Oh that's so frustrating! I have read ones waiting on coc and mr seem to be taking longer, I've seen afew moaning on fb groups about it. Yours should of been done you've been waiting long enough. In 2 days it'll be a year since I called for the forms it's madness

Im the same March was a year since I first done the forms, I don't know why they can't do mr first and coc when it's time but I understand it does both and out the way but it's never ending it seems

Did you put MR as you didn't agree with MRC? If so have you heard back? I was going to do MR as i don't think they checked every properly and believe DD meets the criteria for HRC with evidence for everything, just wondering if they take as long as the MRs for decline because I don't think I have the tolerance for the stress of the wait. Also for the mobility I thought they automatically sent forms when child turns 3 from what I've read, however give them a call and explain you already get the care part of the DLA but now your child meets the eligibility age for mobility you want to apply for that, I don't think you would need to fill the whole form again just the mobility part. Good luck.

I still haven’t heard back from mr and yes was awarded mcr but I believe dd meets criteria for hcr

Oh wow that's such a long time to wait! I feel the same as you with DDs award, I was going to do an MR I think i still will it's just trying to keep sane whilst waiting. Hopefully you won't have to wait much longer to get a decision 🤞 deffo ring for the mobility

I’m mr 20/8 boys under portage now had a referral for nansa sleep therapy he’s under portage as he’s 3 on Tuesday but has the brain age of a 1 year old they gave us middle rate care reasoning he probably goes to sleep before the adults in the house like nope he sleeps from 1 am till 3am then is awake and wild the rest of the day

Oh bless you, it's draining isn't it, hate that how they can say child is probably asleep, i understand it's hard to prove that whereas other needs will be recognised by others, it's hard going when your child gets minimal sleep like a walking talking zombie each day! If your sleep therapy referral is new since your MR then I'd recommend getting a copy of the referral to send for evidence, this would prove your child's night time needs are recognised by professionals and serious enough to take action. Good luck hope you get the outcome your child deserves.

MR scan date 20/08, phoned up as we are at 25 weeks and they are saying it going to be at least a few more weeks🫠

Tiredmum25 · 12/02/2026 11:58

Called this morning to see if extra evidence had been recieved for coc and nc.
the lady said coc are exceeding 25 weeks at the moment 🙈 hopefully NC will be quicker though as they putting them through quite quickly from what I’ve seen.

I’m exactly the same scan date they have just started on August so definitely atleast a few more weeks I have told myself a few more weeks or a few more years to ease my anxiety

The nc are going through in afew weeks, one woman on fb got backpay within a week of sending her forms in!! Wish they would even it out with the MRs and COC times

MR 02/09

Been following for a while here. My daughter has been on DLA since she was 1, she’s now 7. Always HRC, renewal last year was rejected due to them losing her paperwork which supported them not changing the claim. They also lost a COC for her mobility last year so I waited for the renewal to ask for mobility for her.

Been 9 months of having to care for her without any help from DLA, so getting abit frustrated with waiting. But thought I’m not the only one going through this surely and seeing the dates of everyone’s MR’s is helping me!

Called today and not with decision maker so if your MR is later than mine I will post an update when I have one.

Good luck everyone x

Hello. I've been watching this thread since I applied for my daughter in November and just wanted to share a somewhat positive timeline.
I applied originally in June 2024. Heard back in February 2025 that it had been denied.
I then put a new application in at the end of Novemeber and had confirmation it had been received on the 5th December 2025.
I got a text this afternoon saying they have decided thay my dd qualifies for DLA and I'll recieve a letter within 2 weeks with the details.
Was not expecting it so quickly but so relieved with the outcome.
I dont know if maybe I had a good DM or the evidence was more sufficient this time
