Hello everybody, I have made a new thread please put in your scan date, hopefully we hear some good news this month. please be kind and feel free to share scan date, entitlement award and what child is diagnosed with as others in similar position can feel uplifted in these stressful times. 💐
New claims (NC) are taking ‘around’ 20 weeks.
Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) & Change Of Circumstances (COC) between 20-25 weeks approx.
Renewals between 15-20 weeks approx
tribunals: when you disagree with MR and are considered by a court
scan date (SD) date form was scanned on the system and counting weeks for decision
original claim date: date you called up for the forms and you will be backdated
UC : universal credit
DWP: department of work and pensions
DM: decision maker; the person who assesses each claim and awards/decline a case
number for an update 121-4600 0800 121-4600
currently we are in July/August for decisions! xx

i rang and was told a decision has been made yesterday & i will get a letter within 7-10 days, i asked if anyone could tell me the decision over the phone to be told no one is available ( 11:30am ) so ringing back soon lol🤣

I rang they said to me I had to wait, I then ended that call and rang back up to general enquiries and she told me all my sons award details over the phone

i rang back today at 12:40pm asking for the update & the women kindly told me the decision has been made & a letter has been sent out to me and she said if i cant wait for the letter she can re direct me to someone who can tell me & so she did, my son has been awarded from yesterday & my back pay is on the way!:)

Hello everyone. Scan Date 06/08/24.
I have been reading your messages in this group daily for the past month. It has been very helpful. Thankyou. My son is 3 next month and it is suspected he has autism. He is undergoing numerous hearing tests at the hospital as he doesn't respond to his name or instructions. His sister who is 4 years old has a diagnosis of autism and she receives HRC, no mobility yet. I was making a coffee, reading these messages this afternoon when a strong voice said to me to ring the DLA. I rang at 1.30pm and I was answered within a minute. I was so shocked, I stuttered on the phone. Straight away he asked for my NI number, he never asked for my DLA reference number on the letter. I asked for an update, he said a decision was made yesterday morning and I should get a letter within 7-10 working days. I asked if I could please find out now as I'm worried, he said he could not tell me. I did not receive any text. After reading a previous message of someone ringing the general enquiries to find out their decision, I'm doing that now. I'm waiting in the queue. Wish me luck 🫰

I got through to general enquiries after 45 minutes. A lovely lady answered the phone and was so helpful. She told me the decision was made yesterday morning and that my son has been awarded HRC. I told her I want to cry. She said it will be backdated to the 1st of July and payment has been sent. I'm still in shock. My heart was racing on the phone waiting for her to tell me. All I sent was the audiologists letters of their action plan, the nursery questionnaire for an autism assessment and the pathway letter. I thought I didn't send enough evidence and was ready for decline. All the best to everyone! It is such an emotional process to go through.

Today’s update: M/R 26/7 STILL NOT WITH A DM honestly this is absolutely ridiculous 😩 hang in there everyone, we’re all go mad together 😜

I ring every single day and nothing changes 🤯 I preying that the lady that posted on here about all July claims being with DMs by the 22nd dec is still on path. 🤞🏻

I’m the same it’s draining and I can’t see this for myself I rang today still no decision 22nd is Sunday they surely don’t work Sundays but hey let’s stay positive and keep hope x

They do work Saturdays and Sundays but phone lines are closed so there is still hope. I just want to forget about it all now. You’re right it’s mentally and emotionally draining. Hang on in there. Xx

Hey Iv been reading and looking for weeks. My NC SD is 12/08. I can see August dates are well on their way now it’s making me need a nervous toilet 😂 my son is 12 I sent no evidence just a statement from my friend who helps me with childcare. Still waiting to be referred via the school. His a handful and most days I don’t even went to get up because I know I’m about to do a 30/60 min stint just to get him out of bed and dressed etc . I’m feeling like I’m getting declined since as I see so many people saying what evidence they sent but I didn’t send anything. Was just going on a friends experience for when she claimed. I did call yesterday to chase but lady sounded half asleep tbh don’t really trust her saying ‘February isn’t here yet’ x
