Bum! Just join a thread and lock it down! So I'll start the next one.

OP posts:

Shock Where will the water fight be taking place? Not in pizzeria surely.
Grin

motherinferior · 01/08/2013 20:44

They have gone to X's house.

Allegdly DD1 is being walked home. Hmm. We'll seeGrin

Blackduck · 01/08/2013 22:19

MrsS a firm 'FYI you are not gate crashing my dinner' text .... Followed by 'rearrange these words into a sentence - off fuck'

Item MI - hmm ;)

MrsSchadenfreude · 02/08/2013 00:51

She arrived. About thirty seconds after posting on here. I largely ignored her, but she is so thick skinned she won't notice. I quite want to say, would you crash a dinner at your boss's house? No, of course not. So why do you assume you can crash mine?

Still fuming a bit.

Blackduck · 02/08/2013 06:10

Thought you were short of chairs MrsS - hope you put her on a pile of cushions! I really would have just said you are not invited and I do not have the room see you another time. Goodnight.

Anyway hope it went well!!!

bigTillyMint · 02/08/2013 07:43

Just caught up on your busy day's chat yesterday - MrsS, I bet your dinner was fab, and no wonder she wanted to crash it - take it as a complimentSmile

MI hope your DD got home OK (having had a wholesome timeWink) - this is the beginning.....

We spent the day at the beach yesterday, once we had managed to lever grumpy DD out of bed. She cheered up just before we got there and we had a lovely day - helped massively by meeting up with friends whose DS is DD's age and good friends with both mine and going back to their (borrowed) mobile-home for a long evening.

Have now got to try to find some more shorts for DS for the hol as he has only one pair of proper shorts that actually fit!

And someone more witty than me needs to think of the next thread title!

motherinferior · 02/08/2013 09:39

I have been worrying about the next thread title. Possibly Crepe Expectations?

DD1 arrived home - X's mum and he walked everyone home - and has gone to the Pompeii exhibition at the British Museum. DD2 is loafing around doing nothing and watching too much telly. I am gearing self up to do some work....

QueenQueenie · 02/08/2013 10:11

The Crepe and the Good?
Crepeing into Autumn?
Autumn Term at Crepey Towers?

QueenQueenie · 02/08/2013 10:12

Just seen you post re working MI. That's exactly what I should be doing... Please could you give me a virtual kick up the bum? Ta.

Blackduck · 02/08/2013 10:13

'The Good, the Bad and the Crepey'?

MrsS BTM is right, invites to yours are cleerly to be prized - hence the gate crashing.....

Ds did the V&A yesterday and I think they are off to the Museum of Childhood today. I had a (rare) childfree dinner with dp.....

I intend to have a lie in tomorrow.

QueenQueenie · 02/08/2013 10:15

Nice titles...
Could you kick me too BD? TIA

motherinferior · 02/08/2013 10:17

QQ, go and do some work.

DD2 is watching The Golden Compass. Lucky sod.

Blackduck · 02/08/2013 10:17

QQ? :)

Blackduck · 02/08/2013 10:18

Get on with it QQ and MI !!

Funny I was thinking of the Crepe and the Good too

MrsSchadenfreude · 02/08/2013 10:48

Me too, MI. Crepe Expectations is excellent. I have not been able to come up with anything.

Uninvited guest got quite drunk. So did the rest of my team, most of whom appear to be "working from home" today...

MrsSchadenfreude · 02/08/2013 10:51

As am I for now. I am slumped on bed tinkering with my "think piece" that no-one will read. And Mumsnetting.

Blackduck · 02/08/2013 11:05

Good night had by all then MrsS!

I'll read it.

bigTillyMint · 02/08/2013 11:08

Yes, it sounds like another successful night - will you be doing any South London Crepey curry nights?Grin

Love the thread title ideas!

MrsSchadenfreude · 02/08/2013 11:43

Oh yes, BTM. I fully intend to have a crepey dinner when I am back. But it may not be curry - all anyone wants here is curry. I may treat you to a nice Eastern European rib sticking dinner instead.

MrsSchadenfreude · 02/08/2013 11:58

I have given up on sewing on name tapes for school and have ordered iron on ones. Life is, frankly, too short.

motherinferior · 02/08/2013 12:08

I have (a) copy that the editor wants rewritten (b) a child refusing either to fix me up with a friend for her OR to occupy herself. I actually quite want to cry. I've had enough...

MrsSchadenfreude · 02/08/2013 12:11

Send child out here, MI. She can veg with mine. One of whom is teaching herself the piano and the other of whom is drawing manga. Or better still, get on Eurostar and come out here.

motherinferior · 02/08/2013 12:37

Am very tempted.

CointreauVersial · 02/08/2013 12:55

Well, I finally managed to prise DS out of his bedroom, after four solid days doing very little. All three of them are somewhere in town while I'm at work, on a sliding scale of supervision-level (i.e. DD2 at holiday club, DD1 at mate's house, DS - who knows??? Probably smoking in a bus shelter somewhere Grin).

Blackduck · 02/08/2013 13:05

I use a Sharpie MrsS - sod getting the iron out

MI - get on the euro star ;)
