I've just found this little corner of disgusting heaven and it reminded me of this...
About ten years ago my mum was itching her lower stomach and asked if I would have a look to see if there were any spots/rashes. I had a look and there was a black dot that looked just like a blackhead so I started squeezing it for her as she couldn't see it herself. It wasn't coming out so I was fiddling about and it came out a bit, it looked odd so I pulled it. It kept coming and coming and coming... it was a long black thread Confused She looked shocked and said "My last operation there was 20 years ago" ShockShe'd always had a bit of soreness there but didn't think much of it.. It looked as good as new when I pulled it out Grin
It was a very sporny moment. Has anyone else pulled anything unexpected out of anywhere?

Every so often I will develop a sore lump, last one on my elbow, and when prodded a shard of glass comes out.

My Dad was in a car accident in his 20s. Every now and then a tiny glass fragment would surface when he was shaving. I get the same with gravel from an old leg wound (cycling pile-up).

I had local surgery on my foot years ago and had a lot of wound pain. Allegedly dissolving stitches Hmm One day I got fed up and snipped the knot on a stitch & gave it a tug. It was magnificent - a stitch abcess uncorked with a mini spurt of pus. All of the stitches were the same. The shallow wound opened up, but finally started to heal after 2-3 weeks of pain & no progress.

In hindsight, I should have asked for antibiotics but I wasn't as old or wise then as I am now. Grin

I had a tooth chip a few years ago. Turns out it had broken and the root filling fell out. When the dentist pulled it out, it shattered.
It healed fine but a few weeks later I kept feeling a sharp bit on the gum and I'd grab it with tweezers and pull out a sliver of tooth

Properjob · 04/04/2017 23:10

I put my hand into the dishwasher drain mesh bucket thing to clear it and felt a sharp pain...cut my fingertip on broken glass slivers. Over a year later I was in the office and passed my finger in a particular way on the computer...a perfect m long piece of glass sliding out, no blood. Amazing !!!

Properjob · 04/04/2017 23:10

Lol. CM not m!!

mineofuselessinformation · 04/04/2017 23:37

I had a pelvic floor repair. It felt like sitting on a cheese wire for a long while after - it was only when I went back for a checkup that I found out why - some stitches that are described as dissolvable can take to eighteen months to totally dissolve (if then). They resemble fishing line, and are as thick and strong.

Wow this thread is good.

I regularly try to squeeze my old belly button piercing and get a satisfying lump out each time!

I don't get a lump but I do get a bit of 'silly string'. Bloody hell it's good.

Properjob · 05/04/2017 18:59

Sorry Gloss, feeling a bit queasy now...

Ihateandysdinosauradventures · 05/04/2017 20:28

I have found my people!!

Glossolalia · 05/04/2017 21:29

Sorry proper. To me holy grail of sporn is 'silly string' Blush

Mungobungo · 05/04/2017 21:34

Ooh I love this thread!

I've got a tiny piece of glass lodged in my finger tip from breaking a drug ampoules at work. It shattered in my hand about 3 years ago and I can't wait for it to work it's way out. Every now and then it feels painful and I have a pick at it but nothing yet.

When I was about 20, I had a boil on my nose, right up close to my eye. It was vile -enormous and so sore. Saw the gp who said to treat it with warm tea bags which I did. when it finally came into a head it wasn't just one big boil, there was pus coming out of all sorts of places - like lava. I've still got scars on the end of my nostrils where the pus had tracked down before bursting out. Smile

PastysPrincess · 05/04/2017 21:47

Loving this thread.

My husband has a pilonidal cycst. That is a treat that just keeps on giving!

I had an operation to repair my episiotomy scar and had some of those dissolving stitches that don't dissolve. I had been in pain longer than I ought to have been after my recovery. I sat down awkwardly and felt an excruciating pain, felt something snap, and then blessed relief. I had a look and one of the stitches which should have been long gone had snapped but was still in situ...cue a pair of tweezers and some awkward angles. I found a few more stuck in there too!

