Laundry can be a surprisingly personal thing - whether you have a special way of hanging out your clothes or a foolproof way of getting your clothes to smell great. With this in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to hear what you consider the most important when it comes to laundry, and what you’d love your laundry detergent to do.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “We have some people tell us that scent is the key to a great wash, others who won’t compromise of softness or those who are all about natural ingredients or the gentleness of the formula. We would love to know what you just cannot not go without?”

Do you focus on getting rid of any odour from your clothes? Perhaps it’s important to you that your laundry products are skin-friendly for the entire family? Maybe you put a lot of energy into keeping your clothes in great condition? Are you a lover of fabric conditioner, keen to ensure that your clothes are all super soft?

Whatever the most important aspect of laundry is to you, share this on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Clean clothes that don't smell too strong and don't irritate my babies skin.

JemIsMyNameNooneElseIsTheSame · 10/06/2018 19:45

Line dried for me. Hanging washing on the line is actually one chore I enjoy!

mumofarcher · 10/06/2018 22:03

The most important factors are getting rid of stains and a great long lasting scent. Dare I ask for a detergent that doesn't smell rank when you've forgotten to put the washing out from the machine🌞?

LittleBirdBlues · 10/06/2018 23:04

Having a very neutral (or no!) smell is important. And not giving me or my kids itchy skin and eczema.

ShePersisted · 11/06/2018 00:24

SPEED! I need to keep moving through the loads as quickly as possible so that I'm not faced with a backlog and our house isn't overrun by piles of dirty laundry. In practice, this means at least one load every 2-3 days.

tigga61 · 11/06/2018 06:03

being a family of eczma sufferers it has to be a powder that doesnt exacerbate this so we have used the same non biological for years now. It works well on getting clothes clean and doesnt irritate.

TracyKNixon · 11/06/2018 06:16

I like my laundryto be clean, soft and smell fresh after washing.

mave · 11/06/2018 06:38

That the clothes look and smell fresh and clean

WarmHugs · 11/06/2018 06:38

Clean is my priority, then fresh smelling. I’m not too bothered about soft. I don’t use fabric conditioner because I wash my towels in with a normal wash.

KAKADU2001 · 11/06/2018 06:39

Clean fresh and washed via environmentally friendly products.

barbsbarbs · 11/06/2018 06:50

the most importnat thing aboutn my laundry 9is thta the clothes smell lovely and that they are really soft, so I put tons of conditoner in, however I can never get it all to smell nice.

stuartcricket1 · 11/06/2018 06:51

Emilygage1982 · 11/06/2018 06:51

A good detergent

Spices001 · 11/06/2018 06:54

Fresh smelling!

Narnianescape · 11/06/2018 07:08

That the clothes get dry.

abby12321 · 11/06/2018 07:10

The smell of the laundry is quite important to me. Stain removal is a joint top factor, especially with small children! x

caralianne · 11/06/2018 07:14

i just love my clothes to smell lovely. I find using a fabric softener really makes the clothes smell fresh and clean and makes them all soft.

hiddenmichelle · 11/06/2018 07:24

fresh smell and whites being white!

amyhalliday1 · 11/06/2018 07:25

Mine is the cleanness - two teenage girls equals tons of tan on whites so it’s very important!

daniel1996 · 11/06/2018 07:30

The most important thing for me is to have my clothes bacteria free and smelling great and clean. So far me its a clean washing machine to eliminate bacteria, and a detergent which cleans first time, is gentle on delicate skin and leaves your clothes fragrant. So for this criteria - fairy ticks all the boxes for me.

ScreamingValenta · 11/06/2018 07:32

Scent, stain removal and colour-fastness for me.

BillywigSting · 11/06/2018 07:48

Not flaring up ds's eczema (or mine) or dps dermatitis (and he's a chemist, so it's recurrent contact dermatitis caused by the exact chemicals in the detergent!)

Coming out clean first time. Work shirts and gym gear can sometimes come out smelling of detergent and sweat which is somehow worse than just sweat.

Clothes coming out soft isn't especially a priority because if something is really bad I'll just tumble dry it for a few minutes until it softens up.

Not fading darks would be nice too.

I wear a lot of black, ds's uniform is all dark colours apart from the shirt and dp wears a lot of navy blue /black. All ends up looking very shabby very quickly with some detergents that seem to leech the colour out a great deal.

Not too bothered about stain removal, that's what vanish is for and we aren't a particularly messy family.

MimiJoy · 11/06/2018 07:53

Getting stains out and having it smell fresh x

Bellaboo1234 · 11/06/2018 07:57

Stain removal and smelling fresh and the smell staying after they are dried.

xcxcsophiexcxc · 11/06/2018 08:10

Is that the stains come out ! With a little boy we're often covered in food, sick, poo, arts and crafts etc etc so this is my number one priority now
