You need the letter as they ask for the date it got sent out. I found the form quite easy to complete they ask about your child and why you think the decision is wrong. You can also add evidence. After DWP has 28 days to respond.

I know they made decision 16th april so ive done online form and complete online. I dont feel i have an extra evidence what i have should.of been enough. Have you sent anymore? Do many people win appeals? How long do they take? Sorry for all questions x

I have sent evidence already provided in her DLA claim just so they can have an understanding of my daughter's needs, such as EHCP , teacher statement and my personal statement. I think it depends on where you are to get a tribunal hearing so can't advise on that but I will let you know about mine. As far as I read there is about a 60-70% success rate so I think is quite a good chance to get the decision in your favour as long as you have some type of proof.

Does anyone know how long renewals are taking. I received my forms and have filled them in but I am sure on timescales. Also do I need to go in as much detail as my original form. Son is 5 with asd and have sent ados assessment and paediatric letters

Libra33 · 21/04/2026 07:32

Good morning I woke up to a payment of £3,492. My original claim started on 15th July, I was receiving LRC+LRM what does this mean this has been increased to? Thank you

SD 19/03/26. Just rang to make sure extra evidence was added as person I spoke to was having issues with the form a couple of weeks ago.
No decision / not assigned to DM yet. Fingers crossed it’s soon.

Hey! My SD is 19/03! Have you heard anything yet? I called this morning and was told not with DM yet. Fingers crossed soon for us both!

Mummyof8sweeties · 21/04/2026 13:01

Rang up this morning and requested they put in the notes that my form was sent with plenty of time before the cut off time. Lady wasnt best pleased I asked her to write in the notes but did (or I atleast hope she did) . I asked her to write that I had sent the form off freepost and there was 12 days still the cut off point 2-4 working days royal have stated freepost takes.. the lady then got rude and said well its not our problem you cant send it off with time , We dont get a singular form they all get sent as a pile , So if anything they should definatly take that into consideration its a joke. Then theres the fact the forms sit in a pile on a desk for days before they are scanned and before you know it the form is past cutoff point.!! Its a total nightmare.

Hi, have you submitted it via the online form? If so you can check your progress online. As far as I am aware DWP has 28 day to answer from when you submitted the form. I would definitely check with the tribunal service.

Hi, my renewal scan date was 18/03 , decision was made on 15/04, claim was ending on 11/06.

Thank you. My claim doesn’t run out for my son till 27/08 but always get anxious. Did you fill in the renewal like a new claim, I’m worried I haven’t provided all the detail as before but have sent in his asd reports and referenced a change in behaviours as he is now bigger but needs still same

I have completed the form, sent in as much information as I had and also a signed personal statement as my daughter is still awaiting her ASD and ADHD assessments. If you have anything you think you missed or you think is worth mentioning I would send it, as you still have time. Hopefully it will help you fill less anxious. 😊

Did you post yours recorded delivery? I have sent his asd report, ados assessment and have gone into as much detail think as I can. I found I was repeating myself alot so was tying myself in knots. He’s only 5 and went through all this when he was 3 and back then I had to wait 8months due to backlogs

Wow they’re on Nov already. My son got awarded MRC March 2025, took till Aug to receive it, MR done sept 2025 & I’m still waiting, as of Monday this week it was still with DM, been with them since 5th April, they told me it could be with a DM for 5-6 weeks. The wait is painful
