Hi Springs.
New thread, hopefully, with the following link to our old one....

Early Spring

I've got a few things from Woolovers, Joycey. A couple of the hooded cardigans & three others.

Hi all! Am back from NY with an impressive haul....Shock. Will post some links tomorrow but have been v good and only bought in springy (ish) colours.

Got navy/bright blue 'tweed' collarless jacket with gold zip to go over navy work basics, large grey Coach handbag ('bleecker') (again for work), cork small clutch with gold flecks from J Crew, 2 jumpers (one orange and one coral with gold shoulder zips) from J crew, navy t-shirt with silk patterned back and hem from J Crew, cream cotton jumper with lace/crochet bits on from Anthropologie, Genetic indigo skinny and (finally) jeans, vests, PJs and a Kelly green cotton cardie from old navy. (Plus loads of children's stuff from old navy plus a couple of Ralph Lauren bits for them which we're really cheap in the sale!!)

Queen C - am a natural ingenue and a bit stumped about spring footwear. For casual, I wear those slim converse with jeans or ballet flats if I'm not wearing boots but I tend to find I either wear tan biker-ish boots (with feminine other bits) or strappy flat sandals/fit flops. I don't really wear in between footwear... Guess the fit flops are not at all 'ing' Wink.

BeginnerSAHM · 03/03/2014 22:38

Oh, and two gorgeous delicate gold bracelets from Chelsea market (mostly food but some other stuff!) - one has grey silk and a small circle and the other is a gold chain with an arrow on it. Very 'ingenue'. I hope. Anyway, I love them and they were v inexpensive!

MrsPeacockDidIt · 04/03/2014 21:05

Oh beginner I'm very jealous of your haul !

I'm thinking of getting a J Crew merino tippi as they seem to mentioned all over MN and the blogs.

Do you think this is a good match for spring?

here

All the purples and teals swatches are 100% ** for me

Does anyone have one?

I have my style day next week so I'm super excited. I'm going to guess that I'm a natural classic but I shall wait to be surprised Smile

What is on everyone's shopping list for spring?

I think I'd like some pale grey brogues, silver ballet pumps and some chinos.

BeginnerSAHM · 04/03/2014 22:25

Sorry - link fails but you get the general idea....!

Gillybobs · 05/03/2014 07:41

MrsP I don't think we have a powder blue in our swatches do we? I love the tippi I have a bright neon coral and a very bright blue

I have ordered a yellow and grey animal print top using the whistles grazia code and I've just got a great top from FC, it is black, ivory and yellow so it's a little off piste but I thnk as a bright spring a little black in a pattern is fine for me

Beginner, sounds like you had a blast!!!

MrsPeacockDidIt · 05/03/2014 08:33

Ah it should have linked to deep riveria colour but its only available in xxs anyway so no good.

Aquelven · 05/03/2014 09:17

MrsP what about the vivid turquoise? Gorgeous colour, two * for us, & seems to have all sizes.

OP posts:
MrsPeacockDidIt · 05/03/2014 10:38

Thanks Aque but I already have a top in that colour from banana republic, although I don't wear it much as it seems like too much brightness in one block.

Mumelie · 05/03/2014 17:40

Nice haul Beginner! Liking the Jcrew jumpers and that clutch bag is cute!

My Spring shopping list isnt much at the moment - some skinny black work trousers - found today here as was a coral blazer here. Discounted bargains for work - so fed up with dress cardi and long boots.
I need some ankle boots - small heel, more like a shoe boot, perhaps black suede or some cut out ones bit like this? Seem to be going back into black when i know a lot of my spring/summer stuff is navy.

Joycey29 · 06/03/2014 22:00

Love my new jumpers from Woolovers!
Just great colours and so reasonable! Grin

Aquelven · 06/03/2014 22:19

I really like Woolovers, got a few things last year.
What's the green like Joycey? Is it like one of our swatches?

OP posts:
butterfliesandflowers · 07/03/2014 00:06

That's good to know Joycey, am eager to hear about colours and also how well they wash too!

Aquelven · 09/03/2014 20:12

Flipping heck! We're on page five...'twill never do!
So bumping us.

I could do with a new blazer or lightweight jacket for spring/summer ( not a mac type) Has anyone seen anything in Spring colours?

OP posts:
EustaciaVye · 09/03/2014 21:10

Not my colour but pink or a nice blue

MrsPeacockDidIt · 09/03/2014 21:45

I love those boots mumelie. These are similar but in blue and the company is a bloggers fave seven boot lane.

I just bought this in denim silk slub. It s good match for Oxford blue which is one of my ** and feels so lovely. I thought it would look good with white linen trousers.

EustaciaVye · 09/03/2014 21:57

MrsPeacock, that top is lovely. Sadly I am far too busty to look good in it.

I seem to have lost my mojo when it comes to shopping. Cannot find anything I like for myself at the moment at all.

MrsPeacockDidIt · 09/03/2014 22:01

Eusta you might be surprised. I'm a 34F and I think it looks nice on me.
I'm actually going to take it to my style day on Tuesday so ill let you know an expert opinion. I'm taking it as its an item that sums me up really well, casual style but lovely fabric.

Aquelven · 09/03/2014 22:31

Really like both of those, Eustacia, thank you. Do you think that pink is a spring? It says fuchsia, but would make a lovely change from blue.

Those boots are gorgeous. We all seem to be on the busty side, I'm a 34GG, not great when it comes to finding clothes. Only being 5'1" as well, find it best not to stand in a strong wind Grin

OP posts:
MrsPeacockDidIt · 09/03/2014 22:54

I think the pink is a bit Flamingo but its hard to tell on screen.

Mumelie · 10/03/2014 06:55

Thanks for the boot info MrsP - those are lovely. However after the lovely weather today think I need to concentrate on sandals Wink ! I had a look round the shops this morning wearing ankle boots and was boiling!

Spent the weekend getting some of my Spring/Summer clothing out. I went to HoC last May for colour then style - and bought a whole new wardrobe off the back of it (had also lost 2 stone). Wow did I go for the brighter colours! Might need a few neutrals to tone it all down.

EustaciaVye · 10/03/2014 07:02

I think you would need to order ghr pink and try it tbh. our computers change the shades somewhat.

i am 36h and 5ft1 so sounds like we are all similar

BeginnerSAHM · 10/03/2014 11:49

Oh Mrs P - love the Jigsaw top... And am very jealous of all you well endowed ladies... Am a pathetic 30c. Actually, probably a 28d but can't find any nice padded bras in that size. And I need the padding...Hmm.

MrsPeacockDidIt · 10/03/2014 13:36

I'm a shortie too at 5ft2 Grin. We should think about doing panto !

That's one of the reasons I really wanted to do a style day as being busty and short makes shopping difficult sometimes.

Mumelie i'm so jealous you already have a wardrobe full of spring spring wear. I didn't do my colour day till August. Mind you it does mean I have a good excuse to get shopping Wink
