Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐
New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated
UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case
number for an update 121-4600 0800 121-4600
currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

Yeah. I had already sent in quite a bit with the claim, but Son’s SENCO had written a great supporting letter so thought I would get that in before they ask for further info as I know I still could have wait on my hands. She said it was received yesterday morning and is showing as scanned on the system. I hope your has been scanned on as you have had a long wait. Fingers crossed for good news for you

Nope im still waiting not on the system she said phone back Wednesday lovely lady I spoke to if it’s not on then im sending it again x

I feel for you all, they do not understand what stress they put on parents that already have daily struggles. This one is unnecessary. I'll keep my fingers crossed that all goes smoothly from here on in for you x

No I know cost me just under £9 to send it let’s hope it goes on today I’ll phone Wednesday like she said and if not I’ll have to send again as they won’t accept email I asked that today 🤣🤣 x

The waiting and not knowing is awful. We’ve planned all along to take it to tribunal if we need to but need MR outcome first. Your case demonstrates they wanted to see if you were going to take it to tribunal before deciding to grant it

Just off the phone, tribunal has been lapsed. DLA have overturned their decision. Awarded HRC and HRM for my 3 year old til 2033.
Keep strong!! Keep up the fight, boss being the voice for your kids.
Know one knows them all better than you do. Wishing you all the luck and patience in the world xx

So I’ve just got off the phone and the lady asked me what I would like her to say
I said well obviously I want a decision but I know that’s not going to happen
she said no it’s not with a DM but it’s at the next best thing, anyone know what the next best thing is
I asked why it’s not being done in date order and asked her explain that to me - she put the phone down

They are just so rude some of them no compassion or empathy with the situation if they updated the letters stating correct wait times they would avoid all of this x

One I’ve sent to PIP paid for delivery also hasn’t been scanned on but has been delivered. Hopefully have yours on today

No this can’t be right! I use to work in insurance for direct line and it takes a week to change a letter on the main system this surely can’t be right and doesn't cost anything 🤣🤣

They are aware they aren’t going in date order. I’ll be mentioning this to manager if anyone bothers to call!

I just need them to stop telling me it’s done in date order when quite clearly it isn’t. Then I’d be more accepting of the fact everyone behind my date has been sorted😂

@PositivityRipples said all of Julys would’ve been assigned even if call handler can’t see it on their system 🤷‍♀️ the date issue is bugging me. I want to speak to someone to that effect today!

I would absolutely want KCs done before mine. It’s not a nice feeling seeing ours skipped for dates further along makes me assume the worst
