Have filled the bin! It's amazing how a bit of full-on pruning can raise your spiritsSmile

Found you all, welcome MB!

I have also found some interesting Blush left behinds in the long grass from the teenage party! dd1 is to clear tomorrow, apparently!

Did a whole weekend of oldies this weekend - PIL's for last night and also going to bed my dad down after his recent hols... delivered bags of ready meals and other bits, so he is set up for the next few days.

Bought specifically for relaxing in after operation. Liked the colours :)

Beachy - sounds intriguing!

Dp re new bathroom - is £500 too much for a tap? Err, what do you think!! he has sent me a link to the bath (just the bath, nothing else, bearing in mind we need loo, sink, shower, tiling and everything) and whilst it is lovely if this is the cost of things we will all need to move into the bathroom and rent out the rest of the house to pay for it!!

Cremolafoam · 01/07/2013 14:53

[grin]@bd
I bet the bathroom will be amazing although yes 500 notes for a tap does seem , er excessive.
I hope you get a pair at the very least at that priceGrin

Likey, Cremo - funky!

£500 for a tap!

Report

But I bet it's a lovely tap! My adage about home improvements is to spend money on the things you touch, like taps, worktops, etc. El cheapo bath and bog. Or, indeed, bog standard. Arf.

Hello there MaybeBentley. Nice to see another crepey. Do you too have to put on your reading glasses to pluck your nipple hair?

Back on the 5:2 today, after consuming vast quantities of food over the weekend, mainly at fetes. Had our first Pimms of the year at the delightful Vestry House Museum garden party, where we also won on the tombola... a bottle of wine, three bottles of flavoured oil, a bottle of soy sauce, three penguins, two snickers, a bag of toffees, and a sherbet fountain.

S&B news - just bought very acceptable 34E Shock bra from BHS for a mere £14. I think BHS might be the new Primark, in a "I know! BHS!" kind of way.

BD, a tap can surely be purchased from Wickes'...or is that just me? A number of Crepeys will vouch for the fact the Inferiority Complex lives up (or down) to its name.

It is however stocked with lovely handwash costing 99p from Aldi, which is a direct copy of Molton Brown.

motherinferior · 01/07/2013 15:45

And, as ever, I am totally wrong: Wickes has this...!!!

Herbs, re nipple hairGrin

I don't think I can do the 5:2 (and def not this week!) - I managed to not eat breakfast, but then stuffed a banana and then lunch... and we should be taking DD out for dinner as DS is away...

I have no idea what we spent on our bathroom taps. But as DH is the complete opposite of MrBD, I can't imagine it broke the bank!

CointreauVersial · 01/07/2013 17:18

MrCV doesn't get involved in tap-choosing decisions - he waits for me to present him with a choice of one, which he then rubber-stamps. But I have cheap inexpensive tastes and an eye for a bargain. Grin

Work on the guttering is proceeding apace; three-quarters done already, and it looks luffly. Of course, it only serves to highlight the shabbiness of the windows, the front door, the cladding....Angry

Hi Crepeys. Welcome MB!
Not much to report here... Bracing myself for the end of term on Friday (Friday!).
On an s and b note bought some rather wild trousers from Boden, on some special deal which made them less outrageously priced. put your sunglasses on.... They are rather lovely (or else I have completely lost the plot... not quite sure which).
Have to drag my weary carcass off the sofa to cook some supper now when I actually want to have a quick nap. Feeling v crepey.

Ooh, a bistro crop. I'm quite overcome by the very name.

DD2 is trying to make choux buns in preparation for the school baking competition, which means the kitchen is full of, well, DD2. (DD2 is small but has impact iykwim.) DD1 sensibly suggested a stir-fry for supper, which will work perfectly with the rather random collection of ingredients I was already assembling.

What is a bistro crop? Is there a brasserie one as well? Grin

I asked two colleagues (both who have children) their views on my disastrous phone interview the other week, when one of the women interviewing me had her screaming child in the room (screaming directly into the speaker phone) and one said it was utterly unprofessional, and the other said "oh these things happen." I said "Not in my house they don't, and shouldn't do, under any circumstances." I didn't receive an apology either - the woman simply said "oh she's tired."

I have emailed to complain and said that a sincere apology would have been nice - there was nothing about it in the feedback I got, which was all gloom and doom over how crap I was. Not even a shit sandwich approach.

Can I point out (£500 taps aside) Mr BD most assuredly does not expensive tastes.... What he does have is a strong sense of what he wants it to look like and therein lies the problem Grin
And I bet my house could any of yours a run for the money in the shabby (forget chic) stakes :)

Good evening ladies!
"Do you too have to put on your reading glasses to pluck your nipple hair?" Grin. No obvious nipple hair yet! But definitely need the reading glasses to shave my legs, read a packet and file my nails. My eyes seem to be deteriorating so rapidly. I stood on the scales this morning and I've put on 3lb! Must get back to 5:2. Not tomorrow though, working late. How did you find the fast day herbaceous?
I'm amazed at the price of those taps! I want to replace my bathroom, but with those sort of prices I'll be saving a while longer.
"left behinds" beachyhead???? My imagination is running riot!
LOVE the trousers QueenQueenie. Such an amazing colour. Are they wool?

Yes, sadly, it was that bad. The only nice thing they had to say about me was that I seemed enthusiastic about the job. Sad
