I've just found this little corner of disgusting heaven and it reminded me of this...
About ten years ago my mum was itching her lower stomach and asked if I would have a look to see if there were any spots/rashes. I had a look and there was a black dot that looked just like a blackhead so I started squeezing it for her as she couldn't see it herself. It wasn't coming out so I was fiddling about and it came out a bit, it looked odd so I pulled it. It kept coming and coming and coming... it was a long black thread Confused She looked shocked and said "My last operation there was 20 years ago" ShockShe'd always had a bit of soreness there but didn't think much of it.. It looked as good as new when I pulled it out Grin
It was a very sporny moment. Has anyone else pulled anything unexpected out of anywhere?

A bit strange(and I still can't explain it) but a few years back I was washing my bum in the shower when I felt a tiny sharpish thing poking out. So I pulled, and out came a 4 inch long blade of grass Blush
I have not a scooby how it made its way there.

I had a similar experience to pps with c-section scar and 'dissolving' stitches which caused an infection and then left a small hole which occasionally produces gunk.

But my best story is dd, when she was around 8/9 she has]d this nasty spot which kept recurring on her back (shoulder blade area) eventually she got fed up so took her to dr's, where nurse was baffled and gave us mag sulph to see if there was anything in it, after about three days of diligently changing dressings I was rewarded with pus and what looked like a larger than usual grape pip - no idea how, why, when etc Confused

DH did a lot of gardening after we bought our house a few years ago, and a week or so later complained of a sore bit on his scalp.

Lo and behold; a magnificent spot, red with yellow edges, raised and ready to go.

I got a hot flannel, sat him on a kitchen chair, and applied the cloth.

A finger either side, and crack! - a plume of pus shot out, leaving something spiky about a millimetre long poking from his noggin.

Ignoring all protestations, I grabbed the bugger with tweezers, and gently teased it from his head.

It was only a tiny bit of branch, but as it left his skin it came out with a wonderfully thick green liquid, and left a perfectly circular hole.

T'was a truly wonderful day. GrinGrin

I'm really excited that my cleavage spot is up again. Hours of fun last summer, cheesy green pus that kept refilling. Did I mention that my excited?!

This thread is amazing.

Sadly not much to contribute though.

Had a car crash years ago though, two years later a lump came up on one of my fingers just above the knuckle. Naturally i prodded and poked it for a while until out came a shard of metal. Not content, I kept prodding at it and a shard of glass followed the metal. I'm hoping one day to find more tbh.

Oooh, I love this thread so much. It has been a great comfort when I need cheering up.

Anyway, when I was a teenager, I had what I thought was a graze on the back of my hand. After a while, it had gone a bit soggy looking, like a scab does when it gets a bit damp and slightly infected. One day while bored in school, I was prodding at it, and what I'd thought was the scab turned out to be a splinter about an inch long sitting just under the skin. It floated out on a bed of pus, and was so enjoyable that I popped it back in and out a couple more times. It was the best bit of that day.

Been re reading this thread and remembered about my left earlobe and the lump that appears every few months, in the closed up second hole. There is always a slight bump there but not enough to squeeze but this lump appears from nowhere, is large, goes with a satisfying pop and produces yellowy white liquid pus. Always something to look forward to in the coming months!

AtlantaGinandTonic · 14/05/2017 23:06

The best for me was something on the bottom of my heel that looked like a wart (raised, hard lump with a black centre). DH and GP both said it was a verucca. One day, I'm sat on the bed post-shower and start to squeeze it, as the skin was slightly softer. I ended up digging out what looked like a tiny pebble, leaving only a small indention in my foot. No blood or anything and the indention gradually went away.

I had a little lump inside my nose, on the centre bit (septum?) and for some reason it always worried me as I thought it was cartilage or something sticking out and my nose going to collapse!

Over the years it got more visible until I could eventually see a sort of loop. One day I just couldn't leave it alone so was in the mirror prodding and pulling it (with my little finger nail which is all that would fit!!) and one end came away. I now had what looked like a bright blue wire poking right down out of my nostril attached to the inside of my nose at one end!!

