They seem to be acknowledging new claims a lot quicker this time round. Seen a lot of people hearing back after 4 to 5 weeks so hopefully it will be the same for us. I’m currently 4 weeks tomorrow from SD. Waited 15 weeks from SD for my other son last year. I’m constantly checking FB and on here for updates 🙈😂 x

Wow that’s very quick ! I’m hoping to send my form of Thursday , I waited 16 weeks bang on last time which I thought was quick too , I’m very nervous tho as seems like a lot of little ladies are being declined 💛 my son was awarded last time , this time around it’s for my daughter
💛

Lonnie1423 · 26/01/2026 10:27

fingers crossed your little one gets what she’s entitled too. I’m worrying my son won’t get awarded as he doesn’t have a formal diagnosis yet. The only evidence I sent was his 2 yr health visitor review, his portage report and then his SENCo worker wrote a report from nursery. Last year my other son had his diagnosis, so I had a lot more evidence to back up his daily and night time needs. He was awarded HRC from 2025 until 2028. X

Hate how they can be on the phone sometimes - I think I’m going to ring this week and chase - it’s well overdue now!

I wouldn’t worry my son hasn’t been diagnosed yet and he was awarded, all I sent was my 11 page statement off all his needs day and night, school senco report and that’s it, my daughter isn’t diagnosed either but school have refered her to paeds for adhd/ autism & severe anxiety and all I can send in for her is the school report for referal and my statement 💛

Babylipswifey · 26/01/2026 10:40

mr scan date 20/08/25 so still got about 2 months left

to be honest I didn’t think my son was going to get awarded last year and was surprised when he was awarded HRC. I know myself that they should be entitled but there’s always that worry that I haven’t put enough details on the form. My son has got referrals coming out of his ears so hopefully that counts for something as well 🤞 it’s just a waiting game now. I’m also trying not to ring up yet. Going to try and wait until at least 6 weeks since SD 😂 x

I didn’t either and was shocked to ! They ain’t bothered about a diagnosis it’s if ur child requires more assistance prompting hands on care than a child of the same age with no disabilities keep all fingers crossed I ain’t even sent my form off yet lol 💛

Yeah I know what you mean with the diagnosis doesn’t really matter but the diagnosis letter that I had for my son last year was really detailed and explained all his difficulties which was reported by his paediatric consultant, which I think really helped with his award. Hopefully the evidence that I’ve sent this time round will count for something. It won’t be long before DLA are sending out the mobility forms for my 4 year old as he turns 5 this year 🙈 good luck with your little ones claim and I’ll update on here when I hear something x

My MR is begining of july and im still waiting too! My daughter is autistic and got combined ADHD. She also has hip dysplasia, has bowed legs, bladder and bowel incontinence. I got turned down for NC sent of a lot of extra evidence so im hoping hers doesnt get refused too!
It is very stressful waiting and i feel your pain especially when it was a complete decline and you feel like you'll have to fight all the way to tribunal. X

It’s ridiculous especially when I know someone who has a 1 year old that got accepted straight away with no evidence it seems to be more evidence you have got the worse off you are! I hope you hear soon it’s ridiculous 🤞🤞

Thank you, you too! I know people who have been awarded too with hardly any evidence.

I sent off booklets full for my twins, and it worked out well for us theyve just been awarded HRC and one gets HRM. I do believe it all depends whose lap it lands on X

Childs renewal ends 04/03 - just been informed that I have to wait until the 02/03 to see if they have an answer (but likely to hear a week before renewal date). Was informed that as it's a renewal it's not priority, apparently! Just an FYI incase anyone else is waiting.

TheSnappyTurtle · 26/01/2026 14:13

Renewal due 27/2
scan date 11/11

No more evidence to send off now as I don’t think the autism diagnostic report will be ready so it’s just a waiting game. Feeling really anxious today she won’t be renewed the same rates. Currently trying to move house as she needs her own room, she’s 15, 16 in October and worried about her transfer to PIP if she is renewed too. Got a 14 year old neurotypical and 11 year old autistic and ADHD, fully single parent and I feel tired with it all today. We’re 24 months into ADHD referral after being told the wait was 15-24 months. I want to call but have no reason to and know they’ll just tell me to wait.

Red1991 · 26/01/2026 14:34

Hello lovelies well I just called to make sure they have all info I sent for my sons MR and she said his claim is nowhere near going to be looked at yet as the MR are taking a long time my SD is 16/12 tho so I knew I’d be in for a long wait and they didn’t say anything about my daughter NC so just more waiting I guess sigh

Blujen · 26/01/2026 15:27

NC scan date 24/12. Called today for an update and they said it’s on a pile waiting to go to decision maker. How long does this usually take. We are on 4 weeks 5 days so far I’m so unbelievably anxious 😩😩

vikiking · 26/01/2026 15:28

Scan date 22/12
Just rang as it's been 5 weeks - no outcome yet.
the man sounded so bored 😂

My renewal is due by the 19th of April, when I called up they said it can normally take eight weeks for them to make a decision. The lady didn't say I had to wait for my renewal date for them to look at it? It's like they tell everyone different stories 🙄.
My renewal scan date was the 22nd of December, so we'll let you know if I hit anything before my renewal date x

JemJam1 · 26/01/2026 16:22

@Cassiex
Ive been reading that everyone is being told different things and wait times. I really feel it's luck of the draw?
I was shocked too when I heard and how it's not a priority? - ours was sent in October and scanned on 2nd November.. not a peep since! Hence why I phoned to make sure it's not lost in the system
