The refurbished SP Wine Bar is once again open, as while you don't have to drink to be a Step Parent, it helps.

Contact changed at no notice?

Disney Dad and sulky Skids?

Damned if you do and damned if you don't???

Ahhh, thats better!

"You knew what you were getting in to" glug, glug...

BarfTheHeraldAngelsHeave · 20/12/2011 22:53

Won't somebody think of the children. Sobs.

Pulls up a stool

Mind if I join? Can do a shot of 'you will never be her mother, stop trying to be nicer than me' and a pint of 'my mummy says she hates you because you live with daddy'

therantingBOM · 20/12/2011 22:59

Sorry, no time to sob. Far too busy enjoying my charmed life, counting my riches and plotting ways to trick my husband in to handing over even more of his money to me thus plunging his ex wife in to near poverty... Xmas Grin

BarfTheHeraldAngelsHeave · 20/12/2011 23:10

I am glad you're putting your time to good use therantingBOM. I feel some of us just don't try hard enough at depriving them all. despite the fact I put in substantially more to support my family as I married someone who had a child alredy

So you were stranded on a barren island and refused to sacrifice your own children to feed your step children? Shock

Sounds to me as if you don't really want them around. Poor kids Sad

MJinSparklyStockings · 20/12/2011 23:13

Hello my lovely fellow bitches OW cows no - bonus mums - hats the right word.

How are we all - do you like my sparkly stockings - we are fairly broke this year, but dh says as I have been a very very bad good girl, he will finds other ways to spoil me at Christmas so I thought I'd put the stockings to the test.

I hav a rather lover bottle of Hendricks I have been saving for Christmas - anyone care for a tot with schweppes and lime over ice?

OffDownTheGardenToEatWorms · 20/12/2011 23:15

IM handing out badges - rantingBOM - you get one for great poster id, Barf gets one for opening out new bar, I'm having a "I've been stalked on Mumsnet" extra special badge - with 3 gold stars underneath for each time.

Who else gets one?

I'm not a step parent, just a sympathetic face (to let you know there some sane people here :)).

Have seen you get a really rough time here :(

OffDownTheGardenToEatWorms · 20/12/2011 23:51

Yum, tonight has been my first Baileys evening too! really should brush my teeth before bed, - that post Baileys fur is rotten

MJinSparklyStockings · 20/12/2011 23:52

penguin sympathisers welcome - gnt??? Or Chardonnay (not cheap nasty crap have been suffering all day after last night)

Have some virtual cake as well - lovely, tasty and calorie free.

Ateallthepurpleones · 20/12/2011 23:52

"you clearly resent them being around". No actually I don't. She's a really good babysitter and it's hugely helpful while I still have Christmas shopping to get done.

And I no longer have to deal with her mum, no longer have to live with her Dad, and dsd and I get on famously now. She's ace.

MJinSparklyStockings · 20/12/2011 23:55

You can pour sympathy on me - sob, sob, sob.

Ds is resistant to sleep training, but he has been reluctantly going to bed before midnight because Santa is watching.

So tonight he announced - he doesn't mind if Santa is watching because he DOESNT NEED PRESENTS - how am I going to get him to bed now i cry to myself ?

OffDownTheGardenToEatWorms · 20/12/2011 23:59

C'mon top us up, it's a dry old house 'ere innit? since RockStock swanned in and drunk us dry

By the way we have a small bear missing tonight, about 4" tall last seen in my bed this morning- have torn place apart - anyone got any random ideas where the little fella may be hiding?

I have thoroughly checked the wine rack too.

WinterLover · 21/12/2011 07:22

Morning - is it too early for a drink? Already been round tescos and now DS is sleeping Grin

EverybodyKnows · 21/12/2011 08:07

Hi y'all- can't believe I missed the reopening.

See, last night I was feeding my cake with Brandy and Ingwer Liqueur- thought I'd bring some with me but, erm, I drank it all and fell asleep.

wrongagain · 21/12/2011 08:11

Sod it, I'm making a come back WSM's!
But for once... Having no issues! Dsd sat next to me right now, her mother due a baby anyday... I'm just waiting for the fall out from it now, dsd will not take kindly to going from being an only child who's --spoilt by her mother to having a screaming, crying, attention taking baby around!
Stockpiling the wine ready for the fall out!
