I love polishes, I'm not a fan of make up, but nailpolish is the equivilant of shoes, or jewellery. It finishes an outfit.

Today I am wearing Essie school of hard rocks, an ace dark teal. With a barry m yellow topaz glitter topcoat. The topcoat looks like models own, but is half the price, from superdrug, buy 2 get a web or croc effect free. And the essie came from cheapsmells.com

Dh and ds are buying me a special vanity case for all my polishes for xmas. As well as an urban decay set.

Ooh Issima that Milan is lovely, agree with that blog that it'd be what Barbie would wear.

Ooh Meta - I love Sensationail! Used to have to make gel polish a treat at the salon now I do it all the time.
Currently have Taupe Tulips on fingers and on toes have 1 coat of Scarlet Red topped with 1 coat of Raspberry Wine.
Am very happy you can now buy it direct too as they have new colours coming soon Grin

Update: Rimmel Celebrity Bash for the weekend Grin

If they did one called Pooey Nappies or Go The Fuck To Sleep it would be more appropriate for my weekend plans

Had a manicure yesterday evening and am sporting a very pretty red from OPI - Deer Valley Spice

Weird name, beautiful colour.

Plus I got a free Nails Inc nail polish with Glamour magazine (DM bought me a subscription for Christmas, bless her). St James

I am wearing my first ever "effects" polish (yes, I am late to this particular party). It is the Barry M croc effect over a gold base. I love it.

Ooh, what colour croc?

Today I am rocking the chic and understated look. Essie Brooch The Subject, a gorgeous nude. Only £3.25 from cheapsmells.

Huge offer on China Glaze nail polishes on the Sallyexpress site - polishes £1.28 and 3 for 2. This may be a glitch & get cancelled but I've ordered 15 a few anyway. Thread on MSE: forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=4255575

MissFoodie - thank you! I followed your advice to wipe nails with polish remover before painting, according to this thread I did my Pompous on Friday morning and apart from a bit of wear on the tips, which I can retouch, they are still entirely intact. I used to get 48 hours max without chipping. I can't believe I didn't think of it before.

It probably also explains why I find buffing makes the polish come off even more easily, it will be because I have been painting onto a layer of dust, doh!

I have done a dripping blood mani for halloween. Opi seraphine base (greyish green) and red tips with splodges (essie size matters) I love it.

Dec glamour magazine has a free nails inc nail polish.

None on my right hand, and then a different colour on each nail of my left... I indulged in testing at the Chanel counter today. I love chanel nail varnish, but only have one. I just love the way it feels so rock solid yet a thin coat once it's dry. I've got a lovely subtle pink, then a gold, then a nude, then the famous beige colour and then a dark grey called vertigo. I want them all! Trying to decide which to add to my Christmas list!

I love essie, not tried chanel, though I've given dh the name of a dior two piece that I need want.

Today I am wearing my glamour/nails inc freebie, motcomb sreet with models own copperpot "flames" and a red dot by the cuticle. So it looks like a fire/night sky. I actually really like it.