I ran in to show DH who was as freaked as me! I decided to pull it (even though it hurt like fuck and my eyes were watering sooooo bad!).

It kept coming! Eventually got to end and it was about 2-3 inches long and can only assume it was a surgical stitch from the surgery I had on my upper and lower jaws about 15 years earlier!!

The stitch would have originally been in/above my gums (they accessed my top jaw by pulling my lip up and cutting along the whole crease of my lip/gum) which was then sewn with 'dissolvable' stitches!

It was so bloody exciting I had to ring all my family and tell them 'you'll never guess what I pulled out of my nose!!'

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 15/05/2017 08:59

Also, DH wet shaves his head every morning and get soooo many squeezers on his head which are my job to sort out!! So many poppers over the years and on his cheeks some great ingrown hairs that just uncoil out when pulled!!

AlistairSim · 15/05/2017 09:01

This is a magnificent thread Flowers

When my oh stood on a thorn, he was going to go to the docs to get a nurse to sort it..... Nope, I'll sort that! Never seen so much pus come out of such a small wound.
Oh, and when I was a teenager I had what looked like a mozzie bite on my leg, it then developed a flat, black scab over the top that was there for most of the summer. Occasionally I'd give it a squeeze but it was too painful, then one day I was successful and a fly larvae popped out. Truly the most disgusting/satisfying thing ever!

QueenofallIsee · 15/05/2017 09:25

My people weeps with joy!

I have the wonders of a son who is a sporner - he is 11 and just started developing blackheads despite careful facewashing. He bounds downstairs shouting 'get the implement, I have one for you' proud

His twin brother aged about 4 was popped in the bath and DP said 'He has dirty hands, think its marker pen'. I looked and lo, it was a VERY thick, black splinter. Coaxing that out was wonderful..DS and I still talk of it now

kwick · 15/05/2017 18:27

@ChanandlerBongsNeighbour gorgeous story - thanks!

OMG @FutureMrsTempah 🤢

@QueenofallIsee what a lovely DS! #luckyyou

Notsoaccidentproneanymore · 15/05/2017 20:55

DS2 has blackheads and spots (occasionally), but he won't let me anywhere near them.

Do you think it's too late to give him back?

professorvape · 15/05/2017 22:09

DP lets me squeeze him, and 'saves' spots for me until I see him next (live apart). But the best thing ever was when I was about 14 or so and had a quad biking accident that involved hurtling at full speed through a horse bush. I had splinters everywhere (even in one eye Shock) which were pretty easily but quite painfully removed. For months and months after I had a lump on the side of my middle finger on my right hand. One day I was sat in class at school not paying attention and fiddling around with this lump - when - omg it was glorious - a thorn just popped out. I still think of it fondly Grin

*gorse bush

ToadsforJustice · 15/05/2017 22:33

In the 80's, I had a road accident and my glasses smashed in my face. Years later, I was having a shower and I felt a sharp point sticking out of my hip. I squeezed it and a piece of tinted glass came out.

Comedyusername · 16/05/2017 00:50

Amazing stories! The body is truly a wondrous thing obviously

PuffTheMagicDragon1 · 16/05/2017 01:07

I once had a thick black hair stuck vertically in the heel of my foot, had to sort of dig around it with scissors so I could get to it with tweezers, the skin was very rough so didn't hurt much and was such a relief as my foot was really starting to become painful to walk on. No idea how it had imbedded itself so far down!

Ollivander84 · 16/05/2017 02:18

Armpit abscess. Ended up in hospital where they said it wasn't ready to lance. Got home and looked at it, touched it with a needle and it burst. And burst. I have had them before but my god, it stunk, the infection was horrendous and I half filled the sink with the gunk out of it

The second time it happened it was red from my elbow to my boob and they put me under GA to drain it Angry mean

I do currently have stitches in my back, they look quite gruesome

WellThisIsShit · 16/05/2017 07:03
