smile

shop I would love to hear about your coat. My Boden delivery arrived yesterday! A skirt (useless at links but the Smithfield wool one) in a beigy colour (below waist so should be ok) and a skater in a fantastic springy red, just a stiff fabric so perhaps more a line than drapy, not sure!

As promised I have made more of an effort today, red scoop neck dress with twist at cleavage with cream violet and vavy little bits on!, choc tights and boots. Even have my hair down (unusual for me midweek as I work with smalls), and Clinique Ambrosia buttershine lippy (closest I have to red, need to find a red I'm happy with)

Mumelie · 13/11/2013 19:50

Hi everyone. Been really busy today so not had a chance to come on. Finally sat in front of the fire after a fish and chip supper.
Was wearing my joules turquoises knitted tunic, Boden navy leggings and cropped cardi with tan knee boots to work today. This evening been to riding lessons with DD so it's grey skinnies, big old red jumper and a v warm navy puffa coat. brrrrrr. so glad to be back in the warm.
How's everyone else doing being Springy in this chilly weather?

Report
Aquelven · 13/11/2013 19:59

I've had a hectic day too so glad to be home in the warm at last. It isn't easy finding spring winter stuff is it? I'm finding I've got a real thing about navy with grey, sounds boring I know but feels right at the moment & not too loud. I'm not feeling very loud.
So today dark blue skinny jeans, big sloppy cowl neck grey striped sweat shirt( last year Next) & thick warm navy cardy, bright pink HoC lippy, silver earrings, black suede boots. Wore a purple parka & grey/ purple scarf outside.

Joycey, really glad to hear you sounding cheerful. I hope the road ahead is a good one for you both. Just smashed my phone, grrrrr, it's hard to see the screen in 50 tiny pieces Confused

I'm looking back at my double stars after the chat below. I'm called a bright spring but my (9) doubles stars are bright navy, coral, geranium, poppy...then violet, bright blue, aqua, turquoise and aquamarine. What makes me bright rather than blue spring? I can't see how I could be much bluer!!

Report
Aquelven · 13/11/2013 22:13

I suppose it might be the coral & geranium, jumping, I haven't got those though I do have poppy which was a shock as I've never thought red suits me at all. Is "bright" one of the HoC sub groups? I don't know what they all are.

Joycey Smile oh, fingers crossed its all going to work out for you both now, we're rooting for you here. Fingers & paws all crossed.

Fingers crossed that it works out well Joycey! Sounds more positive.

Jumping - I'm a mish-mash of double stars even though my consultant described me as blue-ish. I have coral and some geraniums/pinks as well as the turquoises, Kelly green and a blue. And tan Confused. And a yellow. Which confuses me.

Mumelie · 14/11/2013 08:27

Yes I'm Blue but also a complete mix of all the bright shades. In fact I think I have more reds/pinks as my 2* colours!
I'm being un Spring today in a dingy pattern dress and Cardi - really need to do some ironing Wink and get rid of stuff that isn't right!

I'm not springy at all today either,Mumelie. Wearing black jeans & fluffy big jumper in a deep fuchsia pink. I love the cosines of it but have to admit now that the colour makes me look freshly dug up. Sad
I really need to start getting rid of stuff too.
Sounds like you have a good spread of ** colours as well, like beginner.

Mumelie · 14/11/2013 09:14

Yes a good spread , so glad to have the reds as they are my favourite. Just feel quite dingy at this time of year as those brights are just too much! Also not feeling too well today and my hair is in desperate need of a colour so anything would look rubbish!

Report
BirdyBedtime · 14/11/2013 10:47

Brilliant, thanks Beginner. I've printed that out!

So I can now say that my * all over colours are Tangerine, Geranium, Flamingo Pink, Kerry Green, Canary Yellow and Turquoise plus I also have several which are for 75% which are the other greens, the other turquoises, geranium pink, terracotta, poppy, corn yellow, banana, cinnamon, oatmeal and beige. So basically reds, pinks, corals, greens and aquas. Sounds a bit like you Beginner* but without the blue. I'm a clear spring though.

Joycey I do hope you can work things out. If you keep to good colours it will make you feel good and confident which can only help.

I'm in a beige sweater dress, chocolate tights and red pumps. No scarf but tangerine beads.

BirdyBedtime · 14/11/2013 10:49

Ah, should be 2* all over colours etc and not bold! D'oh

Hope you feel better soon Mumelie. I had my hair highlighted last weekend after too long and it makes such a difference.
