Hi Springs.
New thread, hopefully, with the following link to our old one....

Early Spring

MrsP did you not get the funny old fashioned drawings on sheets in the back of the book with ticks to show what you could wear?

MrsPeacockDidIt · 12/03/2014 21:17

Mumelie, we didn't really have time to go through all the drawings as we were already an hour over. I did ask about why there were no skinny trousers on the trousers page!

I'm guessing that I go first for the body shape and then narrow it down based on personality type?

I'll email my consultant and ask her.

What did come across was that because I'm perfectly proportioned (although not very tall) there is very little I should avoid as long as I followed my romantic natural look. Just to avoid boob enhancing items as I don't really need them Grin

Aquelven · 12/03/2014 21:36

Could you not ask your consultant to scan the pages of drawings, tick the ones tight for you, & email it to you? Doesn't seem right that you should have missed out on that as it's part of the style consultation.

OP posts:
Aquelven · 12/03/2014 21:37

Right for you, cos you don't want them tight really eh? Blush

MrsPeacockDidIt · 12/03/2014 22:30

Ha ha I didn't even notice your typo!

I'm going to do that. It's all so much to take in on the day that I'm sure she' ll be expecting an email.

Does anyone know off hand which way round these types work? So as a Romantic Nautural which is my main bit? Am I a natural but with romantic side or a romantic with a bit of natural thrown in?

I've seen some nice kimono jackets on h&m website so I'm going to look at them in store tomorrow. I rarely end up wearing any of my h&m purchases as I find the material too itchy/sweaty/cheap (apparently that's my romantic personality coming out but I can't afford to buy silk and cashmere ALL the time Grin

MrsPeacockDidIt · 12/03/2014 22:34

Thank you Travel. I've emailed my consultant this morning and I'm sure I'll hear back.

And thank you for the explanation. I certainly don't feel dramatic but I am very confident in myself and so I think that's a big part of being dramatic. I guess I could do a lot worse than Beyonce, if only I had her voice !

BeginnerSAHM · 13/03/2014 11:51

Oh, sounds v cool Mrs P! I'm another natural ingenue. Am better at the natural bit Wink.

Aquelven · 13/03/2014 15:50

Oh, I really like that one, thank you MrsP
But I'm going to try it on in the shop first. My one & only experience of Zara was approaching a shop assistant who was about a foot taller than me, to ask what a size 14 would be in there, to be told witheringly, down her nose from a great height, that that would be a large or extra large. I beat a hasty retreat as fast as my newly little fat legs would let me Blush

MrsPeacockDidIt · 13/03/2014 16:36

I understand that feeling all too well Aque. It really annoys me that they only ever seem to go up to a Medium in store. (and i'm a little short for them too!)

EustaciaVye · 13/03/2014 18:19

saw a nice coral blazer in wallis today. might have other colours?

Joycey29 · 15/03/2014 08:20

Bumping us!

Mumelie · 15/03/2014 09:09

lol well done Joycey - how are you anyway?
Is that coral blazer in Wallis the one I linked to? Is v nice jersey but doesn't do up. Can't wait for warmer weather to wear mine - still a bit chilly of a morning.
Had a lovely meal out with friends last night but feeling a little delicate today so will be wardrobe sorting and outfit planning for the day. I might slip into the city centre to look at the grey H&M shirt Wink

EustaciaVye · 15/03/2014 19:07

It may well be Mumelie. The coral seemed a bit too bright for me. I tend to wear a really bright top with a more neutral jacket or cardi.

Aquelven · 15/03/2014 19:24

Well done Joycey, we keep slipping down.
Did you see anything nice in town, Mumelie ?
Hope you've recovered.

Was wondering about this one as it's the shape I was told to look for here

It comes in navy too.

Mumelie · 15/03/2014 20:12

Oh I do like the jacket Aque. I sadly didn't see much when out today. Did go into H&M but couldn't find the shirt (ended up buying cheap Black ankle boots) - plus has DD with me so it was mostly focused on her Wink !

Aquelven · 17/03/2014 13:30

Went into town this morning & bought this but in silver grey which is one of my two star colours.
Also got three scarves from TKMaxx, a light wool turquoise & green patterned one, a light wool coral patterned one & a Fenn, Wright & Manson coral & cream leopard print one.

Hello Springs!
How are you getting along?
Scarves sound good Aque...I've order two from New Look as I needed to bump up my order to over 45£...
I've ordered way too much recently trying to be wintery but am trying to put stuff on eBay from my Spring days as fast as I can (goodness I hope that the analysis was right this time!!) I am bracing myself to do the peachy coloured leather jacket I only recently got Sad and trying to decide if a black one is permissible to now buy!

Aquelven · 19/03/2014 12:51

Can you wear black now Fooogle ?
Gosh, we miss you on here, used to look forward to reading all your amazing charity finds
I got a green leather biker in TKMaxx a couple of weeks ago for £50 something, wonder if it's the same as your peach one? This is a Gharani Strok, was really chuffed only had two in & both my size Grin

I'm walking proper now, no crutches...yeah! Just waiting for the swelling to go down then I'm off on a shoe hunt.

How are you enjoying being Winter? Is your new thread a busy & helpful one?

OP posts:
Fooogle · 19/03/2014 14:39

Can wear black at *50% so not my absolute best but still...if you get the chance...!

What shade of green was your jacket? Mine wasn't as glam as a Gharani Strok...! Some weird brand possibly made just for TK Maxx! but still, its nice so I am sad to ditch it and looking for a replacement...Same goes for most of my wardrobe really, I seem to feel compelled to ditch it all and start replacing despite not really having any funds!

I miss the spring thread. Winters are nice and all but not such avid posters as us at the moment! Grin (especially as I am still up loads in the night with my way to old for it two year old)

I'm trying to do my lippy and that's pretty much as bright as spring's but cool so its still a bit scary. Trying a bit more nail varnish. Currently dabbling with a pale grey...

Glad you are nearly fully fixed! Do you have a shoe wish list?!

Aquelven · 19/03/2014 16:38

That must make life a bit easier, being able to wear black as you see do many nice black things.
I really can't do cool lipstick, makes me look ill, so you must be right now if you can?

The nearest green on my swatch to the jacket is leaf ( two stars at 100% for me) except it's very slightly greyed, if you know what I mean. Perhaps not as bright as a really a Spring green but it blends with the swatches & at that price eh? Grin

I haven't got round to a real wish list yet. Been told no heels yet so perhaps ballet type flats( which I've never been able to wear before) but with a bit more support in the sole, and then some sandals...all in the right colours of course Wink

OP posts:
Aquelven · 19/03/2014 16:40

Oh heck Blush please excuse all the typos! rushing on my phone!
Edit button, please MN !!

MrsPeacockDidIt · 19/03/2014 17:27

Aque I just bought some ballet flats from next that are a bit more supportive that really really flat ones. I'll find a link.
