Hi all, not been on for a while as been poorly, busy and just stressing out! I have court on Monday for my sons appeal and absolutely cacking it! Hs anyone else had to go to court of appeal? What was it like? What was the outcome? Almost 19mth since first applying now and I’m so fed up, I just want it over with one way or another

MR 15/9, I was wondering if anyone got their award extended during a MR for mobility, I have asked them to look at the award period as the claim is due for renew 11/06. Thank you

Hi nc scan date 18th december.
I called yesterday for a update to be told the form had been put under my name instead of the childs what happens now does this mean i will have to wait even longer as i have seen quiet a few around my scan date be pprocessed and awarded already if anyone can help thank you.

24/6 MR, still nothing. Rang last week and asked for it to be made a priority but not heard a thing so far xx

Did they say they would correct it for you when you rang? My SD is 31/12 and I received a letter a week later asking for my son’s birth certificate as the details they had on his form didn’t match any of the DWP records. When I rang, the lady I spoke to couldn’t understand the issue and said my son’s name and my name matched all other DWP records. I sent his birth certificate anyway along with extra evidence that I had received. I haven’t heard anything since. I’m trying to be patient. My other son’s claim last year took 15 weeks and I had no issues with names at all.

Hi yes they changed it over to my sons name i didnt think to ask whether it would be put on with origanal scan date i will call again and check. yes with my other child i was the same last year i waited 20weeks before a decision and no issues then.hopefully you get a decision soon they do seem to be getting through new claims extremely fast.

I’m assuming it will still be the same SD. Especially when it’s their mistake and not yours. Maybe ring them back and just double check. It’s a shame DLA isn’t done online, it would be so much easier to keep tabs on things rather than having to ring up and spend up to an hour on hold to possibly end up speaking to someone that can’t be arsed to tell you anything. I’ve been lucky so far and every advisor I’ve spoken to has been helpful but I’ve seen some post where people have been told not to ring back and basically told that they can’t be told any information over the phone.

Yes i will call today. I agree would be abit easier if online, luckily i did have a nice one yesterday who took the time to check hopefully i get the same today 😊.

Hi, I was wondering if i should be concerned at all my child's dla runs out on the 15/05 and I sent off his renewal form 2 days ago. I just received a call as I had a missed question the lady I spoke to said that it was fine as I could answer it over the phone but she then said I would receive a letter in the next 7-10 days regarding his claim Will this be the normal letter that everyone receives? As It seems like they are already reviewing his claim so not sure if it will be the decision letter or not as surely it would be too quick for a decision. Also would today be my scan date?

My NC SD is 17/12. I phoned and requested for the form on 06/11.

IF we get awarded, do they pay from SD or from the date the form was requested? Thank you. ☺️

So I have an update, I decided to call as it was making me feel nervous turns out they have made a decision already. I had only sent off the renewal forms 2 days ago!! Noone would tell me what decision has been made and told me to wait for the letter to arrive as It has only been sent off today. So now I have a nerve wracking 7-10 days to wait.

From the date the form was requested as long as they received the forms by the date that they stated on the original forms.

Ring them back up, they can tell you just some dont. Pick option 4 at the end not option 2.

Ive just spoke to dla. Renewal took 2 days awarded hrs and lrm until 2028.

They did this to me. Couldn’t find our form and I was panicking because I sent it off on the 23/12 and it was tracked and they received it on 24/12. I rang and somebody told me they hadn’t received it. I rang back the next day and they told me they put it in my name. They corrected this and the scan date stays the same x

When was your renewal due? You put 15/05 I was just wondering if that was a typo? Our renewal is due end of Feb but sent CoC too and could really use the backpay if they change the rate

My child's dla was due to run out 15/05/2026. I didn't have a Coc though, but was surprised that they had made a decision so quickly was expecting to wait to hear back closer to the date it was due to end. My rates didnt change either hrc and lrm. Fingers crossed you hear back soon and get what your child needs.

Wow! I'm glad for you that it's been done but there really doesn't seem to be any logic to the order 😂 I sent of some extra evidence which they recieved yesterday so I think I'm going to give them a chance to scan it and then phone on Friday and ask if they can make it a priority, we're currently not able to access education and also need a private ot report for ehcp appeal so it would really help.

Does anyone know if logged and scanned is the same thing?
I rang to see if they had recieved some extra bits i sent.
They said my claim hasn't been logged yet. But I received the text the day after tracking said it was delivered.
Presuming if it's not been scanned yet, it's gonna be a while (it only arrived 2 weeks ago but thought it would at least be scanned by now!)

Any July mr been done yet?

Thank you! ❤️ Well I also had a COC which was sent 16th Sept and then renewal sent 17th Nov, decision was made on the 7th January so I’m unsure which one was picked up first to trigger the other to be done together. I was on week 16 for COC and week 7 for the renewal if that makes sense x

I think they’re still on mid June. I’m 24/06 and heard nothing. Although I’ve not read about any MR’s being done lately xx
