Laundry can be a surprisingly personal thing - whether you have a special way of hanging out your clothes or a foolproof way of getting your clothes to smell great. With this in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to hear what you consider the most important when it comes to laundry, and what you’d love your laundry detergent to do.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “We have some people tell us that scent is the key to a great wash, others who won’t compromise of softness or those who are all about natural ingredients or the gentleness of the formula. We would love to know what you just cannot not go without?”

Do you focus on getting rid of any odour from your clothes? Perhaps it’s important to you that your laundry products are skin-friendly for the entire family? Maybe you put a lot of energy into keeping your clothes in great condition? Are you a lover of fabric conditioner, keen to ensure that your clothes are all super soft?

Whatever the most important aspect of laundry is to you, share this on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

For me its the wash part - I need the clothes to be smelling fresh and soft

katieskatie82 · 22/06/2018 14:33

it has to be stain removal for me, and something that makes the clothes smell nice x

MillyVanilli222 · 22/06/2018 17:21

It's important to me that things are cleaned thoroughly, so a great formula that gets rid of stains, odours and dirt is super important. A nice scent is also a big bonus!

rocketriffs · 22/06/2018 17:27

A washing powder free from allergic reactions is important to me and weather permitting drying clothes outdoors on the line.

CopperPan · 22/06/2018 18:06

For me it's important to get everything cleaned quickly, and for the clothes to come out as crease-free as possible (we're a non-ironing house!). Luckily none of us have sensitive skin so we can use most products.

alabaster002 · 22/06/2018 19:06

Keep it under control or it becomes a real chore!

Consuming the least amount of energy, so it get washed during the night and dried on the line or in the heat pump drier at night during the economy 7 period.

For me the most important thing is to get rid of odours.

DinosApple · 23/06/2018 06:13

Stain free, clean and smelling nice.

The most important thing for me regarding laundry is that all washing comes out perfectly clean, with all stains removed.

I prefer using a non bio detergent, but it has to work as well as bio, with stains disappearing in the first wash, leaving no odour.

As a couple of members of my family suffer slightly with eczema, non bio detergent doesn't irritate the skin like bio, and is best for us. I use fabric softener for some washes, but not for heavier duty work clothes or denims.

Basically, I want reasonably priced detergent which does what is says on the tin.

Verbena87 · 23/06/2018 10:36

I like my laundry detergent to be skin friendly and absolutely not scented - cannot stand perfumed laundry! It needs to get rid of BO and dirt as well, obviously!

My ideal laundry is washed in unscented detergent then hung outside in bright sun to dry - seems to bring the freshness of the garden in!

Needs to smell fresh and not cause allergic reactions.

chrissie4 · 23/06/2018 22:56

I stick to the same brand using anything else affects my husbands allergies.

Leanfun · 24/06/2018 09:09

That washing is clean and smells fresh and soft. Also no problems about skin irritations.

glmcall123 · 24/06/2018 11:17

Removing stains first time is most important to me. I've only just realised that some stains are set in if I wash at 40° so I'm washing at 30° or lower now.

angiesandhu007 · 24/06/2018 12:29

I love the amazing scent of clean laundry

KJ1986UK · 24/06/2018 16:30

Making sure the clothes are smelling fresh and clean and are free of any stains.

JBH316 · 25/06/2018 06:58

I have a bit of an obsession with fabric softeners. Anything that sounds like it will smell nice goes in my trolley for me to try. I want my clothes to get clean from the first wash, want them to smell fresh and to feel soft. Nothing beats wrapping yourself in a big fluffy towel after a bath and I want that feeling no matter what I'm wearing!

ninjaworrier · 25/06/2018 08:48

That it gets the grass stains out of my kids' clothes!

Loftzilla · 25/06/2018 10:26

Stain-free, pong-free and iron-free!

anji2000 · 25/06/2018 11:22

The most important aspect of my laundry is getting it done before I get lost underneath the mountain of it.

snare · 25/06/2018 11:48

that the washing is clean :)

angela121262 · 25/06/2018 12:44

Detergents that remove stains but are gentle on the fabric too, and conditioner that makes clothes soft and fragrant.
