Laundry can be a surprisingly personal thing - whether you have a special way of hanging out your clothes or a foolproof way of getting your clothes to smell great. With this in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to hear what you consider the most important when it comes to laundry, and what you’d love your laundry detergent to do.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “We have some people tell us that scent is the key to a great wash, others who won’t compromise of softness or those who are all about natural ingredients or the gentleness of the formula. We would love to know what you just cannot not go without?”

Do you focus on getting rid of any odour from your clothes? Perhaps it’s important to you that your laundry products are skin-friendly for the entire family? Maybe you put a lot of energy into keeping your clothes in great condition? Are you a lover of fabric conditioner, keen to ensure that your clothes are all super soft?

Whatever the most important aspect of laundry is to you, share this on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Soft clothes and fresh smelling, but non bio for us as it's good for sensitive skin

lolamia91 · 26/06/2018 00:37

cleans and smells delicious

Bellroyd · 26/06/2018 06:42

It's cleanliness - right up there next to godliness for me.

Harper39 · 26/06/2018 06:44

Clean, fresh, soft and with a lovely long lasting fresh scent

piggypoo · 26/06/2018 06:54

To get the cleanest result possible, on the lowest temperature my machine lets me, on the shortest cycle! Then I like to experiment with different scents so that my loved ones waft about smelling vaguely clean for about half an hour! Usually it's 15 minutes if I'm lucky!

Definitely fresh smelling clothes with no stains are important for me

lorrainej162 · 26/06/2018 07:43

Getting it clean first time and it smelling fresh.

Dealing with the laundry is one of my preferred household tasks. I get a sense of satisfaction hanging on the washing line and ironing and sorting it into piles. I particularly love the smell of clean washing and the fabric conditioner is important to me. Probably just as well I feel so positive about laundry as there is always lots of it in this household!

cathryn1 · 26/06/2018 08:25

love the fresh clean smell for me, quick drying is ideal less ironing

Pimmpom · 26/06/2018 08:38

Has to be kind to the skin as eczema in the family.

flozza42 · 26/06/2018 09:28

It's important me me that I use detergent that not only prolongs the quality of my clothes but also makes stains disappear and leaves my clothes smelling fresh and feeling great

Carriecakes80 · 26/06/2018 10:17

It used to be siply wash it, and put it away. Now I have to make sure I use the right washing liquids and rinse it well enough so I don't set off my Mums, and two youngest childrens allergies lol. I only need to use a splash too much and they will come out in hives, so I have to make sure I have Fairy. Nothing else seems to be as kind on the skin. x

francislee1976 · 26/06/2018 11:23

most important aspect of laundry for me is for the clothes to come out clean and to smell nice and fresh.

chillijamx · 26/06/2018 11:32

with teenage boys /hormonal a bit tardy removal of odour is number 1 priority / scent . been adding vinegar to try to get those t shirts / socks smelling better.

Smellophant87 · 26/06/2018 11:56

Definitely having nice smelling clothes!

helcrai · 26/06/2018 13:47

Most important is to get all stains out- hate it when there's still a trace of coffee or ketchup. Second is a nice smell which preferably lasts longer than just from the washing machine to the clothes line; third is softness- I like my little ones to feel cosy and snuggly in their PJs and not to have scratchy towels like cardboard. An added bonus would be to be free of germs, but usually rely on a hot wash for that.

tishist · 26/06/2018 17:41

Most important for us is using eco-friendly, non-toxic products. Most of us have sensitive skin that flares up with regular laundry products. It seems a lot of the regular ones reek of overpowering fragrance these days that people's clothes have a choking, overwhelming smell when you simply walk by! Or maybe it's just their perfume :)

MismatchedStripySocks · 26/06/2018 17:44

Main priority is that it is non-bio otherwise it makes my husband’s balls itch. Other than that, nothing really.

DiWoo · 26/06/2018 19:00

We are a clumsy family so there is many a spillage happening here, added to that, the pets, means tough work for my detergent and it needs to be up to the job!

mkt13 · 26/06/2018 20:01

I like to use ecofriendly products and am currently using a vegan washing powder scented with natural lemongrass that smell amazing, The clothes are still clean but they smell great too.

toniuk · 26/06/2018 21:43

drying on the line

GeorgeW78 · 26/06/2018 22:41

No smells or stains are my top priorities!

clarabella12 · 26/06/2018 23:18

that it smells nice and looks clean!

diddiebiddie · 26/06/2018 23:34

I like the clothes to be clean and fresh smelling but most important that they are skin-friendly, I have sensitive skin and once ended up with blisters when detergent formula was changed.

phillw · 26/06/2018 23:40

I like to ensure the clothes are properly clean and gentle on my families skin.
