Does everyone get a phone call while their NC is being worked? Or just some?
I avoid unknown numbers but thinking maybe I should start answering them?

No not everyone, not everyone gets a text either.

That's so annoying. I'll keep on the look out then 🙄
Would be much simpler if people could track claims online 🫣

Finally after 30 weeks I’ve had my phone call. She said they’d send a letter out but I explained we’re in a rural area so haven’t had post since 2 weeks before Christmas but I’d requested a text and she said she’d just ring me instead. Fingers crossed. I feel sick 😬

Good luck, fingers crossed for you it goes your way! Xx

Lonnie1423 · 21/01/2026 14:28

@Clareabelle24 oh no, try ringing them back if you can. I've just seen a mr has been done from December. And we've been waiting 6months

@Kittenheaven23 DS goes to sleep ok and sleeps 7ish hours. I think melatonin only lasts 4-8 hours so I’m not sure it would be of any use, could also backfire as he may start relying on it to get to sleep.

Good luck with the MR, and transferring to PIP x

Morning, after 33 weeks of waiting for an MR, the decision maker phoned me on Monday and couldn’t understand why we were declined to start off with & asked if my son was diagnosed yet or still waiting!
we have had payment of £7,929.60 this morning, can anyone help me work out rates?
I phoned for forms on 31st October 2024 & mr was 6th June. I think Mrc and lrm?
such a relief to hear what he said on Monday 💜

Boymum72748 · 22/01/2026 06:53

NC was made January 20 last year was completely refused and awarded nothing, did MR July 07, rang yesterday and decision was made and they have not changed there decision again he has been awarded nothing as apparently his needs are no different to any other child’s. I am so angry and upset, my son has Cerebal Palsy, and multiple other diagnosis, he has a wheelchair, awaiting Autism assessment, waiting for adaptations to be made to the home, he is awaiting multiple surgery. I just can’t actually believe again he has been awarded nothing it’s shocking. Next step tribunal, it is very stressful

Edited

I'm so sorry to hear they declined you again especially when your son's needs definitely will mean he's entitled to additional support please fight this as to me it sounds as thought they haven't looked at the evidence

Keep fighting mumma take them to tribunal I know not easy at all but you git this and this is what this platform is about supporting parents to ensure our children receive the support they are entitled to x

Hi guys I’m quite new to this I did do a claim for my son last year and was awarded middle rate care however thinking about it now I wish I did a mrc as I think he’s good be getting hrc, iv just put in a claim for my daughter scan date is 9.01, but now im starting to doubt how well iv filled out the forms I found it quite hard getting across how extensive her needs are ( undiagnosed autism) I’m just wondering if anyone knows how their system works when awarding and what sort of things they look for on the forms to award high rate care I think she would definitely need hrc I just don’t know if I filled out th forms very well I would appreciate anyone’s help thank you! X
