My DH is out tonight watching the game, I'm home praying England win tonight.

Decacaffeinatednow · 11/07/2026 23:47

Jesus.
Can you leave your house and go somewhere safe? Or call the police?

ProfessorInkling · 11/07/2026 23:48

BeaPerry · 11/07/2026 23:48

Don’t sit there waiting ….
you got kids ???

Strawberrycheesecake7 · 11/07/2026 23:49

That’s awful. You need to leave him. Nobody should have to put up with this. Is there anywhere you can go before he comes back?

lightningatmidnight · 11/07/2026 23:49

Go somewhere else. Do you have children at home?

whippersnapper55 · 11/07/2026 23:50

Are you home with children or home alone? Can you get out of the house and go to a neighbour, friend or family? Please don't feel embarrassed or ashamed of needing shelter from a violent abuser. Keep your phone with you and call 999 if you're scared 💐

bornwithhorns · 11/07/2026 23:51

Oh my love , is there anyway you can get in touch with women’s aid , or is there anywhere you could stay tonight xxx

ChefsKisser · 11/07/2026 23:51

Leave. Don’t stay and wait regardless of what happens with England. Go to your parents, a friend, the police station anywhere.

Soxy2154 · 11/07/2026 23:53

I do have children & sadly can't up and leave, I don't work at the moment and have no where to go.
My DH is a nasty piece of work and I've had this for years.

Even if England win ..please leave or get help now.

Decacaffeinatednow · 11/07/2026 23:53

Call the police.

sittingonabeach · 11/07/2026 23:55

Police and women’s aid

Sparrowsandbudgies · 11/07/2026 23:56

Please leave now, do you have somewhere safe you can go to, even if it’s a hotel room? Don’t be there when he gets home. Ring 999 and say you aren’t safe.

AGlessandahalf · 11/07/2026 23:56

Please get yourself and the kids out now. This is a tipping point now if you are posting on here

Heretohelp1111 · 11/07/2026 23:57

There is always somewhere to go, even if it is a refuge.

lloydgrossmanbol · 11/07/2026 23:57

Right so go to a police station with black bags full of your stuff.

Get the fuck out now. It doesn't matter if they win or lose you need to get out of the relationship

lloydgrossmanbol · 11/07/2026 23:58

Hey OP -
U OK ???

sittingonabeach · 12/07/2026 10:53

Hope you are okay @Soxy2154

You need to put something in place before the next match at the very least as we have a high chance of losing that one. But you shouldn’t be living in fear football or no football

AnyDayNowChuckJacksonNSoul · 12/07/2026 11:07

Men like him will lift their hand as they'll validate it to themselves as a she deserved it
That's a grim life for the kids hearing mum getting beating and for yourself op.
It will leave it's mark on the kids for decades

I grew up in that environment I heard ,saw, and experienced violence to me as well.

Noshadowsinthedarkness · 12/07/2026 11:12

I hope you’re ok OP.

Please do reach out for help. I know it might feel hopeless but you can get out and there is help available.
