Addle?

MrsSchadenfreude · 28/08/2013 21:10

Where did MaybeBentley go?

Blackduck · 28/08/2013 21:17

I wondered about maybebentley - did we scare her off? I thought we were friendly ....

beachyhead · 28/08/2013 21:21

I'm coming...

bigTillyMint · 28/08/2013 21:23

Yes, Addle!
And Dukes (can't remember her name-changeBlush)

Cremolafoam · 28/08/2013 21:55

Oh mrs s that's great dd is 'getting involved"
We have the opposite problem according to dd's English teacher today. Dd has great difficulty saying no to activities and really needs to rein it in this year. I am deleting emails that I should be passing in to her about drama and music opportunities ( bad Cremola)
She has , her teacher claims ' spread herself a little thin'
Oh dear. I am trying to persuade her now to drop her 4th A level subject if she plans to resit her English AS level.( " Not her best work" apparently)
This has gone down likes ton of bricks. Major huff . Door slamming.
Pms fury. Weeping .
She really hasn't time to do 4. And IMHO does not need to.
In response to your kind inquiry about dh Alto the answer is
About as helpful as a chocolate teapot. He is doing a bit better MH wise but not unlike you Stropps , pretty much everything has been dumped at my door .
Roll on 20th SeptGrin

How can the house be so messy and untidy when there is virtually nothing in it?

The kitten is clearly distressed as she has pissed lavishly all over the hall rug (which belongs to the landlord). DH says if she carries on doing that on our carpet in London, she will be off to Battersea. Sad

motherinferior · 28/08/2013 22:18

Our house is a tip.

But but but I have a haul of more skincare fabulousness from beauty journalist friend so am going to go and trial the Vitamin C Cleansing Oil (DP, obviously, looked dubiously at it) and possibly the array of serums promising Radiance and Yoof. Ho yes. You won't know me on the 20th, I'll be aglow.

Cremolafoam · 28/08/2013 22:21

Oh bad kitty mrs s.
I have now also alienated our cats by force feeding them both the anti-flea tablet. Cue enraged screeching .

So that's pretty much a full house of pissed off bastards.

Going to have a bath: where other people are notConfused

You'd better wear a name badge MI, for identification purposes.

CointreauVersial · 28/08/2013 23:24

Me me me! I'm coming on the 20th!

Sorry to hear tales of crepey woe. The only answer is cocktails.

This house is like a morgue without the DDs. DH is away tomorrow as well, so it's just DS and I. We will be having steak for tea. Grin

Blackduck · 29/08/2013 07:11

My house is a tip as the boiler man is still doing stuff (if its this bad with the boiler I am not sure I can stand having the bathroom done..)

Sorry Cremo hear of all then woe.

Taking ds to in-laws today for the rest of the hols.

bigTillyMint · 29/08/2013 08:20

Oh CV, how did we forget you?! So
Stropps
Cremo
MrsS
MI
BTM
Ruby
QQ
BD
Herbs
Beachy
CV
And???? I'm getting excited!Blush

CV, house like a morgue? Sounds bliss!

Poor DS and DH had a time of it last night - waited an hour and a half for a train and then had to run to another station - I finally picked them up at 10.30Shock What if something similar happens when DS is doing it on his own???

Oh, and I think I have cystitisSad

Cremolafoam · 29/08/2013 09:36

¿ donde esta Wilbur?

Phew. Singing went OK. But it gets you thinking about life, a funeral, innit.

motherinferior · 29/08/2013 13:31

And that was post 666Grin

Cremolafoam · 29/08/2013 13:40

Spooky
Well done MI .Grin

OP posts:
Blackduck · 29/08/2013 13:54

Glad it went well MI. I have handed a very excited ds over to his nana and am now off to see a friend for dinner... Meanwhile chez Blackduck boiler man thinks he'll finish tomorrow - I hope so!

hattymattie · 29/08/2013 15:45

Well done MI - I don't think I could even speak in public let along sing (not that anybody would ever ask me to sing).

BD - your boiler man saga has reminded me to phone for our annual maintenance check - which I forgot last year.

Have to get off now as DS is reading over my shoulder.

motherinferior · 29/08/2013 15:50

I can't sneak in a header of 'country matters' (Hamlet RUDE JOKE) into a newsletter, can I? DP has already nixed 'Carry on Clamping' for another...

bigTillyMint · 29/08/2013 16:06

BD, your boiler sounds like a marathon!

Having a day of exercise today - gym (and then coffee) with a friend, bike ride with DS and DH (and late lunch at City Hall - saw Boris again) and will be walking this evening And it's still sunnySmile

hattymattie · 29/08/2013 17:52

DD2 "I wish I didn't have periods - I wish I were a man ... mind you if I were a man I'd be ugly". Grin I've sent her off with some paracetamol.

BTM what a glam life you have - although I did meet friend for lunch in Paris today - no Boris spottings though or even French équivalents.

motherinferior · 29/08/2013 18:24

Talking of glam, and cats, I just responded to Loud Feline Bellows from outside. The wretched beast has left a disembowelled rat on the front pavement. And he looks really proud.

Cremolafoam · 29/08/2013 18:31

I sat next to Boris at a wedding once.
He failed to amuse me . I thought he was very oafish - he had not long hone down from Oxford and I gave him a very stand offish northern Irish meh face for the 4 hours of the wedding breakfast.Grin

OP posts:
motherinferior · 29/08/2013 18:35

He was a twerp at Oxford. Sat around in the library in his I Heart Maggie badge.

I sat around in my own badges...
