I thought it was a blackhead but it was...

I've just found this little corner of disgusting heaven and it reminded me of this...
About ten years ago my mum was itching her lower stomach and asked if I would have a look to see if there were any spots/rashes. I had a look and there was a black dot that looked just like a blackhead so I started squeezing it for her as she couldn't see it herself. It wasn't coming out so I was fiddling about and it came out a bit, it looked odd so I pulled it. It kept coming and coming and coming... it was a long black thread She looked shocked and said "My last operation there was 20 years ago" She'd always had a bit of soreness there but didn't think much of it.. It looked as good as new when I pulled it out
It was a very sporny moment. Has anyone else pulled anything unexpected out of anywhere?

I once found a maggot on the sheet on my husband's side of the bed. Still to this day I do not know how it got there. The only thing I didn't consider was it coming from my husband, but maybe it did!

I've never discussed this with anyone before, not even the husband. I've kept the shame buried within! like a very deep in growing hair

When I was a teenager I used to wear earphones all the time and complained to my Mum I had a sore ear. She had a look and said I had a spot, squeezed at it with a pair of cotton buds. I heard it pop, she had a good look (in total disgust) then refused me a look! I scrabbled about in the bin behind her back and found it - it was a compacted greasy lump of brown wax the size of the cotton bud tip!

Also DS had a verruca which I'd attacked with a pin to disturb it and to try and prize the sides off, then duct taped it. The next day DS has a bath - the verruca had fallen off in the bath...but he only told me after all the water drained out taking the verruca with it. ☹️ Gauging from the hole it left (about pea sized) it would have been a beauty.

My XH had a sore bit on the top of his bum crack. It got agonisingly painful so he visited a nurse who told him it was where the hair gets all sweaty and orrible and can go under the skin. She gave him anti biotics with instructions to return. When I got him home I laid him on the floor, got my hot water and mag. and set to work. It was glorious! Lots of smelly thick yellow gunk and hair. Left a bit of a hole but worth it for me!

The bump (which was the blackead that kept on giving) has returned!!! I had a good squeeze on Saturday but not much gunk came out... maybe it was not ripe yet?

Oh I almost wish we hadn't divorced thinking of that!

Ohhh good for you Kwick! It obviously needs a little longer. I am frustratingly bump free. It is annoying!

When I was 18 I had a little red lump on my knee, I was sitting in sunshine and saw what I thought was a hair poking out.

I started to gently dig and after alot of patience extracted a pale green translucent insect.
What I thought was a hair was one of its legs breaking the surface of my skin.
Still don't really understand!!

OP here with a namechange, I had no idea this thread was still going! I saw it in active and forgot it was mine at first Going to sit down with a cuppa and enjoy all this wonderful grossness. I salute your dedication to the sporn

DH is losing weight & shaves his arm pits, I love it when he lets me clear out the ingrown hairs. Literally thick black solid stuff.

My best was a cyst in my bikini line, nothing worked and it hurt like hell, I went to the toilet, sat down and it popped, it just kept coming and coming.

I've posted seperately with pics about my toe, it started hurting, I told a nurse who said it's nothing, it kept getting redder. I think a cyst appeared first which has left a hole. Then on the top of my toe I literally picked away a bit of dead skin & it was ooze city. A mix of pus & blood. I'd clip my toe nail & more would shoot down the side. Anti biotics, creams & all sorts haven't shifted it. I used a cocktail stick to clean it, the whole is about 15mm deep. This thing on the bottom of my toe is something else.

Massive lump about 4cm diameter from bottom of toe up. Been there ages but bloody hurts.

I've tried taking away hard skin but it won't pop at all. My other toes actually really hurt too & have for some time but think it's referred pain.

You poor thing @MissEDashwood have you seen a chiropodist?

Ye they proved to be a total waste of money. It's so painful all the time but on IV now & had x-rays etc. It's a growth that could have come from my arthritis.
