Hey! Thought I'd make a new thread as previous one very close to being full!

These threads have been a big help whilst waiting for the outcome of our application. Sure they help everyone else too! It's stressful!

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.

New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?

Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.

Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.

If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)

Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.

If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Currently in end July/Aug for decisions, seem to be getting through the August decisions at a faster rate than Julys!

Scan date 28/08. New claim. Caved in and called today and was told it’s been allocated but that they’re advising 25 weeks.

Scan date 22/08 NC. I have not bothered calling. Last call was mid December to check some extra evidence had been scanned on. I am just going to try and wait it out as the call handlers seem to only have limited info or lie. Good luck to all those still waiting and Congrats to those who have received there awards. These threads are a godsend. As I am all new to this

I called this morning they said my claim is not with a DM. I called again 4pm and a decision has been made. My son is 16 (I put the claim in before he turned 16) he has autism. He has been awarded HRC and LRC. I’m so happy. This group has really helped me through the last few agonising weeks. I also learned that I can claim through UC for disabled child. Thank you all and I’m wishing you all the best on this difficult journey. Happy New Year ❤️

Coc SD 12/08 trying to hold off calling as coc seem to be taking longer than nc but over 20 weeks now and think I’m going to cave and check. Are they open NYE does anyone know? X

Eek are renewals taking 15weeks?! SD 17/12 bit award finishes end January

SD 22/08 NC - called 18/12 was told assigned to DM. Called today - NOT assigned and still waiting to be assigned! Coming into week 19 now!! Really hope it’s our turn soon!

Called this afternoon said it was being looked at but no decision made.

NC SD 12/09. Hoping to only have just under 3 weeks left as that’s what they originally told me but I know that won’t be the case. I’m aiming more for end of Jan. got a bit worried then as couldn’t find this new thread 😂 I can’t continue the wait without this thread especially now I’m getting closer to the end 😂

Rang today, it’s with a case worker, no updates as yet. The lady said I should hear something soon but that it could take up to 25 weeks.

Really hoping to hear something this week!
