MrsP I'd love an excuse to do all that shopping again - lucky you (although lots of horrid pastels in the shops at the mo ).
I'm a towering 5'6" Wink but also busty at a 32G.

Aquelven · 10/03/2014 16:14

MrsP it's your style day tomorrow isn't it? Wonder if you'll be the same as me.

OP posts:
MrsPeacockDidIt · 10/03/2014 16:17

what are you Aque? I'm think i'm going to be a natural classic but you never know

MrsPeacockDidIt · 10/03/2014 16:18

and yes sorry Mumelie you can't be part of the shortie gang Grin

BeginnerSAHM · 10/03/2014 16:52

And you can't join the 'average height small boobs' gang for obvious reasons. Actually, I'm the only one in it so far....Grin

Aquelven · 10/03/2014 16:59

I'm a natural ingenue.

OP posts:
Mumelie · 10/03/2014 20:09

That's ok I'm in my own special clique of average height, busty and dark haired Spring. Grin

Joycey29 · 10/03/2014 22:07

Shortish, smallish boobs and blondish hair - just ish!

MrsPeacockDidIt · 11/03/2014 19:06

So I had my style day today and I'm a (drum roll please)....... A romantic natural. In very abstract way I should take inspiration from pirates and highwaymen!

Anyone else a romantic ?

Mumelie · 11/03/2014 19:42

Oh exciting MrsP - complete opposite of me as a classic ingenue so can't help you at all!
Does it feel like you? Hopefully it's not too dissimilar to your existing look.
What sort of things did your consultant suggest to add to your wardrobe?

Fooogle · 11/03/2014 19:49

Hello
Popping over from winter Grin.
Wow mrsp highway men and pirates! My son would love it if I had that style!
Tell us more

MrsPeacockDidIt · 11/03/2014 20:33

It does feel like me yes. I'm very much a rock chic at heart and even though it's not very spring my favourite going out outfit is based on black leather leggings and black ankle boots. I've never seen a skull print scarf without loving it either. It's going to take a while for it all to sink in but I'm lucky that I suit lots of things, tight trousers, loose trousers etc i just have to make sure I try not to be too boring and add flamboyant elements to my outfits which I do like to do anyway.

Gipsy queen and Prince Charming are other sort of key characters for Romantic Naturals.

Fooogle · 11/03/2014 20:42

Random mention of some hoc lippies I've just bought via eBay. They are new, though think old style packaging? There are a few spring ones that may have been discontinued if you fancied them. Think I searched for house of colour.

mrsp that all sounds reassuring and nice to feel you kind of knew. Really wonder what I'd be... One day I'll take the plunge. Do you have curly hair? Read someone saying if you did you had to have natural as one aspect?

MrsPeacockDidIt · 11/03/2014 20:49

I don't have curly hair. I have very short, very strawberry blond hair. Think principal boy hair!

A lot of the diagnosis came from personality to be honest which made sense as I went with a similar shaped friend (albeit a much slimmer) one but she is a gamine (can't remember the other part but not natural).

I do have a very flamboyant personality and I think that's why I've been a bit meh about my style recently because I haven't been giving into that side of me in my clothes. It is hard to think of a spring coloured pirate though!

So I think my summer wardrobe will include a few more maxi skirts with some floaty tops. I will have a look around for some kimono style jackets too as I like them and they fit right in with romantic natural (as long as its made of beautiful fabric of course Grin )

Joycey29 · 11/03/2014 21:13

Mrs P - I m so jealous ! I wanted to be that!
Am a curly haired rugby playing drama teacher and I m ingenue!
So not me!!

