How long did it take for everyone to get a decision from UC regarding backpay my children were verified on monday and was sent to a decision maker. Im just wondering how long it takes from this point as i cant remember from last time.

I was just coming to ask about UC 🤣 can I ask when you notified them off the change? Last time my first child's took a week and my seconds child was done in a day which would be lovely but I doubt that will happen again this time.

Lonnie1423 · 29/01/2026 15:51

Manager can't give me an answer why everyone else is being done and July mr are still waiting. It was like a battle

Senmum94 · 29/01/2026 16:24

I know it’s very weird! A decision maker phoned me today regarding her medication for night time, I don’t understand as I logged it the 29dec. But my other child’s 24october and not even allocated. They only thing I can think that’s diff and why it was quicker is because I challenged a renewal choice. And the October one was for a NC MR? But fingers crossed your goes through any day now x

I sent it friday evening and was done monday morning and sent to a decision maker. But im sure it takes a while from this point for a decision maker to work out backpay etc and it then hit your bank account! Hope this helps xx

That could be the difference then im not sure, the whole system doesnt make much sense they should 100% do all claims in date order. But im glad your decemember one is getting done quicker. Ive been waiting nearly a year for my NC MR x

NC SD 26/11
I rang at the beginning of January because I saw alot of claims for my sons scan date being awarded. Got told it was forwarded to the medical team and that I should hear in 2 weeks. I haven't but I also haven't had time to call again.
But now I see a few people are still getting decisions from October.

Not yet, but I still haven't called - just waiting! It seems fairly random as to when cases are worked and I feel like mine is still recent compared to lots of the scan dates. I keep compulsively checking this thread though to see where similar scan dates are at.

Hopefully now yours is with a decision maker it won't be too much longer! :)

Fingers crossed yours isn’t too long either x

Just seen a 24july mr has been contacted wt the hell

Tiredmum25 · 29/01/2026 18:57

After being awarded MRC & LRC do my daughter last April her condition has worsened so I’ve got reports together to back this up
COC forms sent 18/12/25 returned 31/12 SD 7/1
When I did my daughters original claim my son was declined due to age at the time I’ve now put in a NC for my son forms sent 22/12 returned recorded 28/1 due to deadline being 02/2 but was awaiting his senco to complete her section & a copy of his perscription my son also an issues with his legs which he is now under Paediatrics & physio after he had x rays we had been previously been waiting from July but glad they’ve now picked this up & he is being treated properly through all the right channels and we have the evidence to support. He is under Senco at school and awaiting ASD assessment but getting support put in place for him.
so stressful doing all the does and evidence again but glad we had more to provide them with. I wish everyone the best on here it’s not an easy journey but keep fighting & keep your chins up

Positive post for renewals

SD 11/11
renewal due 27/2

got my letter through the post today. My 15 year old daughter has been given the same rates until the day before her 17th birthday. What a relief!!

don’t know when PIP will send me a letter though as I thought they did this once they turn 16. She is 16 in October.

I’ve always felt so guilty for her because I didn’t know I could claim for her until she was 11 so I am relieved to know the claim isn’t ending.

That’s great news for you, I’ve just sent mine off and had text today to say it had been received so presuming today is my scan date! Renewal not due until 05/06 but I wasn’t sure what processing times were these days- it was 6 months 2 years ago and I doubt that’s got any better! X

I’m sure I remember you from last time! I had my other daughter’s renewal last year and that came through 3 days before it was due. The decision was made on the 21st Jan and was due 27th Feb so 5 weeks before this time. Thank god because I was starting to get stressed! Good luck! Both my renewals now have stayed the same.
