DP's mum is going to teach me how to sew dry so I cans tart making and altering my own clothes Grin I've wanted to learn for years but never had anyone who could teach me and there's nowhere in town that offers basic courses or anything. Dp's mum has already very kindly given me her old sewing machine and some fabric to play about with and practice stitching straight lines

Marsha pm!

shopafrolic · 11/09/2013 16:00

Get well soon QueenC. DS has the back to nursery runny nose so I am eyeing him suspiciously.
I have audited my wardrobe. AM being sad and logging everything into an Excel spreadsheet!
Highlights - I own 5 grey sweatshirts, 12 pairs of jeans and 23 t-shirts Blush
I really don't need to buy much at all this season. Dark khaki skinnies of some description, those boots...... and perhaps a 2nd chunky knit

Novice I have some bits that aren't good for EBay so will PM you and see if you want them......

Dry - It is indeed grim ooop north. I walked the dog in a big red puffa and red Hunter wellies, not stylish but at least I was colour coordinated Smile

Thanks for the links mig, I really like the Karen Millen skirt. Ideally I want something blue like this, but am struggling...

plaid skirt

Hope you are feeling better soon Queen.

OneLittleLady · 11/09/2013 16:21

Hope you feel better soon QueenC

Get better soon Queen.

I have been out all day picking up some stuff for the DC's and enjoying not rushing too much to get back for nursery pick up (DS2 now staying til 2.15pm instead of 12.15 Smile). Didn't see anything I loved for me but Shop I did see a lovely knit in Anna that made me think of you. Frustratingly I can't find it online but it is by Marie Sixtine, same green as that one (which is also nice I think) but chunky and with a few metallic gold stars embroidered on it and a dark gold zip up the back, approx £135 iirc.

Also in Anna I loved this coat. There were also some great Unreal Fur jackets, not sure if they are really me though.

Liberty I love that Stella coat, it would look fabulous on Marsha wouldn't it!

I wore my mad trousers today with pistols and black alpaca ladder back sweater. They definitely attract people's eyes downwards Smile.

shopafrolic · 11/09/2013 16:56

Thanks Sleep will nip into Anna here and take a look....... Gorgeous coat.
I like the idea of the Unreal jackets too (they stock them in the DR) but fear I'm now too past it........ Your outfit sounds great, what a lovely way to spend your DC free time - good work :)

Meant to say Linus I love the sound of your outfit - esp the yellow and blue combo.

I'm wearing today , dark grey, acid wash skinnies, a fuchsia cotton vest underneath a mint green short sleeve slouchy knit and a tarnished gold swallow statement necklace. I'm fairly pleased with how it looks to be honest, it's normally a big deal for me to make this much effort Grin

Does anyone have rhubarb in their gardens?

We planted some earlier this year, but don't know what to do with it for Winter.

shopafrolic · 11/09/2013 17:18

I was going to tell you about rhubarb Anni - but not now as you've tarnished my shiny thread.
