The time has come for the insight team at MNHQ to do our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year!
Xmas Smile

(In case you don't know insight covers surveys, product events, product tests and sponsored threads on MN, as well as bloggers reviews, and reviewers recruitment)

Read on for the chance to win...
~ A £100 Mitchells & Butlers dining out gift card or
~ A £50 giftcard to spend at M&S or
~ A selection of the new range of Bassetts Vitamins worth over £15 and tailored to you and your family's needs or
~ One of 20 chances to win a Cadbury’s selection box

In 2015, we have given away over £40,000 in prizes - mainly in the form of vouchers but also products including iPad minis, a van full of mini milks, a year's supply of ASDA Little Angels nappies, and excursions such as a family ticket to the Harry Potter studio, an annual family membership to Historic Royal Palaces, and a 7-night camping holiday!

The range of products you have tested and given feedback on is as varied as ever – from Miele tumble dryers and vacuum cleaners, Kenwood kCook food processors, Snazaroo facepaint to Bear Paws and Anchor butter!

We have also run some extremely popular threads, enabling you to have your say on a varied range of topics from the things you let your kids get away with when they’re poorly, to your child’s rapper name, and your ideal celebrity cinema buddy! Recently, the issue of real or fake Christmas trees stirred great debate amongst you Mumsnetters.

We love meeting you face to face – and giving you the chance to experience something new – from a crash course on all things digital with Barclays' Digital Driving License, to a children’s shoe fitting experience with Brantano. Many of you put the new kids' menu at Café Rouge with your family to the MN test.

There was even the chance to test drive the SEAT Alhambra, to see the videos click , as well as visit Thorpe Park again this year.

And ta-da can you spot our new insight ads on this thread, unveiled for the first time? Look out for them across MN in the future.

For a chance to win one of the prizes, please share on this thread what you have enjoyed taking part in this year, or appreciated reading about. Or tell us what you’d like to product test next year?

Most of the product tests are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely (and fast growing) insight research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please do sign up now. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it’s not for you.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Smile

Happy Christmas! [santa]
AnnMumsnet, FreyaMumsnet, AngelieMumsnet, and ZaneMumsnet.

I'd love to test a washer/dryer as ours has broken - great timing! Smaller things like skin care; cream/lotion/oil etc would be great too!

We tried out nappies and chocolate baubles this year - both were a bit hit, so thanks for the opportunity! We are currently trying out Disney life, which is going down well so far. Oh and I was really lucky to win one of the big voucher prizes, so all in all a great year Grin Thanks Mumsnet

I've not been lucky enough to be picked to test anything, but will keep trying my luck, never give up I say! I love to read the reviews from everyone about places to go for the family, I find this really helpful when planning day trips out, it's great to read reviews from people who are in the same situations and have similar needs and requirements to me! :)

I have enjoyed taking part in twitter parties this year, they are a great way to communicate with companies and meet like minded people.

We enjoyed testing the Cadbury's Christmas chocolates.

I was a participant in the Barclay's Digital Driving License trial which I really enjoyed. That's been my only trial this year! I'd be very willing to be part of any future trials - product trials, internet usage based trials or anything else really! I love a project! :)

I really enjoyed taking part in the tests - Bear fruit, and I believe we had some laundry products. It's great having this opportunity and being part of a community. I'd love to try some restaurants next year like ASK, Pizza Express to rate how family friendly they are. Also, chocolate/sweet treat testing always goes down well in this household! Pressure washers for outside would be another good one to try!!! Many thanks Mumsnet, you do an excellent job. Happy New Year!

We love taking part in the testing, and ds is really into it now. Our faves were Cafe Rouge, and Valspar. Oh, and the Annie preview!

Well by far the favourite here was getting the chance to review Royal Caribbean and just finding out how family friendly they were! I love reading up on the reviews of appliances and day outs too!

We have just finished testing newborn nappies that were great :)

It was the only thing I applied for as only just joined MN but hoping we will be lucky and picked for something else in the coming year.

I took part in the Cafe Rouge visit. That was fun and not somewhere we would normally go so was much appreciated. I also had an email before Christmas to say I'd won a £50 John Lewis voucher through answering an Insight survey so I'm very chuffed. It arrived the other day and I'm just planning how to spend it. Thanks Flowers!
I enjoy reading the feedback threads too. My favourite was the cruise one which has really whet my appetite.

I'm doing the breast pump at the moment, and it is great! Perfect timing reAlly, I was whinging about how crap my breast pump was, my freezer stash had all got used, so it was,a very timely opportunity. I must say that is the one thing I really live about these tests and surveys. When they just chime with what is going in in your life at that moment.
I enjoyed reading about the nappy changing moments a d tips, which were happening at about the time I was getting my head round going back to the nappy stage after,a long break.
The tumble drier would have been fortuitous, but was probably the most desired ticket in the insight year!

I'm looking forward to whatever crops up next year, that fits in with my family.

Thanks so much Insight team

I've really enjoyed taking part in the Flora Challenges, the Valspar paint test and, more recently, the DisneyLife test.

I generally just enjoy the discussions! You really get to see people's responses from so many different backgrounds and ages. So many are so witty and some are just nice to see how similar a lot of us are!

Next year, keep on with the variety of threads, discussions and product tests.

I think for a big prize/test you should have some short breaks, or day trips. :)

My family I have enjoyed all of our product tests this year. The DC have particularly enjoyed the Cadbury's Baubles & Mini Milks. My own favourite was definitely test-driving the SEAT Alhambra, I felt very fortunate to be picked as one of the lucky testers for that product Grin

I would like to carry on trying out food products of any sort for my every hungry DSes. We would also enjoy meals/trips/days out as we are always looking for new places to take the boys.

Thank you to MN for all the products we have been able to test through you this year Smile

We tested the Bear Paws and Christmas Baubles; daughters loved these tests and dd1 has been really useful at helping with feedback. It's great that people are allowed the opportunity to take part in these tests.

Looking forward to seeing what new things need tested this year.

I'd like to test things I'd never get the chance to try in real life like the robot vacuum or little luxuries that would make my life easier like an auto switch for lights or a universal remote control.

I would enjoy reading about the 'experience stuff' such as days out to theme parks and stately homes etc.

I have loved being part of the panel in 2015 and hope to be picked for more product tests in the future. My children's favourite was the Cadbury's baubles- they enjoyed giving their feedback! I also won a voucher this year from one of the surveys! Smile
