Hi, I was told today my claim had been looked at on Monday but that no decision had been made yet. It was only scanned in on the 8th so wouldn't have thought it would of been looked at yet. Is it still likely to be 25 weeks would anybody have thought?

Gemini000 · 16/01/2026 17:14

Clareabelle24 · 16/01/2026 15:23

My MR is 24/06 and been told to wait another 2-3 even after being made a priority

Aww I hope yiu hear next week.. I don't understand how its like 30 weeks for mr and now about 4 weeks for new claim when I waited 18 weeks.. good luck..im on week 24 MR

Lonnie1423 · 16/01/2026 17:47

I'll be 27week next week for mr. I really don't understand it. They are flying through new claims but not considering people who have been waiting a long time

Was yours a new claim?
Mine was recieved the 30th Dec. Adviser told me it was there, received and he could see it but that it hadn't been logged yet (rang wednesday) I thought it was logged when it was put on the system so I'm not expecting much.
He also started randomly going on about the process for renewals. Which was weird as haven't even heard back from our new claim 🤣

Yeah, new claim. I don't hold much hope for it being dealt with too quickly, but was surprised to see how soon some people are hearing back on a decision

Oh wow. That is quick.
The bloke really confused me tho. As i got the text the 31st, which i thought meant that was the scan date but then he said it was waiting to be logged 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
First time applying so I'm clueless.
Then the talking about renewals confused me further. Wish I'd asked more when on the phone.
Hopefully he meant it had been looked at and awaiting decision. Heres hoping lol

Yeah that is strange that he started talking about renewals. I think their trying to work through new claims quicker so that there isn't such a big back pay maybe - only a guess though.
I claimed for my eldest last year. That took 16 weeks

That would make sense. Weird how they're not done in date order tho.
Bloke was lovely so maybe just likes to talk.
Was telling me how, when doing a renewal, you can request a copy of the original claim form to help you renew 😅
Fingers crossed we're both not waiting too long

Renewal sent off, scanned 29th December. Not due till the end of march. Sent a lot of new evidence like EHCP, autism diagnosis, sensory plans, next steps etc. I don’t know why I’m so nervous.

Absolutely no need to worry, this was our first renewal after getting MR, sent renewal with autism diagnosis etc etc.

Got HR and LM, and its for 5 and half years

Senmum42 · 17/01/2026 19:02

MR for HRM scan date 27th June. Was awarded HRC LRM on renewal, renewal date 1st April. They rang school a week or so ago. Luckily the senco at the school is amazing and backed us up. Backpay 16th Jan so awarded HRM, no letter yet.

Hello ive just sent off my sons renewal. But im worrying as when I first done his claim he was in school, I did put the school sencos details on the original but I didn't get anyone to fill the about him part out. Obviously he is now home educated as he couldn't cope with school. But im worrying this will go against us as I haven't added any school details. Anyone been in this situation and been renewed okay?

My twins are only three and are not in a school as we are struggling to find a nursery that can give them the right support they require. My claims are finally with a case manager and should find out in the next few days. I will let you know our outcome once i find out!
