What are the most important aspects of laundry to you? Find out what Mumsnet users told Fairy Non Bio

NOW CLOSED

Laundry can be a surprisingly personal thing - whether you have a special way of hanging out your clothes or a foolproof way of getting your clothes to smell great. With this in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to hear what you consider the most important when it comes to laundry, and what you’d love your laundry detergent to do.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “We have some people tell us that scent is the key to a great wash, others who won’t compromise of softness or those who are all about natural ingredients or the gentleness of the formula. We would love to know what you just cannot not go without?”

Do you focus on getting rid of any odour from your clothes? Perhaps it’s important to you that your laundry products are skin-friendly for the entire family? Maybe you put a lot of energy into keeping your clothes in great condition? Are you a lover of fabric conditioner, keen to ensure that your clothes are all super soft?

Whatever the most important aspect of laundry is to you, share this on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

The most important aspect for me is that it cleans well, removes stains and odours and leaves whites white. As long as it smells fresh and clean, I'm not bothered about the scent.

ncullinane · 27/06/2018 23:30

It's important that things are coming out really cleans and smelling fresh but have to be kind on skin too

finova · 28/06/2018 20:07

I like to use non-bio so it’s gentle on my families skin.

zoemellor · 30/06/2018 00:18

Something that cleans the clothes, smells nice (not too overpowering or flowery but clean), make the clothes soft but most importantly is gentle on skin as we have eczema allergy and asthma sufferers with various triggers

bikerclaire · 05/07/2018 13:22

We're still usng non-bio for everything even though our daughter's nearly 2. I can't stand an overpowering scent but do like a nice, fresh, delicate spring scent. Sometimes you can tell the clothes hung outside vs those dryed indoors, that's very hard to capture in a bottle! Softener is esssential as we live in a hard water area. If we don't use conditioner the clothes get rough, almost stiff!

PolkerrisBeach · 05/07/2018 17:01

Getting stuff clean and fresh is obviously the most important thing. I don't use separate fabric conditioner, and try to wash at as low a temperature as possible.

I also think it's really important only to wash things when they NEED washed, not just because they've been worn for a couple of hours.

Got to be skin-friendly and also NOT have any lingering scent. I don't actually want my clothes to be so smelly that people think I've chosen that as my perfume!

Havingkittens04 · 27/07/2018 08:20

It has to look clean and smell clean x

SilverHairedCat · 13/08/2018 08:31

I need not to develop an allergic reaction to it! I'm allergic to do many washing powders, gels and liquids, and it's a nightmare to find ones I can live with.

How brilliant. Thanks MN!

For me it's getting rid of unpleasant odours and stains. It's no point in just getting a nice scent if the clothes still look dirty which has happened on some occasions.

frogintheTyne · 17/08/2018 10:44

that the powder doesn't smell of perfume and is non allergenic - really non allergenic, not big brand 'sensitive" which isn't . I'm talking about no added perfumes and won't buy anything other than Surcare.

custardcream1000 · 17/08/2018 18:38

As long as our clothes smell fresh and are stain free, I'm happy.

Fergusmum · 24/08/2018 22:21

There is nothing more comforting than clean and fresh smelling sheets. Simple!
