For lots of nice stuff, links and so on.

Beat me to it. Nice one! This one should be sub headed - following fashion with gay abandon!

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 20:10

I know I went for the minimalist route! Nearly dropped the MN for a sleek Vogue vol.4. Might be too much? Grin

Novice which Balenciaga?

Dona look vol. 4, you are always welcome, would be great to have you back.

Shop did you get your lovely new scarf from FC or Tkmaxx?

I need one :o

AmberNectarine · 29/01/2013 20:18

Still saves the hassle of thinking up rhyming thread titles like we did with W&A...

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 20:19

Agree, minimal it is.

sansucre · 29/01/2013 20:21

I always loved the W&A thread titles. However, I feel Anna Wintour (although not Alexandra Shulman) would appreciate the starkness of this thread title.

AmberNectarine · 29/01/2013 20:22

I often wonder how AS got that gig.

sansucre · 29/01/2013 20:23

Don't we all!

Mominatrix · 29/01/2013 20:23

Marking my place. I still am trying to think of things I want/need for this season (besides THE dress). I am trying to be good because I have my name down for a new bag too. Technically I am banned from purchasing anything for the next couple months, but I can ogle from the sidelines.

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 20:24

Hey Sansucre!

So while we're on the topic, would you drop the MN?

I imagine them like Vogue magazines stacked neatly, with the white spine.

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 20:24

Hey Mominatrix, woohoo.

Anni 'twas from TK Maxx in sunny London Colney. Last one on the shelf.....

Annianni · 29/01/2013 20:29

Thanks Shop, I didn't look at scarves, might nip back tomorrow.

libertychick · 29/01/2013 20:40

Yay - a new thread! God those bags, I was never into bags at all until I discovered MN and now I am desperately feeling like I need something decadent for my shoulder/arm...

Shop I have done well in TKMaxx but I visit a branch almost every week to check it out as stock moves fast. I regularly visit branches in Uxbridge, Harrow, Hammersmith and Wembley Central - which are all locations I pass through with work commitments. Wembley Central branch is my favourite - (if you don't know the area it's awful - the joys of public sector work, offices in horrible locations) but it's by far the tidiest, brightest best laid out TKMaxx ever. I have been searching for jeans for two months and yesterday's success with the 7FAM's was at the Harrow branch and it was probably the least numbers of pairs of jeans I had seen there and they were the only pair of 7's there.

sansucre · 29/01/2013 20:42

Marsha! I imagine that if the Mumsnet tag was to be dropped, you, we, the thread could be accused of being elitest Hmm
However, I don't mind that at all, especially as it will almost be a pre-warning that this thread includes all the lovely fashion terminology that (some) others seems to find so disdainful. We can talk about pops of colour, a red lip, strong brows, Bretons and the perfect kind of trouser (or shoe) to our hearts content. Plus, I quite agree, it will look far nicer for future filing purposes.

I really need to try to stop by this thread more. I was trying to figure out

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 20:45

Sansucre Grin I do love a strong brow. Did you get the Sessun peacoat in the end? I didn't, not even in the sale.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 29/01/2013 20:48

That's the issue, I don't have the patience for TK Maxx shopping, and I couldn't understand why they had to search the clothes I was trying on before and after I went into the changing room.
They told me they get deliveries at 5pm everyday so you need to go in then for the best deals. Not going to happen for me. I'll stick to the Outnet I think.

shopafrolic · 29/01/2013 20:50

Sansucre laughing as I hang some more 'pieces' in my wardrobe

sansucre · 29/01/2013 20:50

I did. Then promptly took it back as I decided to buy the Max & Co coat instead. And I'm glad I did because a) it's the best coat ever and b) I spotted the Sessun peacoat in the peacock blue in an advert for DFS or some other furniture store!

And I do love a strong brow too. Btw, I've just painted my nails for a nice pop of colour against the grey I'm planning to wear tomorrow Grin

sansucre · 29/01/2013 20:51

Piece!! Thank you Shop, I knew there was something I'd missed out!

libertychick · 29/01/2013 20:52

Marsha all your links to your lovely winter white Acne sweater and the number of times you mentioned wearing it had me yearning for one so today I ordered this Ivory Des Petits Hauts. Intend to wear it almost exactly as modeled there and also to wear with this H&M print skirt which I bought just before Christmas.

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 20:53

lol Sansucre. And DFS! I'm glad I didn't too.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 20:55

Ah that's gorgeous Liberty. Love that H&M skirt too.

OP posts:
libertychick · 29/01/2013 20:56

Oh the searches at TKMaxx are just ridiculous - it must be a new policy as it was quite pointed yesterday.

People will be foaming at the mouth sansucre Grin

libertychick · 29/01/2013 20:59

The H&M skirt is amazing - really heavy jersey. It's the sort of shape I usually avoid but it actually holds my saddlebags in and makes me look rather bootylicious!
