I love polishes, I'm not a fan of make up, but nailpolish is the equivilant of shoes, or jewellery. It finishes an outfit.

Today I am wearing Essie school of hard rocks, an ace dark teal. With a barry m yellow topaz glitter topcoat. The topcoat looks like models own, but is half the price, from superdrug, buy 2 get a web or croc effect free. And the essie came from cheapsmells.com

Ooh, beach bum blue looks lovely Smile

Have just re-done mine in OPI live and let die again, really dark without being too gothy I hope. I love it.

Essie 'Master Plan' - lovely it is, with Seche Vite topcoat.

Since Boots have started doing Essie I can't walk past without going in to buy one.

Prior to this, I used to buy Essie in US - much cheaper.

No7 - Thunderstorm on fingernails - a dark bluey/purple, with No7 Topcoat. No7 Beany on toenails which is a Minky colour. I get a bit carried away with those £5 No7 vouchers! :)

Oooh those sky fall ones are lovely! Can't afford a tenner though (payday next week, bah)

Might be able to stretch if it goes down.

I'm currently wearing Barry M gold foil effects. Horrifically chipped though, as I've had it on since Saturday.

That essie chinchilly is beautiful too. I might have to purchase it soon.

Issima that looks like a great shade for you, Summer lady.

I quite fancy an orangey red, but have my mother visiting so no chance of buying any naice nail varnish tomorrow (she will clasp hands in horror at the price). Have discovered that painted nails is a great way to start conversations at toddler group (we have just moved house) so need to have a good colour by Friday! I have a bright coral Jessica one kicking around, maybe that...

Have you seen Essie Geranium ? It is the perfect (IMO) orangey red.

:)

Two coats needed at least, hugandroll. And a top-coat. Then it lasts on my nails for about a week.

Awesome, will do it after kettlebells tonight I love painting my nails and hope it lasts :)

Me too - highly meditative (unless I have to go to the loo between coats, which ends up in a slanging match with my zip-fly!).

Another thing I learned which has been really useful in that respect. I'm sure it's common knowledge: submerge your hands in ice-cold water for 20 seconds and it will harden the polish instantly.

Happy painting, hugandroll! :)
