After 22 week long wait for my twins NCs i recieved a text this morning to say they qualify. I rang them immediately and was told they have both been awarded HRC and one of them also recieves HRM. I am over the moon that my twins struggles have been noticed and taken seriously and their awards acurately reflect their needs. Im beyond one happy momma!!

Did you send extra evidence after they’ve been scanned? I am tempted to make a sleep diary and try to write a more thorough explanation of how difficult his needs are.

I sent in load of extra evidence after my scan date whilst ive been waiting. The last evidence id sent was three days ago was a speech and language report. He basically backed up everything i had said and also put a communication plan together detailing we have to learn new ways of dealing with and communication with them as theyre non-verbal. I did a sleep diary and daily log of their care needs for two weeks which i believe must of helped. Send in all the evidence you have, even if your case has been looked at they will class it as late evidence and it can change the award outcome xx

Thank you. Will do that. I really want my point to get through the decision maker. Even just dressing him up for school can take half an hour with him running off everytime. I will include a sleep diary as well. Really hoping for a favourable outcome 🤞 massive congratulations to you and your twins 😊

I put about the difficulties getting dressed, feeding them, the struggles understanding their wants and needs (as non-verbal) and how they get dysregulated when we are out or someone new comes near them. They dont like to be touched (unless on their terms) getting them to sleep and staying asleep. How they nut the walls and rock their cots when stressed out. I put every little thing i could think off. But i did have multiple different professionals backing everything i said up! Put everything you could possibly think off, keep detailed notes over the next week!
I really hope you get what your child deserves, good luck and let me know your outcome!
Thank you again! 😘

Fingers crossed for you.
I’ve never applied before so this is all new to me.
I’ve just been told I should apply for my son aswell as she is under the mental health team and waiting assessment for ADD
Do I have to wait a certain time between claims or can I apply any time

MamaTo3under4 · 24/01/2026 12:54

Oh right I was you I would apply asap you don’t have wait, when I applied last year my son wasn’t diagnosed either and I barely had any evidence tbh and still got awarded middle rate care @ThisCheekyOliveDuckxx
