Well i hope it does get soon for you as its stressful enough waiting. And then having to wait to get stuff your child needs is even harder. Ive been waiting since august for my NCs, we need specialist beds for them as they keep hurting themselves in the ones they have got. xx

Oh that's awful! I am so sorry. I don't know how they can justify such a long wait when others are being done so quick! It's so awful, being the parent to a child with extra needs can be hard enough but you have to fight for everything else all the time too! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

So, had my court appeal this morning, all I’m going to say is anyone waiting to do this be prepared! It wasn’t very nice, got quite emotional and what isn’t made clear is that they will only look at yr claim from your scan date until your 1st decision, anything after that does not count! I’ve have sent pages and pages over the last 19mth and the majority of it wasn’t taken in to consideration! Needless to say, I’m not holding out for a positive outcome but will find out by the end of the week 😢

Flowers90 · 19/01/2026 15:59

Received DDS claim award today. She has gone from LRC only to MRC and low mobility. Her claim runs out in August and hasnt been extended so will be doing it all again in a few months

vikiking · 19/01/2026 16:01

Just rang up to see if there was any updates 4 weeks today it got scanned so wasn't expecting much... no decision made yet 😅 this has got my anxiety through the roof, can't cope with stuff like this haha

Lonnie1423 · 19/01/2026 16:38

@Flowers90 can I ask what was ur scan date?

Flowers90 · 19/01/2026 16:40

@Lonnie1423 our scan date was 26th August. COC

All they say is new claims are taking 25 week which we all know theyre not! I have been told multiple different things. I rang up last week told me its with decision maker, rang today and she said its not. And to call back on friday as a decision should be coming soon! Its so stressful, i have 5 children all with autism/adhd and multiple other health problems. It is so hard having to fight for them all the time. I have two MR going on at the moment one was a straight decline, and the other im fighting for HRC as she deserves it. So still have a long wait ahead off me regardless!
thank you so much though, its nice to think other people are wishing you well. I hope you also get the decision you want and soon! x

@Princessmom222 you would expect them to give honest answers seeing as there adults but they don't. Which makes it more stressful when we have enough going on

It’s disgusting you’ve still not heard anything. I think it’s a joke that new claims are taking just a few weeks yet MR’s forever. I’m still waiting for it to be assigned to a decision maker, still in a queue 24/06. I’m so fed up of it now xx

Yeah i know, clearly they do not understand the stress of having children with multiple issues. Theyd soon be the ones complaining if it was their child going through the issues our children do!

They should definitely even out the wait times across NCs, MR and COC as the current system is simply not fair. I always seem to have to wait though haha others NCs are like 4-5 weeks and im on 21 weeks. Im so sorry your MR isnt done yet, thats a joke! I have seen some july done, mines the beginning of July and hasnt been done yet. And im sending off my other MR tomorrow for a COC that didnt get changed got lots of other evidence to show her night time needs as they said all 9 year olds are up all night.

fingers crossed for you that your decision is very soon and your fight is finally over. Its hard having to fight for everything isnt it. xx

Any news from NC SD 18/12? I’m still waiting to hear from them.

Also, do they only pay on a Tuesday?xx

Hi all, my children receive MRC and LRM, but it ends in October this year so will need to re-apply. Does anyone know how long the wait times are at the moment, and when is best to re-apply? Thanks

Lonnie1423 · 20/01/2026 10:48

@MelloYellow still not with decision maker. I've asked for manager to call me as I was given false information last week
