Glad you got a bit of me time in today MiM. I really like the Ambush boots - how are you planning to wear them (I have form for copying your shoe choices - why stop now?!)?

Yes, where are you Carciofi?

Thanks for wallpapering tips Fritzi - am going to wait to hear how you get on before following suit.

Hope you're feeling better NY and this morning's headache didn't go on to a,pint to anything more.

How you doing Blue?

Fregley · 08/02/2012 20:21

i have ambush.
i have removed inner flappy zip thing to de cowboy them
have them half unzipped and jeans flopped into them as if jsut got up.
coleague insisted on zipping me UP in them and i looked like Twiggy.

notyummy · 08/02/2012 20:45

Thanks for the new thread Red. Hmm- that rhymes!

Feeling better thanks. Just absolutely knackered. Have day from hell work wise tomorrow so will better when that is out of the way.

Loving your boots MIM.

Russianred · 08/02/2012 20:53

Hope that it passes quickly and doesn't leave you wiped out NY.

Thanks Fregley - have just had a look at online images for an idea and had a good giggle at all of the bloggers posing. That sounds mean, but some of them are quite funny.

I disappear for the day and we fill a thread! Thanks for starting the new one Red.

Have realised that possibly weight loss over this week has stopped because of the time of the month - I always seem to get a little bit of water retention in the midst of my PMT. My waist is smaller than when I measured it 10 days ago, pleasingly. And my beloved TS Agnes-alikes are getting too big! I am contemplating re-purchasing them in a smaller size as I think I'll get a lot of use out of them next winter. I love them! Although, of course, I may love them less now that I can properly fit in to the actual Agnes. Hmmm. I honestly can't believe how much difference a month of halfway sensible eating and Shredding has made - I have gone from a 30" (possibly 31") waist down to a 28.5" waist, and I look so much more toned than I did. Onwards and downwards to a 28" waist I go!

Blue I hope you're busily producing a baby Smile

Ooh, have just realised how soon MU is! It seemed ages away when we were still in January.

MidnightinMoscow · 08/02/2012 20:54

Red, I am going to wear with blue or other coloured skinnies either tucked in or out.

They could work well with your new Breton dress too.

I like the two sided zip Fregley, but maybe I'm a bit 'ride 'em cowboy' Smile, although I think pairing them with a stetson and chaps might be overkill. Wink

Oh dear NY, although sometimes it's better to know your going to have a crap day and brace yourself for the onslaught.

Right - off to eat dinner...iron filled steak, chips and watercress.

Hopefully · 08/02/2012 21:10

lol at all the bloggers in their ambush boots - is it the law of style blogging that you must stand pigeon toed at all times? I'm off to a good start if I ever want to take it up Grin

I really want this IO dress. I think it would be good with my ankle boots. Will await a decent discount at some point though.

Fregley · 08/02/2012 21:11

i did same russian
fecking freak a zeak. but yes - dont zip to top. once you have them you wont know how you managed without

IceCreamCastles · 08/02/2012 21:12

Good work hopefully!

You sound so much brighter MiM- is that what going back to blonde does for you? I think I'm going to take the plunge in half term and do the same-not least because I have discovered a crop of grey hairs Shock

Ollie- dress arrived safely thank you- obv no point trying it on at the moment but it looks good Smile

My last day of work today and dd's last day at nursery-her 'teachers' cried when she left!

Have finally started to pack bags for hospital- struggling to decide why size clothes to pack for the baby. Last time dd came home looking like a bundle of washing because we didn't have anything small enough- in fact she wore the cardigan I packed for her on her first birthday!

Fregley · 08/02/2012 21:14

i have those and the black suede clarks mary portas " la rose" or some gubbins.
they are def smarter and good for work - either with shorter skirts of under tailored trews. ( yep gap "modern boot" you are my workaday mate)

h picks them both up. " WHY have you two the same?"
oh he has to learn. " one is smart and one is cas you FULE"

Fregley · 08/02/2012 21:17

LOOK At these beauts too though

Russianred · 08/02/2012 21:32

Ooh they're nice, couldn't walk on them of course, but lovely.

Landmark day there Icey! Is DD changing nursery or off whilst you're on Maternity? Poor DD was in a hat that still doesn't fit her now when she was delivered. I ended up getting some tiny baby sleep suits for her and she wore them for a good couple of months (was 6llbs 3oz at birth). DS was a big guy and even he was in them for sometime. I'm coming over a little broody thinking about them. How are you feeling?

OP posts:
MrsCampbellBlack · 08/02/2012 21:37

Must say I live in my KG sweeps - I have them in black Ollie.

Also am rotating 2 cashmere jumpers at the moment as its just soooo cold.

I ordered the blue bonnets last week from revolve so hoping they arrive soon - not that I'll be wearing them for a while.

Zara got some nice jackets/coats in at the moment.

Having much fun planning/costing house renovations - Dauphin - did you get costs/look at the neptune kitchen? Red - what make was your kitchen? Have decided am going to lose the Aga and get the Aga S Series Six Four instead as want a proper cooker. Much as I love my aga it really is just a very very expensive heater.

IceCreamCastles · 08/02/2012 21:56

Definitely feeling the need for some sweeps or ambush- what colour have you got MiM and fregley?

Red-she's going to do a few morning sessions at local playgroup instead now I'm on maternity leave. I'm feeling fine thanks-ranitadine has been miracle heartburn cure so am much happier!

Your cooking in new kitchen has put me to shame- haven't done anything exciting yet. In my defence we still have decorator in so still not quite finished.

Russianred · 08/02/2012 21:58

We nearly went for Neptune actually - one of the Step-Dads is a partner in the company and offered a generous discount, but went for IKEA's finest. (mainly for the interest-free deal to free up cash for bathroom, flooring etc) Our fitters were amazing and did some brilliant carpentry which has made it feel more bespoke. We're thrilled with it.

I feel I may succumb to these Blue Bonnets eventually. Have yours arrived Pickled?

Very little left on my SS wish list - a pair of wedges and a bright cross-body bad for daytime use.

OP posts:
MidnightinMoscow · 08/02/2012 21:58

I have the tan Icey as I already have black bikers and grey Jalouse.

MarshaBrady · 08/02/2012 22:01

Well done on new thread.

I have put SS buying on hold while the cold lasts. I can't think of anything. At least it has been good to wear Stella M coat a lot.

Icey getting close now, I can't remember the order of due dates but you must all be soon.

Russianred · 08/02/2012 22:03

Icey ours is untiled and concrete floored (need to wait for screed to dry blah blah), downstairs loo and sink yet to be plumbed in. Rest of house is a mess - plasterers start again on Monday working on playroom and hallways. My neighbour got herself locked out today and came in to use the phone to call her husband - she had a nosy and then said 'do you ever feel clean?' Shock. I responded with 'yes, as I wash daily' and she got very embarassed and stuttered about keeping the place tidy and so on. Hilarious.

OP posts:
IceCreamCastles · 08/02/2012 22:13

Oh how funny!
Ours is a tip too- scaffolding up in living room for big wall to be painted and furniture in disarray. Am finding it hard to squeeze past things with my extra frontage Grin
Should be finished by next week though so hoping we have time to sort things.

Marsha- have just over 2 weeks to go in theory. I was thinking earlier that if blue is late, I'm on time and MiM is early we could all give birth within days of each other.

Thanks mim- sounds like you are sorted for ankle boots!
