I can remember that too! Diesel jeans, brown shoes, white RL polo shirt, contact lenses and back then he had a PT so had no tummy and HUGE biceps. Love at first arm squeeze!

shopafrolic · 01/09/2013 20:53

Just asked DH if he could remember what I was wearing. He was doing really well "cowboy boots, jeans, white top and blazer" and then he said blue/ grey blazer....... It was black Hmm I'm still quite impressed.

After decluttering, I rejigged my wardrobe. I appear to have 24 coats and jackets.

LinusDKD · 01/09/2013 21:07

I just asked DH if he remembered what I wore when we met.

Me: DH do you remember what I wore when we first met?

DH: when we first met? Mmmm, maybe.

After about two minutes

DH: do you remember what you wore?

ME: yes, and what you wore as well.

DH: I'm afraid I don't remember. Did you wear trousers?

Hmm

After telling him what I did wear he said "ah yes, those grey linen trousers" in a not very enthousiastic voice.

It was 11 years ago, but come on!

Night, night. Time for bed.

My memory is usually better on the song playing at the time something happened or the perfume I was wearing than clothes to be fair Linus

LinusDKD · 01/09/2013 21:17

Alas, dry no "de" in my name. And I'm not French. Maybe that's why I never quite pulled it off?

Really off to bed now.

Drywhiteplease · 01/09/2013 21:19

OneLittleLady · 01/09/2013 21:21

I'd be quite happy for the bootcut to be back shop bootcuts do a wonder of balancing my substantial hip area out.

santamarianovella · 01/09/2013 21:28

dry good one,
i was not very glam, jeans and sweater, i was a student back then, midterm break went to paris with few friends and one of them asked her brother to pick us from the station as we had not enough money with us, her brother came wearing his running gear , he was about to go for a run when his sister called crying, and begging for a lift,we were to scared to take the tube, and it was getting late, me and my other friend sat in the back seat, trying to fix our hair and look presentable ,while he argued with his sister about how a bunch of careless silly girls we are Grin

i looked much much better the next time we met lots of preparations was involved.

shop yours is the best one! loved it

Decameron · 01/09/2013 22:20

I wore grey wool Sisley shorts (loved those shorts), black opaques, black ballet shoes and a black wrap top, probably also Sisley. DH did his masters with my cousin so met him on a night out with her crowd. She was my bridesmaid a few years later.

I was very into the blazers, pearls, loafers and scrunchies look when I was younger, looked like my mother's mini me in photos and really have only lost the scrunchies and pearls now, not much else has changed!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 01/09/2013 22:22

I met DH in 1989....I could tell you what I was wearing but then I'd have to kill you but I fear you may ban me from this thread.

Dry the horsebox isn't too challenging to drive, but every now and again when you remember you have £100k of racehorse on board (usually when you're doing 65 round the M25) it gets a bit nerve wracking!

Have enjoyed the notion of all you stylish ones as young sloanes around the globe! I say bring back velvet hairbands, especially as I never wore one first time round.

santamarianovella · 01/09/2013 22:31

dec back in the early 2000s we all dressed kind of preppy/slone, pink cotton striped shirts with argyle vests and sweaters, lots of tods loafers and ballerinas,i look back at some of my university pictures, and see a totally different person,
