Can we start a BODEN review thread for the AW stuff?

After much excitement at having a load arrive today I am sorely disappointed.

The trousers are TINY. I tried the very skinny jeans and can't even get the 10 to zip up, despite having loads of other size 10s in Boden trousers.

The Roma Ponte trousers are the same- tiny- and the rise is so short it's almost indecent. They feel like surgical stockings.

The peter pan dress is okay though a bit bulky around the middle even in an 8- so size down. Not sure if it's a keeper.

The cable jumper is itchy and shapeless.

The broderie jersey top is very big and makes me look PG due to the high empire line right across the middle of the bust.

So- everything going back and might re-order stuff using 20% off.

Has anyone got the EASY POCKET DRESS OR THE LIBBY DRESS ?

I think I am now over Boden.
The button back jumper came today and it's horrid imo. The 8 is big, the fabric is synthetic-y, the buttons make it look like you got dressed in a hurry and got it wrong, and the colour which should be a soft blue is more deep aqua.

My only consolation is that most new reviews give low stars for the same things I sent back.

Thinking about exchanging for the spotty cardi and the printed merino jumper but not sure.

Don't know where I go from here- the only other shops I remotely like are Mint Velvet, Jigsaw and The White Company- and all expensive.

Oh dear. Have just checked to see if there is a review on the Libby dress I ordered yesterday. There is. My fears of a too-high waist seem to be realised, I suspect it will be going straight back as I do not wish to look pregnant...

Button back jumper in grey spot - I really like this. Very j crew.

The j crew tippi alikey jumper in pink - again very nice. Will be very handy for me for autumn under jackets and looks good with jeans.

The stripey cashmere jumper - I didn't want to like this as its £££ but its lovely. Again, looks fab with jeans.

They have definitely paid homage to j crew with their knitwear which for me is a good thing.

Still waiting for three pieces of knitwear but got the Mia coat in navy wool, perfect for my apple shape, finishes top thigh and is so flattering. Fabric feels lovely

Also got the Hampstead top in bright green. Love it too, fabulous colour, really great smart casual fabric. It's basically the Ravello top with sleeves. May have to go back for another

sorry to gatecrash but johnnie doesn't love me any more . I know I've been pregnant since October and therefore only ordered clothes for the dcs but I've had NOT ONE catalogue or code sent to me. Now baby is here was thinking of ordering the edie dress should I find a code, looks like it might be easy to feed in. Has anyone ordered this one?

I want the velvet hoodie and did want a new bag but not leather, the wipe clean jobs- fancy a new a/w nappy bag affair. My one from last year died and I got an exchange but I didn't like the new patterns as much. I do like yours Orianne though.
Am on the hunt for some shoes and hoping for a 30% code as I have spent far too much on clothes recently.

Well.

Tippi jumper lovely quality but just didn't suit my boobs. Also felt itchy so would need something under which would add too much bulk. Could just be feeling itchy as it's so warm at the moment though.

Ponte roma trousers thick and stretchy and very comfy, large though. I'm a very apple-y 12 and got the 12 regular and they were too big. Dark grey lovely colour.

Ravello top in black lovely and lower neckline and less puffy sleeves than SS offering, but too big (got 14 as have a 14 from before and fits fine)

Leopard belt nice but far too big (got M)

So all going back.

I might re-order the Roma trousers because I realised I'd ordered petite for length but could easily shorten regular ones.

Think I'm returning the grey with black spots button back jumper - so fine and not a great shape. The pink merino J Crew-like jumper is lovely and a keeper.

Can I do exchanges on returns but for a completely different item? Does that even make sense?! May as well get 20% off what's now in my basket

MrsMcGregor Yes you can do exchanges and get your 20% off those- sometimes I do exchanges on exchanges, and keep going.....

It's a good idea to hang onto those return labels too and sometimes I put more returns in the bag than when they are delivered,which means I 'save' a free returns label for another time.

Just one point- why does everyone keep going on about J Crew? Are they renowned for some type of jumper?
I am not a great lover of stripes- in fact I don't like them- so that counts me out for lots of the ideas here!

J crew do a style of jumper called the tippi - the shape of the boden one is very very similar.

Also J Crew did a spot jumper last year, again the boden version is very similar.

I love J crew stuff but its generally more £££ than boden and you currently need to order from nap (small selection) or the US. Am looking forward to it opening in the UK this November.
