Ruby - I'm so jealous of your Holiday.

We have been emptying the attic for the roofers to come at the end of August. - we have filled up the clothing bank with the amount of boys clothes I'd loaded up there. I now have a car load of clothes just in case I drive by an unfilled bank. I also found "What to Expect when you're expecting" - why I thought I'd keep that I don't know.

The weather has gone nice and cool so feeling much happier. I'm off to look at "The Revenants" thread now to see if anybody can shed any light.

Had a successful day out with DD - went shopping and didn't buy much, but had a few chats and a lot of laughs It's hard readjusting when they seem to be growing up so quickly.

MI - I have a little armband thingy that fits my mobile phone and velcros around my upper arm. Surprisingly comfortable, and cost about 12p on eBay.

Well, the scan was a doddle, to be honest. It's the first time I've had an internal one, but it was in the very room where I had my 12/20 week scans for the monkeys, and right next door to the maternity ward. Aah, memories.... Anyway, the radiographer was very relaxing and chatty, and found nothing untoward, no fibroids or cysts, but she did comment that it was tricky to even see my ovaries because they were "so small now." I said I thought that "shrivelled ovaries" was a figure of speech, but no, apparently my poor little chaps are now the size of raisins, having exhausted themselves throwing out eggs for the last 30-odd years. Another sign that I am officially "past it".

I didn't know they shrivelled up But good news that there doesn't seem to be anything untoward.

Good grief, I never knew they shrank.

I'm honestly fine about the job. It wasn't the right one for me and I'd have had to stop posting on MN

On train down to London to drop off ds for a couple of days with nan (bypass looks like mid August) Barca was fab, but bloody hot and expensive! Need a good nights sleep!

Crem - DD reckons Serge was left until Toni comes back - then they'll join the rest. As for everything else - clueless. Had to do the decent thing and see World War Z with DH -(well he did come to Gatsby) but I will say it was easy to follow . DD v cross as afterwards I suggested she might like to study disease transmission and immunology so that she was useful after world wide zombie apocalypse. I said lawyers were non essential personnel and would be left for the zombies. DD reckons she comes from a family of lunatics.

I am now glum because the organisation I applied to as a jobshare says we can't do it as a jobshare....and if I do get an interview as a full-timer, it'll be on the phone while I'm on holiday. PANTS.

In S&B news, though, I did continue my scavenging in charity shops today with a nice East silk tea-dress which will look terrific once it's shortened to knee-length.

I have been given yet another new initiative to work on before I leave. The people I need to discuss it with are on leave until the last week in August. Apparently this is no excuse.
