I love polishes, I'm not a fan of make up, but nailpolish is the equivilant of shoes, or jewellery. It finishes an outfit.

Today I am wearing Essie school of hard rocks, an ace dark teal. With a barry m yellow topaz glitter topcoat. The topcoat looks like models own, but is half the price, from superdrug, buy 2 get a web or croc effect free. And the essie came from cheapsmells.com

Would be surprised if it isn't - I buy from power sellers - they don't want negative feedback. I get most of mine from ebay.

3mily · 20/10/2012 14:39

Dior - Red Royalty. My favourite red :)

Karbea · 20/10/2012 14:56

Ive very chipped OPI Lincoln Park After Dark on. Must redo them!!!
I love Seche Vite couldnt live without it, I use Nail Magic too, both with horrible chemicals :( but they both work :S

hugandroll · 20/10/2012 21:21

Thank you the lady who suggested I use nail varnish remover just before applying my first coat, my nail varnish has lasted 24 hrs so far which is unheard of. Wearing a very dark navy by Rimmel but will be upgrading the brands I buy from now on to opi and Leighton Denny.

MissFoodie · 21/10/2012 00:38

that was me :)
good luck!

Beaverfeaver · 21/10/2012 02:30

I love Nails Inc and just got two of their mirror metallic range in purple and blue. Look really striking. It has a sort of 'Flip Paint' effect

ravenAK · 21/10/2012 02:38

Illamasqua. In Glitterati.

www.illamasqua.com/shop/products/nails/nail-duo-viridian-glitterati

Normally I'm the queen of cheap nails (Barry M is splashing out for me), but I like to change them quite often so not a problem. But massively converted to the Illamasqua - absolutely gorgeous & lasts a week.

MaureenCognito · 21/10/2012 07:42

Today OPI quarter of a cent cherry.
I have them done every week. £5

LulaPalooza · 21/10/2012 13:47

Today I am wearing a basic black (Maybelline) with Essie A Cut Above on top.

It is making me very, very happy.

Loving that Illamasqua, raven and that OPI red Maureen. Both veh pretty.

BlameItOnTheCuervForHumanBlood · 21/10/2012 14:02

Sparkly khaki, no7 with barry m orange web effect on top, it looks great.

I love bright red but it doesn't look right on me, I look better with nudes or "kooky" colours.

I have just painted my nails in Tomorrow Never Dies and it is beautiful. Really really lovely and vibrant. Am using OPI topcoat instead of Seche Vite - had forgotten how much I rely on the quick drying skills of Seche Vite though! Have had to redo one nail.

hugandroll · 21/10/2012 21:18

missfoodie my nails are still going. Your advice was spot on and I am now free to purchase all the colours I want as they will no longer be ruined after a day Grin.

BeauNeidel · 22/10/2012 00:04

I've got Essie Lights on my fingers and Action on my toes. The colours are lovely (neon, but not too neon) but the formula could be better. A bit gloopy and they bubbled on my nails.

I utterly love the Skyfall collection and also those Illamasqua ones are beautiful. The last ones I got from there were disappointing but those are just gorgeous.

50shadesofmeh · 22/10/2012 08:19

I have china glaze for Audrey on both fingers and toes at the moment

MissFoodie · 22/10/2012 10:00

aaaah well done, good to hear!!!!!

BlameItOnTheCuervForHumanBlood · 23/10/2012 17:49

Oooooooooooooooo cheapsmells has essie from £3,25!

Elegant, by Revlon.
It's a lovely beige-nude

Hopefully · 23/10/2012 18:27

Have to say, Tomorrow Never Dies has been lasting incredibly well - third day today and just starting to chip. Wonder if t's the nail varnish or the OPI topcoat instead of Seche Vite...

Hopefully · 23/10/2012 18:28

(FWIW I am incredibly bad at looking after a manicure - 24 hours chip free is pretty good for me).

ScooseIsLooseInTheHauntedHoose · 23/10/2012 18:31

Painting mine opi a grape fit once dd is in bed Grin

HoopDePoop · 23/10/2012 20:29

Halfway through painting mine with
Essie Beach Bum Blu - hoping it doesn't feel too summery.

Just love the turqoisey shimmery colour - DH says it's how he imagines the Little Mermaid's nails to look Grin
