Dd has started to crawl ( in a fashion - wormy squirm) across the room. Yesterday I had to pop upstairs for a moment and left her sitting playing with some toys. I came back and she was on her tummy facing the opposite direction, across the room at her toy box. She has now just crawled across the floor to get her hands on the remote control.

SHe also had her fist paddle in her paddling pool. It is her 1st birthday next month and we bought her the pool for that - figured we better get it early in case there it not too long to enjoy it. SHe looked so cute in her sunvest and hat splashing like mad....

Thank you doormat .

This is a proud but feeling guilty one. As I have been tapping away on here this afternoon whilst ds and dd have been playing my dd must have decided she needed the loo. I saw her keep pointing at the pot. But havent been bothering with her potty training the last week because she has been ill. So I was just taking no notice of her. Anyway I saw ds carrying the pot off so just carried on on here. When I next looked she had took her skirt down, her tights down and her nappy off and was sitting on her chair doing a wee!!! It was so funny but she must be really getting the hang of thingsSmile

doormat · 09/10/2003 15:28

I came on to tell you about Lotties standing, haven't been here for a little while - great news Fio you have every right to be very proud.

So you know we've been using this frame with Lot Bags - well we've slacked off a bit and I've been feeling INCREDIBLY guilty about it. Anyway, I was running her bath a couple of nights ago - she was excited and impatient to get in so I stood her against the side of the bath so she could see me swishing the bubbles around etc and she stood and held onto the side of the bath and stayed there for about 20-30 seconds. Then she looked next to her - realised I wasn't holding her or anything and just threw her self back on her bum! Cheeky monkey! Also took her to Legoland yesterday (what a great place) and was changing her nappy and just sort of stood her up on the top to pull up her tights and little culottes and she just stood there, arms on my shoulders while I finished dressing her. Suddenly felt like I had a little girl as opposed to a baby - and it felt great! Also so much easier to dress her when she's standing up. Of course her legs gave way but onbly after I'd finished tucking her in!

Oh no - it's me again - I was the last one to post here - come on girls, I don't believe the whipper snappers haven?t done anything to make you proud.

Here's mine!

I got in from work having picked Lottie up and dumped her in the lounge in front of MTV with a bottle of milk while I did my whirlwind impersonation and unpacked the days bags, shopping, put the oven on, you know what I mean. Anyway - was in the kitchen when I felt a tug at my trousers - and there she was, the little monkey. Her longest belly shuffle yet! Across the lounge, down the hall and across the other side of the kitchen! Go on Lottie!!!!!

fio2 · 30/10/2003 10:12

what a great acheivement for herSmile you'll have to make sure you've mopped all the floors now!

Jimjams · 30/10/2003 10:15

brilliant TC. Well done Lottie.

OK I'll post to keep you company. Ds1 has discovered pointing with an index finger in a big big way. If we say where's the..... we get a beautiful point. He also points to things he wants.

Oh and today he found his cake pecs card and brought it upstairs to me from the kitchen.

Blu · 30/10/2003 10:15

BRILLIANT!
Go, ThomKitten, Go.

Thomcat and Jimjams what wonderful, brilliant news
Lottie is really doing well
Jimjams do you think ds was hinting that he wanted cake

ThomCat · 30/10/2003 10:30

JimJams - ahhh - I don't know what it is but seeing their little fingers pointing with all the heart at something is just so cute, dykwim?

What are you all talking about - mopping floors - now I just leave them dirty and tie dusters round her body - job done!
