The time has come for the insight team at MNHQ to do our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year!
Xmas Smile

(In case you don't know insight covers surveys, product events, product tests and sponsored threads on MN, as well as bloggers reviews, and reviewers recruitment)

Read on for the chance to win...
~ A £100 Mitchells & Butlers dining out gift card or
~ A £50 giftcard to spend at M&S or
~ A selection of the new range of Bassetts Vitamins worth over £15 and tailored to you and your family's needs or
~ One of 20 chances to win a Cadbury’s selection box

In 2015, we have given away over £40,000 in prizes - mainly in the form of vouchers but also products including iPad minis, a van full of mini milks, a year's supply of ASDA Little Angels nappies, and excursions such as a family ticket to the Harry Potter studio, an annual family membership to Historic Royal Palaces, and a 7-night camping holiday!

The range of products you have tested and given feedback on is as varied as ever – from Miele tumble dryers and vacuum cleaners, Kenwood kCook food processors, Snazaroo facepaint to Bear Paws and Anchor butter!

We have also run some extremely popular threads, enabling you to have your say on a varied range of topics from the things you let your kids get away with when they’re poorly, to your child’s rapper name, and your ideal celebrity cinema buddy! Recently, the issue of real or fake Christmas trees stirred great debate amongst you Mumsnetters.

We love meeting you face to face – and giving you the chance to experience something new – from a crash course on all things digital with Barclays' Digital Driving License, to a children’s shoe fitting experience with Brantano. Many of you put the new kids' menu at Café Rouge with your family to the MN test.

There was even the chance to test drive the SEAT Alhambra, to see the videos click , as well as visit Thorpe Park again this year.

And ta-da can you spot our new insight ads on this thread, unveiled for the first time? Look out for them across MN in the future.

For a chance to win one of the prizes, please share on this thread what you have enjoyed taking part in this year, or appreciated reading about. Or tell us what you’d like to product test next year?

Most of the product tests are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely (and fast growing) insight research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please do sign up now. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it’s not for you.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Smile

Happy Christmas! [santa]

I love taking part in your competitions, thank you for the chance to win some amazing prizes! I would be keen to product test, in particular anything baby related as I am expecting baby number 4 in the summer!!! At the moment, thinking about upgrading our car is our biggest issue, so the SEAT Alhambra would come in handy!!

winterpark · 27/12/2015 18:29

I would like to test anything to do with diet and exercise.

merlymerly · 27/12/2015 18:32

I'm not a great fan of ironing so I would really like to test drive a Steam Generator Iron as I'm told it makes the task easier!

Flapdoodles · 27/12/2015 20:51

I enjoy completing the surveys and am part of the Cadbury Panel and lucky enough to try out the chocolate baubles - well, I had one of each and the kids ate the rest!

Reading through all the lucky recipients of the product trials on this thread my New Years resolution will definitely be to complete more applications for product trials.

Thanks Mumsnet.

I would love to be a undercover hotel inspector - love the idea of staying in hotels and giving honest reviews - ah well a girl can always dream!

Jocelynne123 · 27/12/2015 21:35

I haven't been lucky enough to be chosen as a tester but I do enjoy reading the reviews. It's very helpful to have unbiased reviews when choosing a product or a place to visit. We are hoping to have a visit to Thorpe park in 2016 xx

jt75 · 27/12/2015 21:35

I have tried out some of the recipes.

kpdchudleigh · 27/12/2015 21:41

I would love to be testing products to keep me groomed with minimum time and effort, the latest hair removal perhaps.

LynnGay159 · 27/12/2015 21:46

I love doing the product tests and my children have got a few things they wouldn't have had otherwise, they loved the Bassets vitamins and we had loads of fun with the Snazaroo face paints .

turboshandy · 27/12/2015 21:54

Would love to be selected for product testing, especially a dine out one like Cafe Rouge.

thekiwibex · 27/12/2015 23:11

Would love to test tech products, or cleaning products aimed at making cleaning quicker/easier, or any snack/treat foods!

sweetsomethings · 28/12/2015 00:18

Would love to test some more books

Bostin · 28/12/2015 08:10

I would like to see more reviews of family holidays and days out.

CrystalGlitz · 28/12/2015 09:36

We really enjoyed the Valspar paint product test. It gave us a great incentive to redecorate DTD2's bedroom, and she's so pleased with it. On to do DTD1's bedroom in January, which will really make the house feel a more welcoming place to live! Thanks for the opportunity to test the products and give our feedback.

Next year I'd like to see more tests on bikes (can be expensive, not always designed well for women, few genuine 'commuter cyclist' reviews out there) and also cars (ditto - usually designed badly for short drivers!).

lizd31 · 28/12/2015 10:37

I enjoy participating in the surveys & commenting on these posts & reading other people's comments. I was lucky enough to win some shopping vouchers from one of your competitions so thank you so much for that.

dirtypop · 28/12/2015 12:49

would love to test techy products

starlight36 · 28/12/2015 15:33

We've enjoyed another year on the panel. Highlights have been the BEAR Paws (a regular treat now!), Little Dish meals and the Anchor baking challenge. My DD also loved receiving her Kinder story book.

We haven't been selected for any of the family restaurant / days out tests yet so would like to see more of those! Window vacs or mini steam cleaners would also be good.

angiesandhu1 · 28/12/2015 15:49

Winter Wonderland was good this year

StickChildNumberTwo · 28/12/2015 16:51

I've been lucky to win some vouchers, review some books and test paint, chocolate baubles and a breast pump. I really enjoy the testing and hope to get to do some more next year, and the fact it meant I got my baby son's room decorated was a bonus.

Sometimes things seem a bit London-centric in terms of prizes/testing days out, which is a bit of a shame for those of us in the rest of the country.

robyn297 · 28/12/2015 18:01

I would love to product test some weaning goodies for with my daughter

mo3733 · 28/12/2015 18:05

i enjoyed taking part in a get fit campaign in my town village hall. its totally changed the way i feel about my body and has given me confidence.

phillie1 · 28/12/2015 18:20

would love to be chosen just once to test something

starlight36 · 28/12/2015 18:22

I forgot about reviewing a picture book: 'Lion Practice' by Emma Carlisle was enjoyed at the time but is a real grower and is a regular bedtime favourite in our house. Thanks again Mumsnet.

cluckyhen · 28/12/2015 18:28

As always I have loved reading the recipe pages and they have been a lifesaver when I have run out of ideas on more than one occasion. I have also loved reading the reviews on days out by your panel

cathyov · 28/12/2015 18:50

Would be happy to try anything and everything as this last year I did not seem to find time for fun things so fingers crossed for 2016!
