Hi Springs.
New thread, hopefully, with the following link to our old one....

Early Spring

OP posts:
Mumelie · 30/11/2013 14:30

What are you shopping for april ?

aprilmay · 30/11/2013 14:35

Anything and everything really mumelie

I've lost nearly a stone recently and just want a bit of a treat!

Mumelie · 30/11/2013 14:45

Oh well done, I know how hard weight loss is! You deserve a treat.
The shops are awash with black, and that berry shade we cant wear!

aprilmay · 30/11/2013 17:48

Exactly - and isn't that berry shade just delicious? So rich and autumnal!

Perhaps I should wait until spring and go for a big shop then - but weight loss doesn't feel very noticeable when you're still wearing your old clothes!

alemci · 01/12/2013 11:47

I'm feeling unwell and haven't posted much recently.

I did buy a couple of tops from Boden and will see which colour suits me the best

www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Tops-T-shirts/Short-Sleeved-Tops/WA460/Womens-Ravello-Top.html

The Betty Jackson blue lacey dress for the wedding was too tight on the hips but it was lovely so I am going to wear this instead. It is very flattering.

www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Dresses/Smart-Day-Dresses/WH544-GRN/Womens-Rainforest-Winter-Audrey-Dress.html

instead. It is not very cocktailish but I have bought silver sandals and ordered a silver cardi from House of Fraser but couldn't get a 10 so hoping the 8 will do.

EustaciaVye · 01/12/2013 20:06

Hello Ladies,

I have been invited here from my other http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/1927428-Colour-Me-Beautiful-Clear-Warm-Fancy-helping-me-find-some-clothes thread

I am colour me beautiful Clear and Warm which I believe translates to warm. I am in need if a boost and think some new clothes may help. Any suggestions welcome :)

EustaciaVye · 01/12/2013 20:06

Silly tablet. link here

aprilmay · 01/12/2013 21:53

Lovely dress alemci.

Welcome Eustacia!

Joycey29 · 02/12/2013 20:00

Welcome Eustacia! Grin

BeginnerSAHM · 02/12/2013 20:09

Welcome Eustacia!! Not quite sure what to suggest re clothes at the moment though.... There aren't many very 'spring'/'clear and warm' colours in the shops at the moment.

People on here seem to be doing quite well with Boden (in fact, I'm wearing a JohnnyB (teenager range) coral cardie) and Benetton have a lot of knitwear - a few in springy colours.

BeginnerSAHM · 02/12/2013 20:09

p.s. Joycey - glad you've kept the hair! Sounds v pretty long. Wink

Aquelven · 02/12/2013 20:21

Hi & welcome Eustacia Smile
Just checked out your link & you are definitely same as us. Have you had time to catch up on this thread? There's another one before this one, if you check the first post on the first page of this thread you'll see the link, so lots to read & you might get ideas.
We're definitely the blues, greens & corals, my best ** colours are all blues & turquoises & no black permitted Confused but navy & grey thank goodness!
How was Colour Me Beautiful? Be really interested to see the differences to HoC.

Hi everyone, not been around as I went away for the weekend. Scotland, so I just HAD to call into Hawick to check out the cashmere factory shops.Especially as Pringle had sent me an email saying it was the sale at their outlet shop, so reductions on reductions Grin
Bought some cashmere gloves for Christmas presents, reduced from £48 to £12, & the most gorgeous thick polo necked( I know, I know, was told not to wear high necks being vertically challenged) but it is SO soft & thick & tunic length & turquoise & a one off sample reduced from £375 to £50 Grin Grin . Also lusted after a cardigan, not sure if it was light enough coral or more Autumn, so hummed & hahhd, went off to check out some of the other outlets where there was nothing well there was but starting over two hundred quid is not my idea of outlet shopping so dashed back for the cardy but it had gone! Sad ..Note to self, if you see something in an outlet, grab it!

Are we all springy??
I'm in grey jeans, blue fluffy jumper & charcoal cardy so half & half Hmm

Aquelven · 02/12/2013 20:23

Your hair does sound lovely, Joycey, glad you kept it.
I've never bought any Boden, sounds like I'm slipping up.

OP posts:
BeginnerSAHM · 02/12/2013 20:27

Ooh, Aquelven - jealous of the cashmere haul!! Sounds fab.

Re boden - it's not really 'me' but bought a plain cardie as the colour was perfect and it's lovely and soft AND warm. (Buy it for the children though - only when reduced Grin.)

EustaciaVye · 02/12/2013 20:35

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the welcome. I will backtrack through the threads when I have time Smile

Colour Me Beautiful was good. I had colours and style done. Reaffirmed that all of the colours I like wearing actually suit me, and made me realise why a few things never got worn.

She did my make up and I think I am a little more confident with that although I hardly wear it so dont get much practice.

Style session was good on the whole. She made me think a lot about the type of fabrics I wear and style fitting in with my body shape. I am only 5ft 2 and have huge norks which makes life difficult Hmm

Joycey29 · 02/12/2013 20:39

I m a CMB clear and warm too!Grin

Boden good for basics at the moment!

EustaciaVye · 02/12/2013 21:01

I have never bought Boden. Are they true to size?

Mumelie · 02/12/2013 21:12

Hi and welcome Eustacia Grin

Boden is pretty true to size I find - I have a problem with their waist sizes being too small but that maybe me Wink . I buy a lot of Boden and find its generally very good quality (and resells well on eBay). Read the reviews for fit plus they have garment measurements too.

I'm wearing my oatmeal skinny fit cable jumper with mid Blue skinnies (bad not spring like) dark tan knee boots and a big scarf in tan dove grey and black. Have put on a few lbs being ill a
so not feeling so hot right now! Sad

alemci · 02/12/2013 21:19

yes boden is great, I also resell on ebay. colours are usually nice and not dreary.

EustaciaVye · 02/12/2013 21:20

I have quite a tick waist so might need to try a few to see.

I am wearing dark grey leggings, dark pink long sleeve tunic with pinky purple scarf. Had black boots on earlier. The pink top is too cool for me but it was a bargain buy Grin

Aquelven · 02/12/2013 21:31

Mumelie you're in the same boat as me. I put wright on being laid up with my foot op, desperately trying to lose it but not having much luck will power Confused

Eustacia you must be similar to me, I'm 5'1" & big up front, doesn't help with clothes buying does it?

At least I'm getting used to the bright lipstick now

OP posts:
Aquelven · 02/12/2013 21:32

Weight not wright Blush ... Mumsnet, for heaven sake get an edit button!

OP posts:
EustaciaVye · 02/12/2013 21:57

Aquelven - yes it is a pain. I am 14 on bottom and 16 on top.

Fooogle · 03/12/2013 10:55

Hello all
Not had much of excitement to say the last few days but been catching up on your posts.
Just thought some of you may be interested that Clarks have 50% off some boots that (can't recall who!), maybe Aque linked to ages back. Navy or camel coloured suede [http://www.clarks.co.uk/p/20352712]
I've just ordered both pairs in the hope they will replace some work boots I wear to death.

Today I am in brown/taupey pinstriped trousers, yellow top and yellow cashmere cardi...failing on the lippy front at the moment. Don't feel like drawing attention to myself...though saying that a yellow cardi is quite noticeable!

Fooogle · 03/12/2013 10:56

Hmmm
