DLA Wait Times 2023 (Part 10)

Hi All,

I have been reading previous threads related to this which all seem to be full so apologies if this is wrong (Im new). Applied for DLA for my 18month old son, scan date was 11/04 and had letter saying upto 15 weeks for a decision. Question is, i received a 2nd letter from DWP asking for my sons original birth certificate to be sent in and it would be sent back immediately. Has anybody else had this?

Hi all my scan date is 10th March I phoned this morning and was told it should go to decision makers on Friday when it gets to 15 weeks and anything up to 2 weeks after that. Anyone else on or before the date been granted yet ? X

My date 10th have you had any further information yet? i contacted them this morning and i was told its going to a decision maker on Friday when it gets to 15 weeks and could take up to 2 weeks from that Fingers crossed for you 🤞 hope it doesn't take too long 🙂

My scan date is 20th March and I rang them today and they said that it will be another 2 weeks it’s been 13 weeks for us today so I think everyone’s waiting around 15 weeks. Fingers crossed you get your decision soon! I did see on this thread someone from 10th had been accepted so hopefully will be straightforward for you! Xx

I called up this evening, lovely lady answered and said to call back on thursday as that would be coming into week 16 for us, said the decision should only be a day after the case is picked up, unless they need further evidence etc, but to call Thursday to check it's being looked at, fingers crossed everyone gets what they're hoping for ❤

April 3rd scan date here! I also got asked to send mine and lo birth certificate in. It took them 4 weeks to scan them and send them back to me! I was panicking incase they lost them🫣! Told I will hear middle of July 15 weeks! On edge because my daughter is only 2 but her Pediatrician adviced me to send it for dla and wrote me up a letter explaining everything. I don’t think it will be enough my health visitor is out this Friday but by time she writes me something up and I send it of I may not have time for them to see it 😣 heard it’s alot harder to be rewarded at such a early age

I just spoke to them and our scan date is 20th March she said it’s still waiting to be sent to a decision maker she said it’s got another 13 days to be sent then should be looked through the day after and a text will be sent so I’m thinking between 3rd-10th July 🤞 xx

🤞🏽I'm 8 days behind you so hopefully hear around a similar time. The anxiety is building with the wait 😩

My scan date is 9th of March, spoke to them this afternoon and they have said it's with a decision maker, hope this helps other people with their scan dates/wait times xx

My scan date is March 9th too and I was told today mine Will go to decision maker week 16 thanks

My scan date was 29 March so a few more weeks for me has anyone been recently awarded or denied? And if denied what were their reasonings?

Yeah it would, like a log in service to track your claim and see a rough time frame and any updates etc, it would definitely help ease peoples anxiety and free the phones uo for people who do need to speak to somebody x

I have just seen on another thread someone scan date 8th March awarded yesterday (20th June) so yours should be pretty soon 😊 good luck 👍

The closer it's getting now the more anxious I'm getting does anyone else feel like that 😔. My scan date is the 10th so very close now 😅 🤞.

Ohh thank you for letting me know, I might call them up tomorrow and see if theyve made a decision, and yeah I felt fine knowing it was so far away, but as I got to 13 weeks I started thinking about it alot more 😂 fingers crossed for everybody 🤞 xx