Aquelven · 11/03/2014 22:35

Wow!! Grin
How brilliant is that??
Pirates, highwaymen, gypsy queen, principle boy, Prince Charming....nothing boring there! All flamboyance, swirling capes, slap-my-thigh boots, big hoop earrings ...terrific!
I'm a natural but a natural ingenue, all girly stuff toned down with a good helping of wellies & dog hair Grin

Hi Springs.
Hope you can help in a shopping/colour challenge?! Grin
I need a replacement for my denim shirt of several years - it's totally the wrong colour (mid dusky blue) but is was such a useful part of my casual wardrobe and I miss wearing it (even though the colour does me no favours). Has anyone seen any coloured denim shirts or one in our navy? The blues in the Spring palette are ** for me so hope there is something somewhere. I like a fitted shape but also have big boobs so need to cater for that. Hmm
I dont want just a cotton shirt, need something thicker like denim, I like to layer them over stripy tops.
Thanks Grin x

Aquelven · 12/03/2014 17:40

Travelin thank you so much Grin you've just vindicated me & made huge sense of the whole thing for me.
When I had my style day, alone, my consultant disappeared upstairs to the computer to see what my forms diagnosed. She came back with Natural Ingenue & a sheet just about Naturals.
After reporting back on here I was convinced I was more ingenue, being vertically challenged, not big except in the boob department, curly blonde hair, always in jeans but with girly tops, surrounded all day by mutts.( had a kennels for years). There's no way I could waft around in maxi dresses or drapery....If I wasn't tripping over it I'd feel like a prat & look like a mushroom hammered into the ground, fertilised with muddy dog prints.
So I emailed her & asked if she'd kindly send the sheets on ingenues to put with the natural ones, which she did. Then it all made sense! That was much more me.

Mumelie I'll keep eyes peeled for your shirt.
I want a lightweight jacket, blazer possibly but has to be single breasted, fitted & not too long according to my style sheets. Something that will go with most things so possibly cream or very pale grey. I'm trying not to buy too much blue, which I have been doing so must look at other colours.

OP posts:
Mumelie · 12/03/2014 17:54

Thanks Aque - if you do see anything let me know.
Have you tried Hush for a blazer? I had this one in the grey and navy 2 summers ago and they got worn to death! I really like this beige marl (yuk - its cream) - but would have to see the colour irl. Do you need casual or smart?
Also, thanks to Travelin from me too. I couldnt remember which bit was stronger for my style - this puts it all in context - I'm mainly Ingenue with a classic slant.

Fooogle · 12/03/2014 19:30

aque someone had a pinterest winter board with lots from new look. Not usually somewhere I bother that much with but def had jersey blazer in grey marl? Looked quite nice. Also quite a few denim shirts in h and m though no idea on fit. There was a grey but maybe not a spring grey?...
I could do with a good denim shirt. Ordered a few last year but none looked quite right somehow...
Ordered some next jeans today... Black and grey and dark blue. Winteryness...!

Aquelven · 12/03/2014 19:40

Thanks Fooogle & Mumelie that Hush blazer is nice but it doesn't fasten & really wanted one that did up. Will look in New Look too.

Mumelie is this the sort of blue you mean? Know it's only Asda but at that price?

Aquelven · 12/03/2014 20:00

I will keep eyes peeled for items on people's wish list. My denim shirt is from tesco and so lovely and soft (although the sleeves are too long which is a big pain)

I didn't really get an idea of the shapes of clothes I should be wearing or was that more based on body shapes? I was hoping to get more of a "you should wear high waisted , loose fitting trousers" etc but I got more of a "dress with these words in mind" so floaty, gypsy, pirate, expensive fabric etc.

So my wish list is a heavy jersey maxi skirt in navy, bright if possible, and also some funky belts. Oh and a kimono jacket in a spring grey or other spring colours.

I'm finding it hard to find images for a romantic natural as the romantic side is coming through too much to be useful to me.

Kiera knightly in Pirates of the carabean may be Grin

Mumelie · 12/03/2014 21:03

Thanks for the links. I like the grey H&M one - think this might be a good colour to look for.
My current one is from Tesco and is a perfect fit. Wonder if I can dye it? Have to look at the fabric content - there is some stretch to it.
I'll look out for other blazers. I got a good navy cord one in the Boden clearance section on their website. Might be worth a look.
