Can we start a BODEN review thread for the AW stuff?

After much excitement at having a load arrive today I am sorely disappointed.

The trousers are TINY. I tried the very skinny jeans and can't even get the 10 to zip up, despite having loads of other size 10s in Boden trousers.

The Roma Ponte trousers are the same- tiny- and the rise is so short it's almost indecent. They feel like surgical stockings.

The peter pan dress is okay though a bit bulky around the middle even in an 8- so size down. Not sure if it's a keeper.

The cable jumper is itchy and shapeless.

The broderie jersey top is very big and makes me look PG due to the high empire line right across the middle of the bust.

So- everything going back and might re-order stuff using 20% off.

Has anyone got the EASY POCKET DRESS OR THE LIBBY DRESS ?

the black and white patterned one from this seasons is SCREAMING out for a bit of lycra
hence its going back

Libby dress going back, I look pregnant. So frustrating, it's a lovely shape otherwise. Why oh why do they do high waists with full skirts!

Alexa dress I'm keeping. Also high waisted but as its not a full skirt it doesn't matter unless your tummy sticks out. The blue is like in the catalogue, but not as light/bright as it looks on the website, which I would have preferred, but it's still nice.

I'm sending back the tan leather pouch bag as it really is a revolting colour brown, and keeping the less useful but much nicer turquoise version.

Keeping tan ballerinas which are a really nice rich tan.

Coral scoop neck t is neon bright but fine so I'm keeping that.

Blue sixties mini will get worn loads with boots in winter so I'm keeping that too.

I bought the Boulevard dress.
Too short and a bit boxy. Quite restrictive for walking as material has no give and it's short.
Lovely quality I thought but I've sent it back.

I got the collared Breton in white with a navy stripe. Not quite the perfect key piece I'd imagined in that it's not as fitted as I'd have liked, but keeping it. The collar is v cute. Am usually a 10 in Boden tops but the 8 is plenty big enough.

overandabove I have the Hannah dress in what you call dark pink and it's a really deep, rich berry/maroon shade - just slightly up the pink rather than the blue end of that spectrum, but not actually pink at all. Luckily for me - as I'm a pink-hater - but I like this.

Thanks polyhymnia, that's really helpful. I wanted it to be not-blue, so that sounds good. I think this might be a better shape for me too

It (the Hannah) is certainly long enough in the waist for me and I'm 5'9''. The fit's quite flattering, I think.

Charlotte the Paris blouse is very generously cut - I'd size down if I was worried about extra material. It's very lightweight and billowy though - not bulky at all - sort of a silky material that tucks into skirts or trousers very nicely.

I really fancy a decent shirt with a collar but I hate it when they pull across the bust (and gape). Being big of nork would 'The Shirt' be any good or will I get a problem?

Skye jumper is green is gorgeous - big though less enormous than last year. I prefer them slightly large as they always shrink a little being wool. Black straight leg cords perfect (if I don't put on any weight).

Has anyone tried the Marilyn Dress yet? I really like the look of it and have ordered it in pine.

Oh me too Cake , haven't ordered it - can't bring myself to drop £75 on a dress - but noticed it yesterday and REALLY want it. Considering an Ebay drive to fund it. The pine is my favourite colour, but I think the dark blue might suit me better.

Bought the flat brogues. As I have wide feet, a big mistake as despite buying a size bigger, could not get my hoofs in. Ditto the heeled ankle boots. The boys Parka is fab though for 1O year old ds.

Green honeycomb knit is lovely. V soft, great shape for me - slightly boxy but nice fitted and long sleeves, long in body too. Nice neckline. Them it will look great with grey or indigo skinnies, maybe white too if I ever get round to buying some. Also will look good with grey tweed, either miniskirt or wool shorts are on my aw wish list.

Leopard flats - ordered two sizes and the ones that fit I don't like the pattern variation so am going to ask for a switch. Great shape though, and the slightly too small pair are lovely so I hope the sub is as good.

Must have tunic- verdict? I'm a small 10 should I get a 10 or 8?
I can't scroll very well on my phone but was that the dress that gave the pregnant look?
It looks similar to a joules tunic which sadly does that to me!

I don't usually bother really looking at the Boden catalogue (just sale shop from time to time)

But I just had a quick flick through and it actually looks like a really good season this time. Some nice shoes, lovely merino crew and it's boring but I'll have to have the stripy tunic.

what's the cashmere like for quality? is it better than in recent years? you can get a totes different item if you exchange at same discount i think, am tempted by pink cashmere or the mustard yellow sixties mini.

I found the cashmere crew neck and Skye jumpers huuuge in my normal size. The everyday button back is meh. But LOVE the printed button back in grey - in my normal size its a little slouchy but in a nice way, its not fitted like on the model but if I sized down it would be too short I think. Keeping it!

I found cashmere quality about the same as uniqlo, and uniqlo's is cheaper.
