CremoGrin

bigTillyMint · 29/08/2013 18:36

I heart Maggie badge ROFL
I was in Sheffield at the time of the miners strikes - quite different there!

hattymattie · 29/08/2013 18:36

Sometimes I think he's a parody of himself - Boris that is.

Cremolafoam · 29/08/2013 18:39

Lol maggie badge. I was all about cnd in them days.Grin

Yes the bride ( a mutual friend) thought Boris and I would ( as 2 single blondes I supposeWink) hit it off well. It was like The Cold War at our tableGrin

You're not posh enough for him, Cremo Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 29/08/2013 18:56

I'd be thankful for that.

Cremolafoam · 29/08/2013 19:14

Grin Nah too street, too much swag innit

OP posts:
motherinferior · 29/08/2013 19:16

I'm certainly not posh enough for him. And I'm quite posh Grin

Cremolafoam · 29/08/2013 19:21

He asked me if I was a Protestant Jew or a catholic Jew .Grin
I nearly pushed him off his pedestal.

Stropperella · 29/08/2013 22:03

You should have rubbed his face in his pudding for that, Crem.

I think Bozzer is charm-free. He is like a Bond villain, only successful with his evil plans.

You could be a Jew for Jesus, Crem.

CointreauVersial · 29/08/2013 22:20

Boris Schmoris.

I have to say, it is interesting that Boris was a well-known and recognised figure at Oxford (even though he was two years ahead of me, and at a different college).

David Cameron, however, was in my year, and lived a couple of streets away from me in the third year, but I was not aware of him at all.

Ruby, I want a new house. Mine is crappy.

Lions??Shock
Did you buy a zoo?

OP posts:
Stropperella · 29/08/2013 22:48

Rather you than me, Ruby. I would spend my life convinced that the lions would escape and eat me. Grin

QueenQueenie · 29/08/2013 23:09

Lions? Lions? Where? Why?

alto1 · 29/08/2013 23:32

I was in Sheffield during the miners' strike too ... Don't think I ever saw a Maggie badge. Parents used to threaten their kids, you do that again and Maggie Thatcher'll come and get you.

Would like to come on 20th but we (I) haven't done the diary exercise yet - should be okay I think. Can't do cocktails though (lightweight)

Well done on singing MI

Blackduck · 30/08/2013 07:33

Ruby glad all went well and you love new place. I hated our new house for at least the first 6 months - can't say it's a love match even now!

Boris is a prat, and for all that faux clumsy buffoon is, I think a nasty piece of work.

bigTillyMint · 30/08/2013 07:50

Ruby, happy new home! Envy
(I think she said there's a zoo in her village?)

Oh dear, sorry for mentioning Boris. DS firmly refused to have his photo taken with him (there was a couple doing just that!) - I did have a proud mummy momentSmile

herbaceous · 30/08/2013 08:06

Well played Ruby! I think I missed the jealousy-inducing pics of your new gaff - any way I could see them now? Though it would just make me Envy.

Have taken the bull by the horns over DS's school, and am going to start playing the system and trying to get him in somewhere else on the grounds of 'special medical needs'. Needs must.

Blackduck · 30/08/2013 08:28

Good luck Herbs - and why not play the system if you at unhappy with current school.

MrsS have you got an interview today? - fingers crossed!

Boiler man is doing following - new boiler, take out water tank and all associated gubbins, flush system, fit valves, new radiator in top room etc. so I guess it hasn't really taken him that long, but split over the bank holiday and stalled because of hand it just seems to have taken forever....

MrsSchadenfreude · 30/08/2013 08:38

Yes, interview today. I am taking advantage of the fact that everyone works from home on Friday and am at home doing a bit of research, so that I don't sound completely stupid during the interview.

BD - our Paris apartment is beautiful, and quite grand, but if I'm honest, it has never really felt like home to me. I am all alone here now, and packing up the dregs and cleaning the place over the next week.
