Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐
New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated
UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case
number for an update 121-4600 0800 121-4600
currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

News from me I will be sending the ASD diagnosis report this week, it's finally official now hoping the school really start to help and this will help the MR 🤞 good luck everyone

No one ever calls me on private number! I’m hoping there not calling for extra evidence because I don’t have any 🤦‍♀️ only sent in pupil passports from her middle school explaining her behaviour and what support was in place. Ie time out pass, fidget toys. Own table at back of classroom, reduced time table for lessons. Plus the school filled the form and said she’s been on the send register since 2022 and a referral for autism had been made. (Still havnt heard If she’s been excepted or rejected for the waiting list)
Shes now gone upto high school… suspended all the time, time out/ hub pass put in place. But they said they cannot comment on send/ additional needs untill she’s been there for 2 terms!! So frustrating! So if they contact her school I don’t think there gonna back me.
didnt know if it was worth sending in paper work of her suspension and behaviour from this school?

Keep getting told different things - it is with a DM, it's not with a DM but it is with a case manager waiting to be assigned to a DM, although today I was told that a case manager is a DM and makes the decisions...

Really pleased for everyone that has had their childrens claims awarded - fingers crossed those of us still waiting hear something soon too 🤞

@JW070116 No his names not Graham 😂 Grahams a call handler my ex is a DM.. I called a week after sending off my claim to make sure it had arrived and the guy said did you send it free post or recorded i said free post, he talked nonsense for about 6 minutes about how you should always send recorded ect and claims are going missing and I'd have to refill it out if it was lost and I'd then miss my backdated date and I said to him.. Instead of trying to tell me all the things that may have gone wrong can you just maybe check the system.. He checked and said oh yes we have it, it was recieved 5 days ago I said well there we go isn't that great news you didn't need to waste your time telling me about whaat could have went wrong and what I did wrong sending it free post then did you.. He started laughing 🤣🤣🤣🤣 he then spoke on the phone to me for a futher 15 minutes about absolute nonsense.. He was nice though not rude or anything, sounded like he had all the time in the world for a chat haha

I would send everything and anything you have tbh. And it could be a case of them calling to just ask a couple of questions not request more evidence. Fingers crossed for good news before Christmas!

That's why I don't want to ring. I'm about a week behind you. I'm too anxious that I've not provided enough evidence either 🤞for it not to be too much longer to know either way

🤣🤣🤣 some of them do it seems, I had a good old rant to a call handler about doctors, schools and hospital wait times for about 20 minutes last month, think we both felt a bit better after that 😂 I remember now that's you said DM it took me around 30 mins to catch up of all the messages, you can get DLA rant blind on here but it's a fantastic place and gives you way more information han the call handlers can 🤪😂

@PositivityRipples so when you said new dms for August and September. Is that brand new staff? So all the older dms are gonna complete Julys whilst the new ones crack on with August and September at the same time? And do you/him thinks it’ll speed them up a bit? So August and Septembers could be getting done pretty sharpish? Or have I read that wrong? My scan date 12/09. Would love to think I won’t be waiting until 25 weeks 😂
