Agreed, MrsSGrin

I missed the spamSad

Free course sounds good MIWink

In S&B news, I have had my teeth sorted - whitened and new fillings at the front - feel 10yrs younger even though DH couldn't see what I'd had doneAngry

Stropperella · 18/07/2013 18:54

Meh, I want free courses for my dcs. One of them will spend nearly half the hols swanning around France with another family whilst spending my euros and the other will sit huffily at home, mainly bemoaning his lot in life as a very much younger brother. Although he is going on a Camp Wild residential for a few days with a friend and then a PGL thing with Cubs. These are Not Free.

Stropperella · 18/07/2013 18:55

Dammit, MrsS. They are a bunch of twits.

QueenQueenie · 18/07/2013 19:02

Bloody hell Mrs S, they are clearly fools of the first order and don't deserve you fuckwits. Feel extremely sweary today. I blame the weather.

bigTillyMint · 18/07/2013 19:06

Oh MrsS, Xpost. So sorry to hear that. TerribleSad

MrsSchadenfreude · 18/07/2013 19:06

My period has also burst onto the scene, all singing, all dancing, after an absence of a couple of months.

I am crying a lot and drinking wine. I rarely cry, but this job, and in particular AB and nice but ineffectual HH, have driven me to it, and tears of rage and shoutiness more in the past year than in the past 20.

bigTillyMint · 18/07/2013 19:08

MrsS, YOU NEED TO TAKE TIME OFF FOR STRESS. Your health is more important than any job.

QueenQueenie · 18/07/2013 19:11

Agree with BTM. I think trying to job hunt at the same time as putting up with all the nonsense of your present job is too tall an order, for anyone.

MrsSchadenfreude · 18/07/2013 19:15

Not to mention the move back to UK...

I think I will go to see the doctor. I am throwing up and riddled with eczema again. Sad

Stropperella · 18/07/2013 19:20

MrsS, I second BTM. Take time off and cut yourself a whole load of slack.

Stropperella · 18/07/2013 19:24

QQ, you are Queen of the Big Pants. Grin

I am a bit melty and have been loafing in my home office in next to nothing all day. If I had to attend meetings in a city and wear proper clothes, I would be proper whiffy by now. I probably need botox in my armpits or something.

bigTillyMint · 18/07/2013 19:28

Go to the doctor and get signed off. Crepey orders!

Stropps, people who work in the city have air-conEnvy

motherinferior · 18/07/2013 20:19

Yep. Go. This is all too much.

Cremolafoam · 18/07/2013 21:26

Oh mrs s what a bollox day. So sorry about the job. Wankers.
So sorry too about the skin. Is it the heat.? I know I get flare ups when I'm sun roasted ( and hormonal) and stressed.Sad

A bit of time off sounds not only a good idea but a necessity.

Sad

QQ it was those big knickers that attracted the spammer I betShock

herbaceous · 18/07/2013 22:20

When I had a proper job a few years ago, I worked in a south-facing, metal-clad loft extension. The thermostat in the lobby said 35deg, and you were then hit by a wall of heat upon entering my miniscule office. Must have been 45deg. Hideous. Then a tube journey home.

Mrs S. Enough is enough. You are not a superhero.

herbaceous · 18/07/2013 22:21

Oh and QQ - I fancy a pair of those superknicks. I have some Evans comfort shorts, but they come up to my armpits.

Cremolafoam · 18/07/2013 22:29

But they look so hot herbs

Thinks about going commandoWink

Honestly I think in a closet nudist.Blush

Stropperella · 18/07/2013 22:32

Autocorrect strikes again. Or does it?... Grin

QueenQueenie · 18/07/2013 22:58

Herbs, they are truly the business.

CointreauVersial · 18/07/2013 23:04

MrsS Sad please look after yourself.

Eczema is a well-known stress indicator; your body is telling you something.

I'm waiting for news from DH who has taken DS to A&E after a heavy collision with a goalpost earlier on. DS does like to milk an injury, but his arm was swelling up. I'm praying he won't end up in plaster, as that will seriously curtail his surfing in Cornwall.

I'm watching "24 Hours in A&E" in sympathy.

Cremolafoam · 18/07/2013 23:19

Snort
Bloody hormones.

Blackduck · 19/07/2013 05:39

MrsS I third (fourth? Fifth?) taking time off. You have had a Hdeous time of late and you need to cut yourself a massive piece of slack.

Fab end of year show here - absolutely amazing.

One of advantage of being on a hill is at least it gets cool in the evening!

herbaceous · 19/07/2013 08:25

Crem - it's the chafing. Nude chubby thighs + sweat = rubbed raw. There are various topically applied solutions, but they tend to come off in the sweat. So for all day comfort, nothing beats a big pant!

motherinferior · 19/07/2013 10:07

Even Sudocrem?

I happen to know that commando is much cooler Wink

herbaceous · 19/07/2013 10:42

Roll-on deodorant is good: stops the sweat and thus the chafing, but doesn't last an all-day trip, and might need reapplying, and consequent standing about like a cowboy while it dries, which isn't always convenient in Westfield, or wherever.

Lanacane anti-chafing gel OK, but does wear off, reapplying, etc.

Haven't tried Sudocreme, but wouldn't it get onto clothes, etc?
