Oooh, a lovely friend's daughter is on same theme park day, BTM Grin.

bigTillyMint · 19/07/2013 11:06

Same school, MI?

motherinferior · 19/07/2013 11:13

Yep. Gorgeous girl. Her mum just did my eyebrows

bigTillyMint · 19/07/2013 11:17

Ooooh, am now intrigued! Have PMed you!

herbaceous · 19/07/2013 11:39

I've got a man coming round shortly to spray our house for fleas. The place is jumping with the little buggers. And the cat has taken to living entirely outside in this weather, leaving us to deal with his gift.

Got 'the girls' round this evening, and may have to stay entirely in the garden in case any of them get bitten and think we're utter scummers.

bigTillyMint · 19/07/2013 11:42

FleasShock I was thinking moths, which are a massive problem round these parts. Do they bite?

Girls night sounds lovely, particularly in the garden - may be able to do that once ours is sorted.... next yearSad

Blackduck · 19/07/2013 11:44

Roasting at work! I recall the sweaty thigh thing when we were in Japan (humidity was killing) and going commado most definately didn't help!

Ds has a day with his new teacher today so will be interested to hear what he has to say, and then still has another three days to go - he is on his knees......

bigTillyMint · 19/07/2013 11:46

BD, fingers crossed his new teacher is as good as the last. DD was a bit sad last night as her lovely Senior teacher is leaving for promotion. Hope whoever takes over is as good at the pastoral stuff.

Oh we've got moths too. Hopefully the noxious anti-flea fumes will kill those off while he's at it.

And yes - the fleas bite.

Stropperella · 19/07/2013 12:12

Dd's last day today. They had a non-uniform day. I shudder to think how little most of them are probably wearing. Ds doesn't finish until next Tues.

Today I am mainly hedge-cutting. Boo.

Cremolafoam · 19/07/2013 12:33

aargh have been dreading a flea infestation!
have been force feeding the moggies Capstar tablets evry few months and that has held back the tide. (seems to work well BTW)

righ this chafing business: have been recommended buttsheild by a keen cyclist friend. Apparently you need silicone for it it to stay put ( I am relaibly informed)
Yo cant argue with ButtShield Grin

bigTillyMint · 19/07/2013 12:52

ruby, are you in California?

Grin at buttshield!

CointreauVersial · 19/07/2013 12:58

Fleas! Nightmare.

Rehome the bastard.

Luckily, DS's arm was not broken (thank heavens - that would have been a major downer for the summer hols).

"Chub rub", and solutions to it, seems to be all over MN at the moment. I am lucky it's not something I've ever had, but DH suffers sometimes if it's very hot. He doesn't like trunky-type undies, so relies on clouds of baby powder around his nethers. Attractive (not).

wey hey Rubes - enjoy :)

I am not even thinking about buttshield!

I appear to have agreed to be the secretary to the local festival committe Hmm

herbaceous · 19/07/2013 13:22

I'm gonna get me some buttshield. Though even I am tiring of the many and multiple chafing threads, not to mention bra interventions.

Flea spray man has been. I have to keep the cat outside until it all dries, as apparently, ironically, it's lethal to cats. Having the back door open would help it dry, but of course would let the cat in.

It's worth doing though - apparently we shouldn't hoover or mop for 10 days! Result!

HOWDY RUBY! Are you melting?

Bikini news!

As suspected, the 'big pants' looked less Marilyn Monroe and more toddler training pants. However, the hipster ones look really rather nice! Well, as nice as anything's going to look. And the 34E bikini top makes me look a little '50s pin-up'. I'm going for the purply colour, rather than pink. I'm not really a pink type.

motherinferior · 19/07/2013 14:48

You could post a pic Grin?

herbaceous · 19/07/2013 14:56

What? Me in said item? Is the world ready?

bigTillyMint · 19/07/2013 15:07

ruby, that sounds fab. I soooo want to do your trip. ,

Herbs, I have a 50's style blue polka-dot bikini - Debs I think, reduced of course!

herbaceous · 19/07/2013 15:18

Pictures on profile, for a limited time only!

bigTillyMint · 19/07/2013 15:22

Oooh, very Marilyn. I don't look nearly so well-endowed in mine!
