Hi no girl nothing yet I keep making an excuse not to call aswel it’s the stress of getting someone cheeky I don’t no if I’ll be able to hold my mouth don’t want it to interfere with my claims lol I did send another peice of evidence for my son MR so im gonna try my best Monday to check they have everything x

Okay, well let me know how you get on. It is annoying when you get call handlers that dont want to help or are just plain rude. It boils my blood! Like what is the need for it.
I really hope all goes well, my MR is in july and i still havent heard a thing and i sent extra evidence on tuesday! I also got told to send of my oldest extra evidence and send it as late evidence to see if it changes the decision makers mind. Ive just had her renewal pack in the post so hoping they change her award and the date instead of me having to do a renewal xx

Got a letter today, confirming they received my new claim on the 30th Dec.
Letter was dated the 16th.
Does this mean it's with a decision maker now? Or just still in the queue?
This is all new to me so I'm feeling so lost not knowing what's going on 😅

Same scan date as me. I got a text from them on 31st dec to say they received the forms. Then a letter on 7th Jan asking for Birth Certificate. Had the birth certificate sent back to me on 16th Jan then a letter sent to me 19th Jan to say they have received my sons claim forms 🙈 pointless sending me the last letter as I’ve already had correspondence from them 😂 just playing the waiting game now.

Isn't the wait just the worst!
They should have a progress chasing thing online so people would stop wondering what's going on 😅
Read posts online about people having fast responses for new claims, which has only made me more impatient to know when a decision will be made 🫣

Yeah it’s a nightmare. Last year my other son’s claim was scanned on 27 Feb and I didn’t receive acknowledgement of them receiving the forms until 25 April. From receiving the letter on the 25th April I received his back pay 7 weeks later. From ringing for his forms to receiving the funds I waited 21weeks.
I’ve noticed on facebook groups this time that they seem to be processing NC a lot quicker. So hopefully not too long to wait. I agree though they should have an online system where you can upload evidence and track the progress x

3amazinkids · 24/01/2026 18:37

Has anyone won after having their appeal overturned in court? How long does it take for back payments? Apparently they take longer than back payments due from an MR etc

3amazinkids · 24/01/2026 19:40

When you do a renewal, do they take in to account what you got for your previous award? I know some people say it’s just like doing a whole new claim but my son’s disease is so rare that I had to go to tribunal to fight his case and get his needs across! I honestly don’t think I could cope with doing all that again

Hello, im back if anyone remembers me from this time last year.

My dc first ever DLA claim for middle rate care was successful from July 2025 to April 2026, which meant we had to renew her claim. Sent the forms off yesterday (Saturday 24th January) along with consultant letter and consultant reference as well as proof of 2 medicines she will take long term for her condition which is pretty much going to be for the rest of her life.

Do I get a scan date for renewals? When do i call in to aee if they received it, is it 2 weeks again, and is it the same upto 25 weeks waiting time for them to approve and renew the claim?

Many thanks

Your renewal will most likely be done a couple of weeks to a few days before your claim is due to end. They dont go from scan dates on renewals x

Hey I’m on a renewal as well. I received a letter saying it was scanned on the 29th December, so you should get one. I have read that some people have received texts though.

@lmtabI had this issue last year I wanted my son verified and the carers and disability element backdating, I wrote in my journal and it got to 3 weeks so I rang up and explained the lady on the phone said she will put a note on for this to be looked at before 6.pm I had a journal message 3 hours later stating sorry for the wait and they were backdating an amount and it will be in my account within 3 working days . It can be done on the day they like to make u wait, I would ring and explain 💛

Kirstylou91 · 25/01/2026 19:42

I’m back if anyone remembers got MRC & LRM for my son Jan 2025-Jan 2027, renewal not up yet however I’m sending my daughters NC of next week SD is 13/01 💛

Tirednamechange · 25/01/2026 20:13

I've seen quite a few renewals from the end of February, when ours is due, already done and letters recieved on the Facebook group. It hadn't been done when I phoned Friday morning and I told myself I would wait until Friday to call again but the more people done from when ours is due the more I want to ring. It would be really nice if when the regular payment goes in on Tuesday it's a bigger payment where they've changed the rates

I remember you from last time. I’ve recently sent my other son’s claim in. Hopefully the wait isn’t going to be as long as it was last year 🤞

They seem to be acknowledging new claims a lot quicker this time round. Seen a lot of people hearing back after 4 to 5 weeks so hopefully it will be the same for us. I’m currently 4 weeks tomorrow from SD. Waited 15 weeks from SD for my other son last year. I’m constantly checking FB and on here for updates 🙈😂 x