I half love this thread, half feel really sick!
I also love having a go at an old belly piercing, mostly it's just a little bit of semi solid gunk but a couple of times a year it gets a little swollen and yields proper pus out both holes. Lovely. Pretty much every time I go to the loo at work I look for anything on my body I can pick or squeeze (very good lighting)

Limitededition7inch · 10/04/2017 12:03

My people!

DH had a really stubborn blackhead on his chin. Every night I would pin him down and squeeze it, mag sulph the bastard, etc - but nothing was happening. Until one day I walked into the bathroom and he had just come out of the shower. A combination of steam and the lighting made me see what looked like a hair tip, so I grabbed a needle and the tweezers and dug about.

A tightly coiled hair followed, which when uncoiled was about three inches long. Then, after a gentle squeeze, out came a thick, solid block of chalky pus and then - the grand finale - a spray of pus which flew over my shoulder.

It was fantastic. He still lets me at him from time to time, but nothing tops that. We still talk about it in awe Grin

cjt110 · 12/04/2017 15:00

I had a skin tag frozen on my shoulder. It looked like a donut with a black bit in the middle. After a few days, I could feel the tag itself moving away from it. I tried to pick it off - no joy - so I got a pair of nail clippers and yanked the fucker out. It must have been a root as I ended up with a teeny tiny hole deeper than the rest and a little puff of yellow gunk came out too!

Lofari · 12/04/2017 15:13

Love this thread it is equal parts beautiful and gross!
When preggers with my 1st, 10 years ago I developed a very painful abscess on my bum. Had to go to hospital and have the fucker out under a spinal.
Anyway long story short they didn't get it all. Cue me being 30 odd weeks preggers and staying at my mum's when the thing swelled up and exploded all over her bathroom. It was glorious.
She still gives me grief about the mess and the smell 😂

Comedyusername · 15/04/2017 22:04

I think I've read this about 4 or 5 times now. Still a delight Smile

I still think about the time I squeezed a tiny pink bump on my bikini line and out popped a hard lump of gunk and a tight curl of hair. That was about 2 years ago!

DelinquencyMatters · 15/04/2017 22:15
Envy

My poor poor DS had a boil like a fucking volcano on the back of his leg and I had to just watch it shrivel up and dry out. It would have erupted like Vesuvius.

ohwhatfuckery I think you mean dilated pore of winer not wiener 😂 That did make me laugh! But how you are restraining yourself I will never know. I'd attack the man for a dilated pore of winer - they are my favourite.

sweetkitty · 15/04/2017 22:19

DH allowed me to squeeze a lovely spot right on the top of his head today I even heard it pop!!

NorthernLurker · 15/04/2017 22:35

16 years ago I got a small spot on my right boob. It has left a blocked pore and used to be good for a squeeze. Once it even got an abscess in it. Alas over the last few months it seems to have burnt itself out. No more cheesy white stuff.

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 15/04/2017 22:36

This is the best thread ever.

purpleporpoise DD currently has one of those in her front tooth gum, will possibly work its way out, otherwise will need yanking out if not budged in 6 months. She won't let me near it :(

Palomb · 15/04/2017 22:47

I had a spot on my nose for a few days and squeezed it and a rose thorn came out. God knows how long it had been there.

HLBug · 15/04/2017 22:53

I have preauricular sinus holes above each ear. They get filled up with all sorts of stuff - very very rarely I'm convinced I can even 'hear' soapy bubbles in them from my shampoo. Every few weeks (I have to limit myself) I give them a wee squeeze and the most glorious goo comes out. Sigh. It makes me calm and happy.

SayrraT · 18/04/2017 21:13

My OH once had this amazing thing happen where seemed to have several hairs growing from one follicle on his face. I pulled them out and they came out with a bit of pus on the end.

I also got really excited the other week when a bull I had to PM had a massive abcess in its gut. It was amazing, I've got a picture from when I sectioned it if you want to see it? It's perfect.

throughgrittedteeth · 19/04/2017 08:05

Erm YES WE WANT TO SEE IT.
