It’s movie night with the dc on Fridays so I just tried to forget about it, and hoped it would sort itself out.

Unfortunately it’s still there unchanged and staring up at me this morning. I think I’m too scared to touch it. Thank you for the generous offers of assistance but not sure how I’d explain a stranger with a go-pro filming my privates to family members!😂

I have read your messages and am a little worried I may need antibiotics now as I do feel a bit under the weather (I did yesterday come to think of it but I just put it down to end of the week tiredness). I might call and see if I need an out of hours appointment.

I googled what to do with a boil and this is the board that kept coming up. None of them seemed to look like mine though so I thought I’d better get some expert opinions. Also after reading the board I’ve realised I may actually be a sporner, but still a huge coward when it comes to myself!

OP have you been doing hot compresses? You need to do this at the very least.

Bartholin Cyst. Agony. Sit in a hot salt bath to ry to draw it out. It may burst of its own accord. Or go to GP, who will most probably refer you to outpatients, where they will pierce it for you. If you do it yourself, do as another poster suggests - in the bath with a needle slid in from the side. Good luck!

I couldn’t find it. Maybe because I’m still half asleep and dying from hayfever. Oh well. Shall try and locate it again later once I have recovered.

Either way OP, I really hope you get it sorted asap. Boils, carbuncles, abscesses, they are bloody painful.

Also see if sexual health place is open instead of GP they prescribed antibiotics for me.

If you don't feel up to popping it and want the doctor to deal with it, I'd at least pour some salt water over it to keep it clean and get some oregano capsules from Holland & Barrett, for the anti bacterial properties, until you can get antibiotics.

Hot flannel held tightly again the bastard. Hot as you can take it.

I've had these in the past, bloody awful. Silica tablets from Holland and Barrett helps keep them at bay and brings the size down quickly.

If you aren't feeling well then definitely see the GP out of hours as you'll need some antibiotics.
